Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

OMG what now?

was it his last BS article in Marca or something else I have not bothered to read?

Stealing a living is not the word, the slimy rat

He wrote in AS that Pogba is on his way to United, despite having a long-held preference to play for Real Madrid. It's not even remotely controversial.

It seems to be taken as read that Pogba "has a preference" for Madrid. I have yet to see anything come from him or his agent. It just seems to be something that is never questioned.

As much as I would like to see him here if he does come to United I would not want it to be because his first choice didn't think he was worth the money. It would be embarrassing for both parties and not the right attitude that we need at the club and that's not even taking into account the rumoured transfer fee. Guess money talks...

Can you think of a player who's preference would not be Real Madrid in these circumstances. Of course that's his preference. But it isn't happening. Pogba (should he join) will still be playing under a superb manager, for one of the biggest clubs on the planet, with a world record fee to live up to; he'll have plenty of motivation to make a success of it. I can certainly live with that.

Now the P-bomb: Has he asked for Paul Pogba? "The idea is always to improve. Do I like Pogba? Yes, of course, but there are lots of good players. We have a big and good squad and while the Euros were on, that's that. We have three games coming up and that's the focus at the moment."

Sound reasoning...

You just did exactly what I said people say without actually knowing the answer or having proof. Yes, he may prefer Madrid but that won't be just because you and other choose to hold Madrid in such high esteem compared to your own club. It does not necessarily mean that everyone else does. Sure it's easy to just go with what seems to be an obvious answer but there are very valid reasons why he would choose United. Many people go to work at places they believe in or have emotional ties to. I guess the moral of this story is, Let's not be so quick to judge Pogbas intentions. He may actually want to play for this little upstart club called Manchester United.

It's easy to say that but to be honest as a man that grew up in Manchester I'd prefer Madrid any day, if I was a millionaire football it wouldn't be much of a choice.

They're always Champion's League contenders and along with Barcelona are prob the most prestigious football club in the World. How would it be embarrassing to sign Pogba even if he wanted Madrid? De Gea wanted to move to Madrid, are you embarrassed that he's still playing for us?

Looks like Zidane has confirmed Pogba interest, dont think we will be able to sign him now.We should have closed the deal ages ago, same old Mr Woodward.

United fans can be so smalltime, afraid of shadows.

OK, not that it matters, but here's a few articles stating the contrary:

Indeed. There's no need to act like love-spurned teenagers about it. It frankly doesn't matter what his preference is, provided he's sufficiently motivated to play for us, and he very obviously will be. It would be a great signing.

What? It was reported ages ago that Zidane likes Pogba. That's never been in question. But it's Perez's opinion that matters and he's not prepared to spend so much money on him.

I said 'if true'. Besides, they brought Morata back because they thought they'd have mugs lining up to pay over the odds for him. They were wrong.
don't Jinx it, still plenty of time for Chelsea to be mugs

I have this ominous feeling that Paul Pogba wanted to have a rest after the Euros and went on holiday

If he really wanted to sign with us he would have foregone banging his wife/gf/bf (not privy to his personal life with the exception of his immense slag) in an exotic location and just signed up! Do not want, too expensive, hates Fergie, and just wants to shave Zidanes legs.

Eh? How is any of this Woodward's fault? For all we know, its Juventus and Pogba who've delayed signing any deal.
In case you are forgetting, the Euros have ended barely a week back. There was very little chance of Pogba agreeing to any deal while the Euros were on.
If Madrid have indeed come in at the proverbial last minute and swayed Pogba's head, then you could hardly lay any blame on the doorstep of the United negotiators. Its not like this has dragged on the entire summer with us not ready to part with a few more millions.
If Madrid are seriously interested in Pogba, it would be more likely that a deal with United is being held up at Pogba's end. Not that you can blame him, mind you.

50m plus James plus Morata
Is this actually remotely serious? Because Morata has already been sold back to Madrid, and if a deal like this was going to happen, it surely would have happened earlier in the window. Nothing has changed with regard to James since the window started.

I'm calling this rumor as a steaming heap of pure bollocks.

Terrible terrible post.

"the sky is falling" . what you think Zidane was gonna say... nah pogba is shite feck Juventus

You would be mad not to take that deal, just as Madrid would be crazy to offer it.
Madrid would never offer that, as they want 80m euros for James and Morata each. So that would be from their ideal POV worth 210m euros for Pogba. That's just laughable and makes no sense.

Can't even think off the top of my head a player exchange with 2 players going one way for another. They sound go on paper but don't tend to materialise.

:lol::lol: Wait... you were being facetious , weren't you ? :nervous:

Dont know why anyone is worried. This will be done by the end of the week.
Once we sign him, what do we do rest of the summer ?

How would Real use Morata as a makeshift for the deal having just bought him back?

Juve didn't sell him, Real activated the buy back clause. Still, like you say it would be stupid to activate that clause when they could have negotiated earlier.

I think they did activate his clause because a few teams were interested in getting him from Juventus. Madrid didnt want to lose him that way. They got him now and have options - use as make weight in the Pogba deal or sell to highest bidder and make a profit.
