Best comment I have seen. Jose wants a box to box midfielder and Pogba is the best player available and at the perfect age. People keeping quoting players like Kante or Koke, they are completely different players. We all know £100m is too much for him, you would want the finished article at that price. But this isn't just about the player. This about making a statement of intent and showing the rest of league we are going for it this season. I would say the transfer budget would of been £150-200m. With the three signings we have already brings the spend to nearly £60m. Why not blow the rest on a player we need and will 10% improve our squad?
If Real Madrid was paying £100m for him I doubt there would be this much criticism for how much they were spending, it would be paraded as the first £100m player. Players are also much less likely to feck Mourinho around than they were LvG or Moyes. You never know where he might pop up in the future - he'll more than likely manage most of the top players in the world one way or another over his career. And he knows how to hold to grudge.
If this doesn't happen it's simply because the deal was never as advanced as the press claimed and Pogba is more content at Juve than most realised.
