How some people on here call Juventus a small team is beyond me. Right now, in this moment and from a footballing perspective, they've got more to offer. Winning titles left, right and center in Italy, having a really strong team and the could have a go at the Champions League. They reached the finals two years ago and went out unlucky against Bayern last year, after giving them a real fight. Furthermore, they gave him his chance to play regular first team football at a high level and he became the player he now is at Juventus.

Not forcing a move is respectful and not really common nowadays. I love that kind of attitude, even though I would like to see him here. Nothing decided yet, but if Juventus refuse to sell, I don't see him making a fuss.

Again the same shit line about RM, this cnut has learnt it by his heart, what a fecking travesty of a human being.
I don't think he came across too badly there, if you're talking about Ballbag. He basically said everyone knows English clubs need to overpay because they're so rich, and that even Madrid and Barca can't compete financially with English clubs right now. He also said 100m wasn't a lot for us.

He also seemed absolutely positive Pogba would go to United.

Are you 10?
No.

I wasn't saying that Juventus are a small club. Just saying that 32 league titles doesn't mean everything. We are a huge club, Juventus are a big club.

But the modern day player, the very best, never chooses to play in Serie A anymore. It's 2016, not the 90s.

Some great stuff here today. A guy who never heard of Gazetto dello sport and a guy who is calling Juve a small club. Topping it by the guy who compares Basel and Juventus.

The guy who never heard of Gazetta dello sport is profusely thanking the other two.

Wouldn't agree with that at all. Who is he in front out of Neymar, Messi, Suarez, Ronaldo, Busquets, Modric, Muller, Iniesta, Neuer, Lewandowski, Aguero?
After Ronaldo (in your list), I'd have him before any of the players you mentioned. Easy. Maybe not Neuer if one had a bad keeper.
I think there's a lot of bias against him because he plays for Madrid. Just imagine the reviews he would get here if he was a Premiership player, or even better, linked to us.

Anyway, that beside the point in this thread so it's the last I will discuss of it.

That's fair and to be honest we don't know how many of the 32 are legit ;) kidding Juve fans.

Oi I can guarentee if you asked everyone in your street what that paper is they would say they wouldn't know.

No. Very much no.

I think Rooney's wage is before taxes. Never read anything that suggests it is after taxes. If so, then that is above Ronaldo/Messi, right?

Typically in England the salaries are reported before taxes, while in Italy after taxes. Which make Pogba's numbers look low (like Darmian), despite that it is near twice as high.

I think that if we get Pogba, he will get at least 200k/week pounds before taxes.

Aye, I may be wrong. I've seen this number hover around lately and Forbes putting him on 20m net yearly salary but nothing official of course.

Has Balague recently said (as in last few hours) that Pogba is coming?

I can't find anything apart from his Saturday quotes.

I'd like Pogba here but for £100m it won't be the end of the world if he doesn't come. I'd rather see that money going towards Veratti and Griezmann!

Can't see much wrong with what anyone said in that video...
the bald guy said Chelsea are in the champions league... That's kind of a wrong statement. they aren't even in bloody Europe for fecks sake.... and nobody in that studio corrected him

Pogba is a fool if he accepts to stay at Juve. Lack of ambition staying at a small club in italy.

Erm...white text? Sarcasm? Not sure.
Are you aware of Juve's history and their current standing? When Fergie was fighting for his first CL title, the best team in the World, at the time was .... Juventus, always making the SF stages of the CL.

At present, we have more money and greater marketing power (lots of sponsors).
On the pitch, we are a 5th place, EL team - this is a fact.
On the pitch, Juve are where we hope to be (which was exactly the case in 1998)...fingers crossed.

FC Basel have loads of titles. So do Celtic. Means nothing in a country where there is only one good team in the league.

Serie A is shite. Everyone knows that.

So, we should disregard all the league titles won by United in 90s as it was shit league compared to Serie A, La Liga?

Thanks for clearing this up.

Just thinking about the money thing. Sure 100m is a lot of money and probably too much for Pogba. But just like with houses, a player is worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Mourinho knows exactly what he wants and Pogba clearly fits the bill perfectly.

So the 100m is there to be spent, we shouldn't worry about that. We fund the club with TV money (no cancelling sky comments please, it's still very raw), sponsorship, shirt sales and all the rest.

So the only question is could the 100m be better spent on more players? Not in my opinion,
  • I trust Mourinho. He has already brought in some great players and if he needs more he will buy more.
  • Youth. An overinflated squad will halt the development of some very promising young players.
  • We actually have pretty good cover in every position. Say we bought 3 x 33m players. In this crazy market we would struggle to get 3 players better than what we have in most positions.
That's my 2 cents anyway.

Neither of which are an option.

We could play Felliani though

Balague: "He is going to Manchester United."

They're talking as if he's already joined us.

Also that bald bloke said Chelsea are in the champions league. Not much of a sports journalist is he?

To get Verratti, you're talking about much greater money than Pogba. PSG don't need to sell, they're rich unlike Juventus.

Juventus are a very big club.

However, we are bigger.

Haven't Juventus just won 5 leagues in a row? There is no competition, it's a weak league.

I should have phrased my post better, apologies.

I see. I can see the reasoning behind comparing Bale to Pogba in regards to the fee. At the time it was wildly discussed and I don't think Bale has lived to it as well which makes it understandable people to be obsessed with it.

Much like Bale if we get Pogba he'll be under the microscope every game and having in mind he's still a bit inconsistent there will be lot of unsatisfied lads.

The most reliable source of information in this thread is the Juve fan who posted to inform everyone that they're believing in a load of bollocks.

He isn't going anywhere and if he was it probably wouldn't be to United.

What did the Juve fan say? None of us know what will happen, it's just opinions and debate at this moment in time.
