How can a player be playing so well and look clear to win you the match. Yet the team spends the last 20 minutes of the game not giving him the ball? Easily our best player

We lose that without him.

Despite his flaws also still our best man for the midfield two because the others are awful at it

Thing with playing him on the left side is though we basically had no threat whatsoever on the left flank especially when Shaw played like today.

But, people who keep arguing that his long passing is better than Scholes's. Well...

Tried to drag the team to a win but the others were clearly not interested.

Head and shoulders above everyone else today. If we had a forward in any kind of touch in the number 9 role we would have had 3 or 4 and been well safe but Martial shat the bed and Greenwood does not yet make the right runs in the middle, still has a little bit too much of a wide attacker mentality.

Easily our best player today. Slowly people might realise what we are losing if he doesn’t renew.

We lose that game comfortably without him today. Was the only one getting us going, putting passes together and creating.

Wondering at what point the narrative will shift away from ‘We never see this level of performance consistently from Pogba’ towards something like ‘We’re only now seeing this level of consistent performance because he’s playing for a new contract elsewhere’. Probably by the West Ham game.

Comfortably our best player again.

Can hold his head up high today. Carried us.

Our best player today. Only outfield player that can hold his head up high after today's performance.

If we had this Pogba all season we'd be flying. That is, if we get a proper DM alongside him and not fecking Fred.

Agree with your post and the bolded has been a concern of mine for a long time, he needs to play at no 9 and if that’s not here then loan him.

Cannot keep playing him wide during this entire learning period of his career and then expect to throw him in at no 9. He needs to learn his craft at no 9 otherwise position and the runs required will never be learnt.

If you are looking for a player who can hold the ball, dribble and make an impact though, Pogba >>>> Grealish.

Any gifs of that chance he almost scored? If that had gone in...

Not sure why he was moved to midfield in the last 15 minutes when he clearly was the only who looked to do something around their box

Yes, too much fecking around with players isn't good. Greenwood has had his time on the wings, in a game like today, he has to be central

One of the few that turned up. Best player today by far.

He was playing this well for a good chunk of last season — when he was actually fit.

Excellent. Our best player by a mile. Unfortunately let down by those around him.

Building on his good last season. I think we need to put him back in midfield, get him on the ball more and means we don’t have to play one of Fred/Matic. He does strange things defending sometimes there but so do the workhorses we put there at the minute.

He's being deployed as a 'Mezzala' and it's working well for him. Playing him in midfield in a deeper role would require him to be more disciplined which takes a lot away from his game. He likes to take risks and play with flair, which means he will lose the ball from time to time but having him high up the pitch as a half winger suits him well as we saw today.

Best player on the pitch.

He’s currently playing in his best role. It’s been proven numerous times he doesn’t work well in a midfield 2. Had Cavani been fit today we’d have won

This was really frustrating. We just didnt get the ball to him enough in the last 20 minutes. And we were... walking with the ball with no urgency either.

He played well and a bit of magic to get the equaliser for us.

This is why it's worth keeping him even if he leaves on a free at the end of the season. We'd be fecking shit without him.

Maybe yeah, I’m just fed up of seeing us start with two midfielders who can’t play the ball.

Aside from his technical brilliance, I loved how got stuck into Adams right after he'd tackled Bruno.

These thugs need to know that we have players who will give as good as they get.
