Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I like to muppetise as much as the next muppet but I will be firmly grounded until I see him wearing the Man Utd shirt (again).

Can someone add a poll to the thread?, i'm interested in seeing what the general concensous is on whether fans think we will get him. I have a feeling the result would be low and its mostly us muppets thinking it will happen (although i don't think it will happen).

You get a poll or a tag line, you decide...

He may go Madrid, United or stay at Juve.... either way when all is said and done this will be the muppet thread to rule them all!

Not only are we chasing a shiny cm again, this time we are threatning to smash the world record to get him... a delightful new wrinkle to the Cesc, Sneijder, Vidal formula

If it is £80m I'd imagine it will be like £60m + bonuses.

I personally do not object to the fee for a change. This will be a huge signal of intent which even our biggest naysayers will have to admit puts us back on the map for CL (next year that is..).

Followed by every major journo including henry winter, james ducker,Daniel taylor, Ben smith, Oliver kay, Bill rice(BBC manchester), Samuel luckhurst.

So POGBOOOM ON!!!! or maybe he is just wumming :(, doesnt look a wum account to me.

He's one of the worst around.

Yeah my spelling was bad. I do have slight dyslexia passed down from my dumbass dad, i have mentioned it on here before. Its why a lot of my posts are edited lol.

Whats with the juve twitter title?
Been countless posts in the thread about him not following Juve on twitter which is annoying so originally had title as "Never followed Juve on twitter or had Juve in bio to begin with" but that changed since it turns out he now follows them, so yeah. This thread sucks.

Him following Juve only begs the question why wasn't he following Juve before? I recall that he was following them last year, so, it might be that his unfollowing of them be related to something akin to petulance on his part for them not being reasonable to a move away. This would possibly explain why suddenly he is following them, since they might have conceded his requests to move to another league....

As far as I know, he never actually followed us on twitter before but only on Instagram.

hth.

I wonder if it was Pogba who got sick of it or if Juve's PR team told him to fix it.

So we're thinking about paying a record fee for a player who will only think about joining us if his first choice can't afford him? This worked out well last time we broke our transfer record for a player that wasn't arsed either didn't it.

Rather we gave Madrid £70 million towards the Pogba fund, and got Kroos and Varane instead personally.

You can't compare Pogba coming to Utd to Di Maria transfer here, unless you've got an agenda. They're so totally different circumstances. Pogba has roots in this country, in Manchester, it was his home at an important age, he's got a love for the place, it's something he's happily made clear.

Because Kroos would kill for a chance in this team, right? Madrid wouldn't sell them, either.

Pogba is far more likely to want to join us than Kroos is, and yet many seem to think buying the latter is as simple as placing a bid and he'll be ours.

Feck that are some great odds for him to stay. Unluckily (or luckily) I never bet but this is tempting.
Mata 6/1 to stay at United and Pogba 3/1, nice double. Hope Woody has seen this and has put a few quid on both to stay. Recoup the money on Mata somehow and then buy Pogba next year.

If United sign him I'll be shitting it for next season. Shaw to come back into the team as well. Fecking Klopp needs to spend some more dough.

Yep. John Richardson insisted that we were sticking with Van Gaal on radio phone-ins and Sky's Sunday Supplement programme. Then we hired Mourinho.

Also, he looks like an old, northern English version of Sami Nasri.

Would love to sign him he's what we have needed for a long time. Would be my dream signing that is in any way realistic. Get the feeling he wants Madrid though. I don't believe the talk of Madrid not being able to afford him I just doubt they are willing to pay the same amount as we are. Fingers crossed Ed gets it done!

De Gea

Darmian Smalling Bailly Shaw

Schneiderlin Schweinsteiger
Pogba

Mkhik Zlatan Martial
Debatable midfield, but the rest is moutherwatering.

In the spirit of other transfer threads, I'll get the wage discussion going

I can't believe we are going to pay him 500k a week.

Yeah! A lot of money for someone who was 16 years old in 2010 :nono:

Media now reporting that he wants madrid move. Honestly we shouln't even go for him if he doesn't want to come here. It will just leave us heartbroken next year when he forces a move to spain at half the price.

What media?

If Real Madrid and us are after him then footballing wise let's be honest there is one logical choice currently. Would anyone blame him? I wouldn't personally.

The difference with di maria was that Madrid didn't want him and were forcing him out the door. Juve don't want to sell so if Madrid or whoever else don't come in for him he doesn't have to leave. He would only come here if he wanted to.

In a 4231 how would Pogba fair as the 10 given a free role to fully express himself?

For e.g

Ibrahimovic
Martial - Pogba - Mkhitaryan
Rooney - Schneiderlin
Shaw - Bailly - Smalling - Fosu
Dave
Rooney will start, get over it.

Can any of the Pogba watchers answer?

Can't see how you would fit Benzema, Ronaldo, Bale, Pogba, Kroos, Modric into the same team or drop any of them without them becoming unhappy. You need a defensive player like Casemiro in there surely
