Paul Pogba - Juventus player | ban reduced - able to play competitively from March 2025

I still don't think it's a coincidence that our dressing room morale seems so much better after Pogba, Lingard and Ronaldo all went.

Talking about hype specifically here
Yea that came when he was the young star of a well drilled multiple title winning outfit playing alongside players such as Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal (the latter two doing the hard graft) allowing Pogba to make a name for himself scoring long rangers, and not being required to learn the discipline of a CM. My point being his ‘hype’ was a lot greater than the reality.

But the reality of that time period is he was easily one of the best in the world at what he was in that team to do, which wasn’t play CM in the strictest form you’re referring to. Anyone purchasing him and attempting to modify his game would then be the ones in the wrong, or at least removing him from the trajectory that earned him all the plaudits and elevated status in the first place.

That’s the folly and gamble of poor scouting and ill-thought out recruitment, not the player, no matter who it is.

What a blessing it was finally getting rid of him. I regret that he ever played for United and will remember him as one of the few players who embodied the worst of the post Ferguson decade

Mirrors what I used to say to my mates when he was here. The day we get rid of him is the day we start to fix ourselves as a club.

Still can’t get over that the club offered him an extension - imagine being stuck with the overrated crock for the next 3/4 years.

I presume the offer was back when we were under Woodward?
I suspect it would be the glazers calling that. Purely for marketing

“My thought process it to show Manchester United that they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract”.

One of the most overrated player ever.

Still boggles my mind we kept him so long.

I actually think ever since 2018/19 season Pogba became more consistent for us when he was available to play but still I never think about him these days, it's like he left 5 years ago. He was never that vital that we would feel his absence to great extent.

His injury problems was a huge issue, he started just 44% of league games in last 3 seasons. If we include this season then his record would be horrible.

I think out of 6 season, his availability was good in 2 seasons, terrible in 3 and okayish in one.

Personally I think we should all be thankful to him that he didn't sign that contract we offered to him.

Thank pog he's not our problem anymore.

Ten Hag would've hated the lazy waster. Thank feck he left. Its nice to have players at United now who look like they're here to win instead of worrying about their next haircut

Can you imagine Casemiro and Martinez having to put up with his crap? Losing balls in our own half, not tracking runners, doing generally lazy ass Pogba shit.

Luckily for PP and us we’d never find out.

What sums up Paul Pogba is that time he took so long slowly running up to take a penalty that our own fans all started booing him. Guy just lives in his own little world. He started off his career by deciding he knew better than Sir Alex Ferguson which isnt a great omen for self awareness.

I also genuinely think he'd have been a better player for United if we didn't have so many stupid fans who'd claim it was the manager or his team mates fault that he kept losing the ball doing youtube skills just outside his own penalty area. If people didn't keep making him think that's what made him great, maybe he'd have wised up.

I almost feel sorry for ragnick, he took over a team that both him and ronaldo stinking up the place, one of them is bad enough but both...

It is slightly terrifying that, despite everything, the club still offered him an extension on huge wages. Thank feck he didn’t accept it.

The only ones proven wrong by his injury issue since he left are the ones who convinced themselves he was 'faking' injuries here as a means to down tools. There were quite a few on here too.

I've seen Eriksen do all that to be honest, luckily we're a better team now

I almost feel sorry for Rangnick, he took over a team that both him and ronaldo stinking up the place, one of them is bad enough but both...
"In January of last year, Bild reported that Rangnick identified Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial as ‘mood killers’ within the squad. The Austrian was determined to sell the trio, feeling they had too much influence behind the scenes."

Ralf has a great PR, he really does.

Never liked Juve, but despise them to have Pogba in their team.

I hope they get relegated again and this guy finishes in the US or Saudi for the rest of his career.

Yeah, terrible injury record. The fact it's February and he still hasn't had his 2nd debut at Juve is telling as well.

He's just a rich man's Jesse Lingard. Was always more interested in being a social media influencer than a footballer.

Scary that we actually offered him a new contract, imagine if he'd accepted and we'd be stuck with him for good.

Pogba showing United why they took so long to offer him a deal. He has got a point tbh, he has shown the fans why the club was right in not offering him the crazy wage he wanted.

I am so glad we got rid of him, his talent was always bigger than him. He should have worked on becoming the best player, rather than thinking he is entitled to things.

In other news, Ralf pointed out that water is wet.
