hey guys tell me that this is happening, how close were we to Gaitan or Snejder or Vidal, it wasn't never that close was it? I'd be broken man if this doesn't happen...

Over Modric, Kroos, Iniesta, Busquets? Not so sure about that. And that's if you have three midfielders.
What type of midfielder do you want though? If you want the incisive midfield maestro then those players don't come into the equation.
Not everybody plays the 'Give the ball to the front 3' style of football.

it's happening, it's over, it's lock the thread status

This is happening! Do you need someone to hold you as well? And feck Gaitan but we were pretty close to the other two deals happening as well.

I have just seen a few compilations, and seriously, he is ridiculous.

We haven't had passing range and shots outside the box like that since Scholes and close control and dribbling like that since Ronaldo. And it is all in one package combined with insane physique and vision.

Question. Who right now is a better box to box midfielder than him right now?
not sure about box to box, but I don't think there is any young mid available with his kind of technique, power, and size. he's the perfect balance between strength and technical ability.

This is definitely at a further level already than where we got with Vidal and Sneijder for sure,

essentially they seem to be saying Raiola was mediating the deal last night in a phone conference and the deal is around 125m euros. Can someone translate better than google please.
That's all important regarding Pogba in this article, plus they are mentioning his wages will be 13 million per year on a 5 year contract and 20% of the fee provision for Raiola. The rest is info on Micki and Ibra and their interest in Higuain.

I'm so glad I can go back to gushing over him like I did when he was here. All those hours watching him at youth level aren't going to waste after all.
him leaving was so sad.... to me was sadder than Ronaldo, I may shed a tear when he gets his official debut

okay then I believe you. Now it's time to Mahrez and Fabinho and we are favourites to win the champions league... next year... but with Pogba we will be title contenders anyway..

I think Sneidjer hinged on agent fees as well or was it his wages? But reliable journos called that a done deal as well.

still way too much money. I don't understand why we would ever let go of a player with as much potential without a guaranteed buy back/first option clause like Barcelona and Real Madrid do. We are such amateurs when it comes to buying/selling players. 90% of our squad depreciate by double as soon as they join us.
you can't put a buyback clause in if you don't sell them.

For @Adisa who has missed the last 24 hours:

We officially placed our bid of 103/104M Euros, which was rejected.
The team went to China and a video of Jose showed a whiteboard in the back and people began to speculate the name of Pogba was on there.
Reports Juve wanted 120M euros and some add ons.
Big news broke across all Italian papers last night that Pogba asked Juve to let him leave.
Early reports this morning that the bid for around 120 went in and Juve will accept.

Essentially, it's happening and you've missed it all!

Hopefully by lunch time information comes out because this is getting way to close.

Mino's hardwork had produced fruit. Pogba’s transfer deal between Juventus and United which was engineering by the Italo-Dutch agent is close to be confirmed (unless Real surprises everybody). Juventus had known of United’s interest for Pogba for quite some time now who had been offered 13m of euros for the next 5 years + bonus and is close to agree in selling the player for 125m euros. The deal may have been fast-tracked in the past night, thanks to a telephone call from the agent who will net 20% of the deal. Such clause was part of a deal done during Pogba’s transfer to Juventus in 2012 and which only costed Juventus 5m euros. Juventus had never been involved in such a rich deal before. For Mino this will be a hatrick, after he managed to sort a deal for Ibra (15m for 1 season with an option to sign him for a second season) and Mkhitaryan for 31.5m (10m per season for 5 seasons)

I have to say out Real Madrid'ing Real Madrid is one of my favourite aspects of this transfer. Huge statement and a big middle finger to the rest of Europe about our power.

Did you not hear? They're letting him have us. (Because they can't afford him).

Meant to edit but deleted post instead. will repost.

@Massive Spanner i get that. But we SHOULD have just sold him if he wanted to leave to get more playing time

Forget Juventus, no one has been involved in such a rich deal before. More than 95m in profit. Feck me what a deal!

We drove his contract down to the last 12 months and then frantically started negotiating. On top of that we refused to pay what he asked AND played Park and Rafael ahead of him in midfield.
