Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

No

This is the correct situation. Unless if Juve dont want him anymore, there is no reason Pogba should leave Juve.

I can see us going for another target very soon as this one looks unlikely at the moment

He suggested Juve would only sell if they receive an offer they can't refuse. A 100m offer for Pogba would obviously fall into such a category.

So who is the back up player if Pogba is a no go?
From the press i've heard Mtwuidi(spelling) or Tiémoué Bakayoko(only seen recent reports dont know much about)

I'm wondering if this is why we were trying to slow the Ranato Sanchez deal?

I wonder why we didn't have some 'buy back fee/first choice' clause when we let him go there for nothing. Its annoying actually.
I think he left on a free after running down his contract (I think). But yeah, inserting buy back clauses like Real/Barca do is something we could start using a bit better, especially with the amount of talented youngsters on our books and the (perceived) poor loans we've done over recent years.

Some good banter so far.

We need to bring back the Torino fan last year who talked about darmian and ended his post in a feck Juve

Yes i would like to see him here .But for £100 mil after the way he left for Juve. No thanks.

I don't understand? Are you saying the transfer will go ahead regardless?

Means the transfer will take a while.....we'll have to offer a few 40M, 60M, 80M bids before going all in with the 100

If Juventus dont want the £100 million, maybe we can give it to PSG for Marco.

So many on here unable to love again after getting dumped by a bird who just wanted to be treated better, now we're back to show her we've changed and this time things will be different.

Don't get me wrong I would love to have Pogba here but he really isn't one of the world's elite players, not yet anyways, nowhere near the 100m value. I think being in a bidding war with the cnuts Madrid has really inflated the price,it's madness.

Yes but he isnt the finished article. We are paying for his potential and his overall package - like marketing and attracting players in the future.

Is Pogba this year's vidal? Or is it actually on (like Vidal was)?

Tbh, not many of the so-called reliable sources claimed Vidal to us. Even DiMarzio was surprisingly quiet considering a lot of Italian newspapers ran with the story at times. He only said something generic like "United are interested blah blah blah" to not lose any United supporting muppets as followers.

As for a saga, nothing can match the Vidal one. Where's the fun in watching the well-known journalists and channels actually saying this might happen? Feck that, I prefer 3AM bonfire sessions watching Chilevision and translating different local papers using Google than seeing "Sky Sources" pop up of all over Twitter. Also responding with "SIGN POGBA" doesn't have the same schwung as "VIDAL VIDAL VIDAL" had under ever official Twitter update the club made during that summer.

Also the big stumbling block has probably never been agreeing terms with the player (as we seem to you just hand a carte blanche cheque to every man and his dog at the moment) so don't see this as very big news. Pogba will probably never force a move (as he genuinely seems to like it there) so hopefully Juventus will reject all of our approaches. Spending £100m on a not-certified gamechanger? Fecking hell. If Mourinho and the club view him as the final jigsaw in our puzzle, then we're not as far away as we might think. He's a very good player, but he's not that good. Also, whilst it's not my money, the thought of signing a former academy player who rejected the chance to stay for a a world record fee leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

But if you look at all the WR signings they were already on top or there abouts, I've been watching Pogba a lot lately he still has a lot of room for improvement.

I could be wrong, but has Marcotti ever been reliable on anything transfer related he's said? I can't remember him ever being reliable so probably not worthy of a thread mark. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I disagree. Thiago basically confirmed he is coming with his signature on that football. OH the cafe meltdown after that was unreal. Then the likes of Sneidjer, who we practically had signed for almost a month only to not sign him after that and Fabregas, who we made three separate offers and by the time we made the 4th offer, he was signed and delivered to Chelsea. All terrible yet fun sagas.

Regardless of the cost ( for which we have to factor in either longevity or resale) if we get this done quickly it would be a berry, berry shrew summer of business for us.

Yes but he is only turned 23 two months ago. He will be world class soon enough. You cant blame a player for not being world class at 23.

I would be pleasantly surprised if we weren't being used as a stalking horse for Madrid.

Yeah, agree. Was planning on including the Thiago one. The others weren't as much fun as Vidal and Thiago.

That's the reason it's madness to pay a WR fee for him, Juve are laughing all the way to the bank, and they've got a better player in Pjanic as a replacement.

But you don't have to pretend that he is world class just because he is 23. It's not aimed at you, just a thought.

I dont think you understand my point. Pjanic aint world class by any stretch of the imagination and by the time Pogba is done with his career, he will be well and truly better than Pjanic - he would have blown him out of the water. Thats how good Pogba can get. In terms of marketing, which is such a huge deal today, Pogba is 3rd behind Cristiano and Messi for adidas. Pjanic will never be as marketable as Pogba. We can get another proper decade out of Pogba.

Locations of Juventuz posters on the last couple of pages of the Pogba thread: Copenhagen, Albania, Texas, Antwerp, Bavaria, MANCHESTER etc.

They sure burned us.

Yes I want him for whatever the figure may be. But if he then decides he wants to join Real/Barca, I want us to double the price.

Wouldn't he be given a 4/5 year contract anyway, with a unilateral option to extend?

Oh, let's make this happen.

He will feck off to Madrid or Barca when their finances are sorted in a few years. The rumours are his preference is Madrid but they don't want to fork out a WR fee. He won't be here for a decade and there's no guarantee he will be world class in the future. And feck marketing United is and will be one of top marketed clubs whether Pogba comes or not, it's about signing the best player to improve the team.
