Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I dont remember Amoyal ever stating that we've been in contact with juve? Only Pogba's reps. Still a waiting game then.

How many minutes, seconds, and hours does it need to prepare a bid? Maybe we are sending the bid by tractor.
Once Woodward's flight gets back from Australia and he wraps up his urgent transfer business it'll be straight on to Pogba.

Is it? His boss is di Marzio and he still said United have agreed personal terms with Pogba. Just that there has been no talks with Juve yet. But that's not to stop Juve briefing the fee they want and United briefing that they are willing to break the world record (even Madrid dropped out because of the info they got about how much we were willing to spend.)

Well possibly. But I guess right now I'm feeling it's more of it not so much being over but rather having never really got started in the first place.

This is now eerily reminiscent of the Sneijder, Vidal, Thiago threads where numerous quotes came out from clubs saying we hadn't made an approach yet caf ITKs convincing people it was a done deal.

Predictably it's all going the same way of the other big transfers that never happened. A lot of excitement followed by nothing and then scraps of information from nobodies on twitter. Around and around in circles we go.

Would be funny if this is just another Vidal saga. Lots of talk that there are talks and offers, at the end it was all bs and nothing concrete went on between the clubs and the player. A summer wasted with stressing and dreaming.

Woody is all fart and no poo when it comes to the marquees

Do people actually get stressed out over Pogba though? Or is that a silly question.

If he joins, great. If he doesn't, we will still buy a midfielder I reckon.

Either way, it really isn't the end of the world.

Can you guys flipping relax for one second. Wait for Pogs to get back from his holidays then the offer will be made and accepted. This has been formally done for a while now.

I absolutely despise the pessimistic attitude most have on this thread. It sucks the life out of everything.

What day does he get back from his holidays?

My Dad's friend works as a lawyer who does work for United on contracts. He is almost certainly in the know on various things at various times but never lets on to my Dad. My Dad's friend barely knows how to use the Internet let alone know what a "RedCafe" is.

There'll also definitely be non-disclosure agreements in place with all his work he does.

Jose may be in for a rude awakening after being used to having heavyweights like Abramovich, Perez and Kenyon who just get the job done.

I agree. Everyone flips out because of a Tweet by some bloke who even admits himself that the Prem League transfers are not his area of expertise.

It's like a school class room in here.

I'm with you both on embracing the fast approaching painful reality of the situation. I'm at the point of asking for predictions on which big name will fill the role of dashing all our transfer muppet dreams next summer? My bet's on Griezmann.

No one has time to relax and think things through just go ape shit at every tweet.

It's ridiculous.

We have a few Cafe members and Twitter ITKs saying it's done: @Acquire Me @Spoony

We have some Twitter ITKs saying no bid has been made.

We have some Twitter ITKs saying that we have made a bid and Juve rejected it and will keep him.

We have some ITKs saying they have no clue what is happening.

It's a waiting game. Just chill everyone, it will be ok.

According to Di Marzio we have agreement with Pogba. We know the price Juve want for pogba and I think we will make a bid when he is back from holiday. If pogba really wants to come and we are willing to pay the asking price we will sign him, simples.

Starting to believe the info a while back we've got a 20-30% chance. I'd assume Raiola is ready to go but Juve and Pogba need convincing and Pogba is open to moving.

I'm sure Juve can make a good case for him staying. Not only are Juve a top club, keeping Pogba can help them on and off the pitch for another season or two. They've also been to a CL final recently and last season they played excellent against Bayern in the last 16 and collapsed when they took Morata off with ~20 mins to go. Upping his wages and bringing in a few more players could make Pogba feel like staying and signing an extension so Madrid have to pay when they're ready.

I'm pretty sure Mourinho wants a quick yes or no.

That's something people forget. We wouldn't be haggling so we'd probably know the price. I've no doubt we're smart enough to look at all options but there isn't really any rush. Even if we put a bid in today and it get's accepted, we still have to wait. If we put the bid in or a bid in, Juve can't take a week or so thinking about it and they would want to talk to the player anyway to offer an extention. Things can only move once Pogbas back. Once he's back then things can move forward but what would be the point of us talking to Juve now? If they have a price, we'll probably meet it once we know we've got the player. So it's no shock. No drama. Pogba is in the wrong country for things to get moving. So again people need patience.

If we put an offer in (or admitted to one), what are Juventus going to do? They're not going to say they have an offer and are waiting to speak to the player. Their stance is they want to extend his contract. Unless we start moving for someone else, then this is going to take awhile.

Instead of giving credits to pretend ITK just read and understand what serious journos said, Lequipe thinks that there has been informal discussions between Woodward and Juve at Monaco those discussions will never be confirmed because they are informal, Di Marzio says that Juventus claim that no one talked to them which is normal since everyone agree on the fact that there has been no formal discussions.

From what I understand when a club is interested in a player, they discuss in hypothetical terms with the representatives of the player and its club and they only actually negotiate when they know what the other part wants. We are still in the hypothetical part, "If a club wanted Pogba what would you ask for?".

The transfer is over, until its done. (It wont happen until it happens).

Thats how I'm feeling now.

Sorry. But is it the end of next week that he's supposedly back from holiday? Pogba I mean.

Spoony is a WUM, don't know about the others. But yeah, we just have to wait until we hear something more concrete from someone credible. And as stated many times that probably won't happen at least until Pogba is back from his holidays.

Spoony being a WUM leads me to the question: Is it okay to be a WUM as long as it's on-topic? :smirk: @Raoul

I am sure this @Spoony guy isn't a WUM as surely it's not tolerated in threads like this?

He has said that he is pretty sure Pogba will be a Man Utd player again.

Don't get me wrong, sooner is better than later, but he wont be able to play for us until after the tour is done anyway, so there's no imminent rush. As PdB says, could be 10 days or so before things get tied up. You're just going to have to be patient.
