Can't wait for the usual suspects in the media to pretend that they care the same way the did when Sterling called out the press

Not a surprise, he was never embraced by fans upon returning to his boyhood club and was publicly lambasted at every turn for failing to live up to monumental expectations that no one else in the same position ever has.

Not to mention the constant attacks on his character when everyone he's ever been associated with has only ever said the contrary. Still never stopped his own fanbase from despising him the way rivals would.

Regardless of all the money you earn, it's all got to weigh on your mind tremendously. Was probably compounded by the death of his father not long ago.

Really do hope for his own peace of mind that he finds a good situation outside of England for the final stage of his career.

The nerve of this guy. Hahahaha.

Shouldnt you be happy? Pogba can never do anything right and in your opinion anyway. Now he all but confirms he is leaving because im fairly certain Pogba knows Manchester United isnt going to win anything major in the near future.

Totally disagree. With a good coach and a midfielder coming in to replace him who doesn't stroll around like he hasn't got a care in the world....we have more chance of winning something.

He's been a huge flop. Nobody to blame but himself.

As someone who battles with depression, I understand where he is coming from. I am making the most money I ever have, and I still have days where it feels like nothing is right.
I hope he finds happiness somewhere else, we never did justice by him nor did he live up to the price tag. Cheers Paul!

If he came out and said he wanted to leave, would you say fair play, or would you be annoyed?

He's already done that a few years ago when in Japan. His agent hasnt shut up about it either.

I can't believe how many fans we have who still make excuses for him.

He's been a very poor signing.

He's been one of our best players since he signed. If not good enough to your eyes the stats still confirm this

Completely disagree. He's been distinctly average. He hasn't even won club player or fans player of the year in 5 seasons.

Bruno won 2 in 18 months.

He's nowhere near been our most consistent player for us and we've been really poor in this time period too which makes it worse.

He's managed to fool so many of you. He's that amazing that he still doesn't have a club lined up that we know about even though he's a free agent.

We don't have to agree on this. Many more have been fooled by the useless likes of 'McSauce' and Maguire until this season. There's no one in that central midfield that holds a candle to Pogba in his time here. No one. The obvious criticism he gets is the price tag and how he was expected to be a 10, 8 and a 6 in all games and put out world class performances everytime.

He needs to stay fit for a start…being injured and not winning would make most players depressed.

Add to that the current state of United and it’s a nightmare! (all be it a very well paid nightmare)

Pogba hasn't had a stellar health record the past few years, which has impacted his influence on the team and vice versa. His best seasons where under Jose and a few half seasons under Ole.

He's never been in a true 3 man midfield during his time at United with proper central midfield players or tactics, which best suits his playing style across an entire season. It's pretty evident that he has to be in a top team to be effective most weeks, similar to how Thiago is at Liverpool. For all the hype that came with Thiago, he's hardly been the world beater since arriving from Bayern. Liverpool do mighty well with Fabinho, Henderson, and whoever. They did much better with Georginho W than Thiago.

Central midfields (individually and collectively) in the PL require a certain blend of energy, attitude, discipline, and skill. Paul has an abundance of skill and a winning attitude (most of the time), but his energy and discipline severely lacks.

Really unfortunate his time is going to end like this and the club couldn't build on his first couple of years.

Probably Martial Rashford and Lingard too. I don’t know what to think about this at all. I personally know depression is a horrible illness and I respect anyone who is brave enough to go public about suffering from it but on the other hand from a purely footballing perspective I only want the fittest and most motivated players in the world earning top dollar and being leaders here otherwise we are never going anywhere. Our handling of players, scouting and future planning has been nothing short of shambolic. No wonder it rubs off on the players but certain players are also their own worst enemies. In hindsight signing Pogba has been a major mistake for both parties.

There's no place for Pogba going forward. Endemic in our recent mediocrity.

Again, he's right. They never got him a DM that can play week in and week out to let him do what he's good at. However, he legit has been hurt an awful lot for someone saying words like that. For both party's sake, let's just move on from this.

I love the quotes as it makes me feel that he is going to leave. But you never know, the club may splash 400k on him and he may be advised by his agent to take a good money deal.
Hopefully it is the former and he leaves at end of season.
We have already offered him 400k but the breakup is not what he wants according to some report.

At his age and his injury issue, we should not offer him contract at all. Only reason why this isnt resolved yet is because he doesn’t have equivalent offer from other team

It’s international break. We all know what happens now. Pogba or his agent start talking about other clubs and about leaving united. It’s been happening for a long time and I wish we sold him earlier and not lost him for free (which seems imminent this summer).

It was always going to be PSG.

PSG steals players on the free.

Oh well.

Let him leave unless he takes a big wage cut

What a player, what a character.
Hope we offer him whatever he wants so that he signs the contract and continues to perform at the world class levels he has been performing at since he joined, and continues to be great PR for the club.

It’s been a pleasure most often watching a player of Pogba’s ability in a sea of utter mediocrity and a team with no structure. I do believe it’s time for both parties to move on. At 29 his legs seem to be going and giving him a long term contract could be similar to when we signed Sanchez. A two year deal would be good but beyond that I think there could be big problems.

It’s a shame ultimately that we’ve been so poorly managed at all levels the past five years. There’s no current sign of that changing. We seem to have signed everything but what we’ve really needed in that time and ultimately the balance of the team is wrong.

We have Bruno and Pogba and I believe it’s time to move on from both, Pogba due to age and Bruno due to building a functional team. But we can’t do everything at once. Letting Pogba leave now and keeping Bruno while we try to build a functioning team. Perhaps Bruno might even be able to adapt, less stats more substance, who knows…failing that most of our entire squad needs moving on from when we are talking about two of our best players.

Standard thing on an international duty, interview in which he criticizes the club and the manager. Next thing is his fat agent speaking.

On his day no one gets near him but those days are too infrequent and he’s always a game away from been injured. Throw in the fact we still don’t know his best position I think it’s time to say fairwell.

I agree on his point on he doesn’t know who’ll be playing alongside him as our midfield is just so average whereas with France he knows more often than not it’s himself , Rabiot and Kante and he can express himself a bit better when he’s in a 3 man midfield

Because it's Pogba no one will listen but I said it too a few months back. We seem to buy without a role in mind for the players we get. He is a CM so stick him in midfield that's the plan. We had no idea on how to use Donny and we still got him, Ole didn't know how to use Sancho so much he ended up benching him. It's sink or swim when you join the current United. Hopefully Rangnick is the beginning of something better in terms of recruitment with a role in mind.

Paul Pogba gives Keano depression.
It's bizarre how nuanced and microscopic your defence of Rashford is on this forum, and then you make such flippant comments about Pogba when a quote comes out about him suffering with depression.

I can't wait to see the back of him. The possibility of seeing him leave this club within a few months really does make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I hope his fans follow him whereever he goes.

Like him or not, I think his comments are completely fair. It's not even so much a Ralf thing but this season he's played in numerous positions, with different players and in different tactical set ups. Even if some thought I was part of the problem I'd be fed of playing for United, winning feck all and not getting anywhere near close to major honours. I think there's a good chance he might leave and take more money than what's on offer at United.

Assuming they want him, pinning his hopes on Ten Hag or Poch to make United challenge again seems like a risky move compared to moving to PSG or even Madrid or Juve on a lower wage.

The most frustrating player on the planet.

You could argue he's the most talented midfielder on his day. However on his day is not enough. Very disappointing.
