Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Agree. I'm not sure either. I think rather than the barometer be looking through the window of the euro's, they should look beyond that. After all, just based on the Euros you'd wonder what this lad Kane was about, and Martial couldn't get on the pitch in front of a bloke who plays in the Mexico league......yet we know cause we see them weekly that they are superb young players.

Best comment I have seen. Jose wants a box to box midfielder and Pogba is the best player available and at the perfect age. People keeping quoting players like Kante or Koke, they are completely different players. We all know £100m is too much for him, you would want the finished article at that price. But this isn't just about the player. This about making a statement of intent and showing the rest of league we are going for it this season. I would say the transfer budget would of been £150-200m. With the three signings we have already brings the spend to nearly £60m. Why not blow the rest on a player we need and will 10% improve our squad?

If Real Madrid was paying £100m for him I doubt there would be this much criticism for how much they were spending, it would be paraded as the first £100m player. Because it's Manchester United with no champions league football we are wasting our money. Let's waste our money because it will simply line the pockets of the Glazers anyway.

Not sure Pobga is a box to box player, tbh, not the sort to spend 90+ minutes pounding up and down the pitch.

If we're gonna spend £100m we should use £96.25m of it to build a time machine and the other £3.75m to sign Roy Keane aged 22.

Great plan lets also pick up Scholesey while we're there.

This stinks of bargaining for a bumper contract at Juve suddenly. When Madrid were interested the door was open, suddenly it's "Juve want him to renew". I suspect he's seen that Madrid are looking elsewhere and now he'll use us to force Juve into a fat deal until Madrid (or similar) come calling next summer.

Hopefully we won't wall for this, and will quickly turn to other targets.

No far enough, but maybe Niguez, Alli, Kroos, Koke, Neves, and Alcantara do, and for me we could buy them cheaper than Pogba, and most could well be better.

If most would be better, now that the 100 million figure has been thrown out there...in what world would they come to Manchester cheaper? Seriously. They know Manchester has the money and EVERYONE tries to dick rainy, high expectation Manchester in the ars.

Where's the idea coming from that Juve wanting him to stay is a new development? That's been the case since the start.

If they are fecking around we should just drop it and move on. If Pogba doesn't want to leave Juve then leave him there. The last thing we need is a player who doesn't want to be here. I feel like Madrid was the aim but they called the greedy fecker Raiolas bluff.

Suspiciously these quotes are similair to Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic. Let's hope for the same outcome.

For a lot of United fans (and opposition fans) on here the Euros will be one of the only times they've watched him over a full 90 minutes.

It's pretty obvious when you hear some of the garbage they come out with - sideways/backwards passer; doesn't do enough in matches; looks disinterested; doesn't have fight.

Anyone who's even half paid attention to his career knows that stuff is a steaming load of shite. But it's very easy to roll out after watching a couple of games for France and suddenly being a Pogba expert.
the idiot pundits that don't even know Chelsea aren't in Champions league and Slag off his euro final performance also don't help the uninformed either.

Would be the worst one yet seeing as we've just signed 2 of Raiola's players.

Indeed. Doesn't really make sense when Raiola has sorted us with two of his biggest clients to turn around and screw us over for Pogba.

Players are also much less likely to feck Mourinho around than they were LvG or Moyes. You never know where he might pop up in the future - he'll more than likely manage most of the top players in the world one way or another over his career. And he knows how to hold to grudge.

If this doesn't happen it's simply because the deal was never as advanced as the press claimed and Pogba is more content at Juve than most realised.

Raiola is such a WUM

Very similar quotes to what he said regarding Ibra a while back.

I hope this gets resolved this week.

If we don't get him then we need to focus on players like Kante.

Apparently Chelsea are in for Kante now according to many sources tonight.

He would cost what, £30m? £40m tops?

We're either being used, or Juve have had a word in Raiola's ear.

Seems like he is getting the best deal possible either way.

Also Juve have gone from 4/1 to 5/6. Now odds mean feck all but probably represents the general feeling, being literally 50:50.

Nah, I'm really not. You've obviously got a life so haven't seen this argument being played out a few times in this thread. Fwiw I agree with you, he's not worth anything like the figures quoted. Then again, it's not my money. Or something.

Like you I don't care about the money, it's no business of mine, and if truth be told I'd quite like Pogba here, but if Pogba doesn't fancy it, or Juve don't want sell then fair enough, no harm done, we just sign someone else. My point was that contrary to popular opinion there are other midfielders out there.

Anyway Jose won't arse about like the past two jokers did, so we'll know soon enough.

Mino Raiola is just using one of the oldest tricks in book. Put insecurity into the buyer. I'm almos sure all the figures are already negotiated, now it's all about media politics and timing.

I want Pogba! But he's not the only one who fits the bill.

If the deal collapse then so be it, Mourinho will find new player to buy. With our spending power, the wages we can offer, then there will be plenty of other quality players who wants to join us.

This is probabaly done by the end of the week so at this stage is no need to worry.

Yep. And that's where the small matter of our 120m bid comes in.

I'm surprised everyone is freaking out so quickly, surely most have the sense to realise that there are plenty of twists and turns yet. It was never going to be Monday, done.

Because he has come out and said he wants to play for one of Barca or Madrid? And why is this a criteria? Has every United player so far been "loyal"?

Not every player has ran down his contract & left United! Usually they are gotten rid of, rather than choosing to leave.
I prefer players coming here to believe they're playing for the best club in the world. Would you prefer players who'd want to use us as a stepping stone?
I know not many contracted players come out & state which clubs they want to join, are you expecting that?
