Getting real tired of hearing how bad he is in a two, considering if you're watching France right now that's exactly where he's currently playing. The real issue is the only decent partner for him there is Fred, who has the positional sense of a child and doesn't do well under pressure on the ball. Obviously Kante is a perfect partner, but more a player in his mould who can clean up and provide similar energy to Fred but offers more of a presence on the ball.

But to suggest he's unplayable is just dumb, because as an attacking side having a player of that caliber being able to create chances constantly from deep is a weapon.

The longer he's been here the further up the pitch he just sits, and it turns us into a 4-2-4 set up that offers no one between the lines. He has to be more of a connector instead of constantly being obsessed with goals and assists, and the overall play of the side will improve.

Yeah but the poster you are discussing with was one of those guys who called Pogba as 'Lazy twat' and James is showing them up.
I agree about Pogba, I argued for years and then gave up. What people rate as good game is so different, people forget his good moments and highlight one or 2 bad ones, biggest mistake of them all is people rate him as defensive mid, expecting him to track runners, win tackles when that isnt his game.
The problem is that the bad tends to happen when he's asked to be a player that he isn't. He's a moments player as you say. He's no more of a central midfielder than someone like Zidane or Iniesta is, each in their own way. Brilliant talent but is just used incorrectly because everyone wants to turn him into a deeper midfielder.
