Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I too am past the point of no return, and I'm at my most doubtful right now. :(

I love how some people seem to think they know what his first and second choice preferences are.

The actual facts are:

- He has said he loves the club and Manchester, and has many friends here.

- His wages will skyrocket with us.

- His Dad has said they are looking to join a better league.

Yes, Real are an attractive option right now, particularly as they have an excellent squad.

However, the PL is the most prestigous league. He has friends here.

We will likely offer him more money than Real as we need him more.

That may seal the deal.

If one half of the Spanish mafia is involved, this time Madrid, we simply wont get him. I can only see us getting a clear run if they arent bidding. Part of me wants us to go for Kante and Matuidi
We just need to get the Spanish government to not fund this.

I did actually say I would like to see Pogba come. We could get better players for cheaper and would improve the team more than Pogba. This is setting a dangerous precedent for our future transfers too.

OK...who do you KNOW that we can get that's better and cheaper. I'm talking who can we definitively bring in that won't dic us like Renato Sanchez did (it was his right to do so)?

How many players in this day and age are saying "Man, I want to spend the next 3 years in Manchester...they have a great history...history...history..."

Pogba's agent, Mick's agent, Ibra's agent...all the same guy. And he's probably drooling all over Manchester United right now.

Who are these players you're proposing the Reds spend their money on, and why would those players choose Manchester over any of the other 4 premier league teams playing in the Champions League this upcoming season?

Who? Not a dig, but a few have said this but I haven't seen one viable name yet that is in the class as Pogba.

Let's not forget Raiola is on our corner on this. He will be trying his best to get him here, I am sure of that.

I don't think its going to be a quick settle on this though, Madrid will drag it out and sell players to get the funds together. Could go all summer.

You know that's not the main reason, regardless of it being an extremely valid one.

No CL.
Real Madrid a far more attractive destination for 99% of players, always have been, and unfortunately probably always will be.
Their squad is light years ahead of ours in terms of ability.

I don't know how Matuidi will improve the united midfield, he will add to the scrap heap of our average engine room, I look at our options it is average, carrick, bastian, morgan, I look at fellaini, herrera and mata who are no10's, even signing pogba I think united need another, as carrick and bastian for me should both have left

Why would Madrid need to drag it out or sell players to get funds together? They aren't in financial difficulty. They could bid for him now if they wanted.

Hope to god it is but you know what Real madrids president is like, he has to have a shiny new galactico toy every transfer window and I think it'll be pogba again

Yeah I'll be happy with either too would prefer pogba obviously but matuidi is more than satisfying but I'm struggling to see it tbh. It'd be an amazing signing if we could get pogba though
Yeah. It would be amazing if Pogba came.

I dont consider him average. I dont consider Morgan or Kante average either. Im just considering options because basically Pogba as it stands is still a reach.

Yeah, Ballagues is basically Real's mouthpiece in the UK so they are constantly using him to spin any story to suit Real's agenda.

His reporting is hit and miss, but mostly just bias to Real.

Not sure about that, he's always fairly transparent about how good Barca is, and how much Messi is evolving versus Ronaldo struggling.

If he was RM mouthpiece would he be saying that? he works for Sky.

They are in quite a bit of debt. Not being funded by the Spanish capital as they once were either, they won't be able to splash 100M as easy peasy as we can.

Pogba is not worth 100M, because he tends to disappear from the games too often. Plus playing at Juve in the Italian league is similar to playing with PSG in the French, does a bad month or two, impact their title chances? Obviously not. It's a marquee signing like Di Maria was.

? Jose said 4 key signings. If after signing Pogba we go in for Matuidi all the better.
He didn't say that would be the end. He just said 4 key positions then he could relax. Then the market will be open and see what happens.

The climate may also have an effect on Pogba's choice. I know where I'd rather be right at this moment, wet and cold here right now and it's July ffs.

This thread has the potential to be one of the greats, but I feel this transfer will be settled in the next couple of weeks.

Mourinho's too efficient with his signings to let this one drag on. I think if this isn't wrapped up in the next couple weeks, we will go for our backup target.

An interesting scenario though is if Real get Pogba, then surely that would mean an exit for one of their midfielders - possibly Kroos?

Did he say signings or 4 key positions?i'm sure he said positions which doesn't necessarily mean we will be keeping it to just 4 signings.(Correct me if i'm wrong).

But Di Maria wasn't a bad signing, he just didn't match up with the awful football we were playing. Sign him under Jose and it would be a totally different story.

He is your typical if united were after him, he is the player we want, more than the player we need. A classic case of quantity over quality, there is the saying you get what you pay for, and fellaini, bastian, are your classic cases of not what we needed, same will apply with Matuidi

This is a case of getting it over the line before Real Madrid sell players?

By Real's mouthpiece, I mean Ballague is drip fed what Real want put out.

I've been listening to him for nearly 15 years. Spin in favour of Real and to a lesser extent Barca is all he's good for.

Amazing that 22% of people wouldn't want Pogba, thats just incredible to me. I'm guessing they are the same people who didn't want us to sign Bale last season because hes 'overrated'. Get your heads out of the clouds, if we have a chance to get Pogba it should be our top priority and an absolute no brainer at any price. Anyone suggesting we sign Matuidi and Kante instead should be banned from watching football, not even remotely similar players and a million miles away from Pogba as a player.

I have to disagree, he plays in two top sides and is a strong box to box player. I wouldnt put him in same category as BFS or Morgan. A French midfield of Kante, Morgan and Matuidi would be very solid.

...and have zero flair and creativity, which is exactly what we lacked last season and since fergie left.

Funny to see that guys on the Juventuz forum see their club as bigger than ours. We piss on clubs like Juventus tbf.

Edit: Oh how easy it was to get on their forum

Maybe we think spending 100 million on the likes of kante, mahrez and payet would represent better value instead?

I am very aware of how Di Maria plays. He would never make it in United. The Premier League is not for him, and he's not good enough to be the main moderfecker. I feel Pogba will be the same, he will do fine, but it's not good enough to lead United to titles. Granted, very few are. I personally believe, the best bet is Bale.

Be prepared to bow down to Madrid etc forever more then so.
This is the forum that claimed it was embarassing that we didnt seek out Madrid last summer to sell them DDG...
