His last bit of action at United was feigning injury against Liverpool as he didn't fancy it
Glad it's over. It felt like he was just being shoehorned into the side most of the time, we never found a proper position for him and he never proved it was worth building a team around with him.

Wonder who the new whipping boy will be next season?

And he was injured for about two season worth of games.Team let him down some years, and there were years he let the team down.
Excuse me?!
LingardLingard. Rashford.

How is that even justified?
Scored in our last two trophy wins finals. Cost us nothing.Thats
Rashford could argue has been a similar level in terms of good and bad performances over the 5 years. But lingard I'm assuming that's an ironic comment.

Yeah it's weird. They are still at it this morning, encouraging people to read both players' "emotional" farewell messages. The social media team repeatedly posting about him and Lingard leaving, as if they were gods among men, is really grating.
Good riddence. But I do wish we had signed a Kante, Fabinho type player in all these 6 years to accompany him in the midfield. 6 wasted years. Unimaginable at any other club half decent decision makers.

It’s certainly interesting that the announcements were made a month before their contracts are up.Funny how the culling stopped yesterday after these two. Hopefully ETH wanted rid as soon as possible to bring some harmony back to the dressing room and weaken the influence of the stirrers still left behind.

United effectively paid out the equivalent of £800,000 for each of his 226 appearances and tangible returns — the trophies and collective progress — have been negligible.
Bargain
And I dont disagree that it was disappointing overall on the pitch but I disagree that just because it didn't end as both parties wanted he should he should be blanked thats it. By all accounts he was a well valued and respected figure in the club, still won a couple of trophies here even if minor ones etc .There are logical reasons for getting a sending off which is the point I was initially making, not just a positive PR spin.I'm in no position to demand anything. Just expressed my feelings that's all. I have long realized and accepted that there is a clear disconnect between the fanbase and the club tbh. They can do whatever the feck they want, I will always express my distate for it.
10 years at the club, twice leaving on free, openly disrespecting the club, not even once doing a self review of his own shortcomings. There is little to celebrate tbh, I appreciate the rare good moments but overall it's been disappointing
