Please for the sake of the team, drop him from the playing squad tonight. Let's have a team of players with even a half decent mentality and can actually turn up for the big games.

Obviously it affected him. He hasn't looked himself at all this season.

if your on about Covid-19 he must have caught it 4 years ago(bar the odd half game here and there he’s been average to shit most of the time he’s been here).

the sooner he’s out the door the better.

His legacy? His lack of professionalism and his antics both on and off the pitch will be held up as example as "everything that is wrong with modern footballers". We paying a world record fee for a overrated egomaniac who has been nothing but a headache and a destabilizing force. It will be held up as one of the driving factors of the clubs fall from grace post Fergie
.
Hopefully we getting rid of this virus and his uncouth swine of an agent can mark the beginning of us healing and going back to the top.

The only bad thing about this is how smug Sourness is going to be

Great post. I enjoyed reading that.

Absolutely this.

To hell with him and his drama. Infact why even blame his agent, after all this is all coming with his tacit approval.

If others want to moan about Pogba and call him names fair enough, I didn't mention previous posts which had similar sentiments.

I had those 2 specifically because they're the first to cry toxicity if their favourite character at the club is getting critiqued with strong language. If they want to freely insult someone who winds them up, then they have to accept when others do the same.

Either improve your own behaviour, or live and let live.

Thats a daft take. One is a club legend who lives and breathes for the club, the other is is a mercenary who constantly have taken sly digs at the club despite the club bending over backwards to appease him

If Pogba wanted to leave he could have handed in a transfer request and bowed out gracefully in January. Instead he chose to stir up shit and potentially unsettle the dressing room at the eve of a season defining fixture. Its simply unforgivable

I don't think it's a lack of professionalism or attitude. I just think that the role he plays currently doesn't suit him. He has no defensive awareness whatsoever and clearly likes to play higher up the pitch. But you are not displacing the machine that is Bruno. I also don't agree when people say he should have no defensive responsibilities for him to flourish. I think Jurgen Klopp said it best, that unless you are Messi or Ronaldo, you have to do your fair share of defensive work. Maybe COVID has also played a part this year because while he has never lit up the world during his time here, he has not been this bad either.

I think that if he ever comes back to OT with a different team, he is going to receive a worse reception than Di Maria for sure.

A major part of the blame also has to go to Woodward and Jose by the way. They sanctioned this deal with no clue about how to use him. The club and Paul have both wasted each other's time.

Bye bye Pogba . Undeniably an incredible talent. But he’s a luxury player who only steps it up when the other pieces and system are built for him. He is incapable of taking the bull by its horns and really driving the team forward.
For years I used to think, that we never gave him the tools to succeed.

But then I saw Bruno Fernandes walk-in, and despite Rashford and Pogba being out, he began to single-handedly drive this team forward through sheer will, my eyes were opened.

We brought in Pogba to be that for us, and for a while he was, especially in his first two seasons. Then he kinda sorta didn’t want to anymore. Even after Ole came, in that 15 game bounce, it was not particularly Pogba driving things.

Unfortunately he got injured early last season and ever since Bruno came, he’s been showed up. The game against West Ham proved my point perfectly.
First half as the CM he was alright. Made the basic passes and did the minimum. The moment Bruno and Rashy steps in, suddenly there’s space and Pogba shines. Why? Because he is not one for creating all that space like Bruno or Rashy. At least not consistently. Bruno is.

Bye bye Paul. We should get a good deal and plan for a good investment. Enough is enough.

P:S: Not to mention him allowing the tw*t Raiola to shit talk the club. That is not in our ethos. He can go become an insta-celeb at Juve for all I fecking care

His ego is bruised since Bruno signed. He used to hide behind the 'can't do it in a average team' excuse. Bruno has shown you can.

Honestly don't think he should play another second for us now. Let him go on January even if it's a loan to buy. Need him gone now.

I will be delighted when I stop seeing posts starting with "he's the most talented player we have, however...".

Has there been any comment from united?

I don't think his ego is bruised by Bruno. Those two get along famously and we played our best football last season with a midfield three of Bruno, Pogba and Matic in the post lockdown. Pogba was our only creative outlet from midfield before Bruno. No one in midfield even now has more assists and goals than him since he signed. You have to consider that he was also asked to play various positions in midfield while Bruno is in a settled attacking role

I don't remember when was the last time I wanted a player gone from United as much as I want this guy gone. He should get scraps when any of our midfielders need a rest, including Matić. His toxic influence should be as far from the team as possible.

He's disgraced the shirt once again and this just can't go on. It has been a disastrous United career overall and his agent is just making it worse.

Carragher ripped into him like there's no tomorrow and every word he said is damn right.

It is. He has all the tools to play in any position in midfield, the problem is he thinks hes to good to do the hard graft thats required to play midfield in the PL.

Even in a no 10 position its not like you can stroll around and let the guys behind you handle all the defensive work. Bruno did not become such a huge impact simply because he produces a lot of goals and assists, he also works his socks off which makes everyone around him better as well

Who will he target at Utd ?

Pogba seems like a nice guy but he's let his agent undermine the club one too many times and hasn't got the performances to back it up. For Pog-Worshippers it's like a Christian hymn I once heard a group of schoolchildren sing. Something about "We live by faith and not by sight."

I once heard Jonathan Wilson say when Pogba rejoined he announced he wanted to win the Ballon d’Or. "It is one player and one interview but the focus on the individual prize did seem to exemplify a growing mentality"

I think it sums up Pogba and a growing number of cretinous 'football' fans who attach themselves to individual players rather than a team.

What Keane says from 2:30-2:40 applies (differently) to both Pogba and Fernandes.

Wish Fred was available so we could leave him at the hotel tonight

not sure what Ole does.....

you'd have to think that Pogba was due to play some part

Hard to continue to play him with this continued negativity and distraction and if you are Bruno or one of the committed players then I'm not sure how much respect you have for Pogba

with the figures being mooted about 50-60m dropping him wouldn't really impact his value anyway

We played great for about 4 games after lockdown. Then we started to slip again with lots of draws at home. 2 of which were down to Pogba mistakes ironically.

For those who believe Pogba is world class, please enlighten us why this is?

Surely a world class player needs both the technical and mental aspect to their game?
A world class player performs consistently week in-week out.
A world class player elevates and raises the performances of his team-mates around him.

When is the last time Pogba contributed any of the above for United?

He's soon to be 28 and doesn't even know what his best position is. That would be a great thing if he excelled in multiple positions, but he doesn't and it just causes headaches.

I'll be delighted when he leaves, and it'll be interesting to see how deep his influence in the dressing room really goes when he leaves. He's just a man-child.

One of OGS’s many rich experiences is seeing directly how SAF dealt with such situations. So long as the club has full faith in him, I’m confident Ole will know how to handle the situation and media controversy or squad issues that is caused.

like others have said, it now seems obvious that Donny was bought in advance of selling Pogba and that was part of the ongoing ‘cultural reset’ project Ole has been overseeing.

Remember that Raiola made a statement a few months back that he was confident Pogba would sign a new deal. I think the reason Raiola and Pogba have acted out is that MUFC denied him a lucrative new contract a few weeks ago.

I don’t think Pogba has any allies he can negatively disrupt in the squad. Many are Ole signings and others like Rashford,Shaw, Lindelof or Matic are happy and feel privileged to be at the club. I imagine it’s now just Pogba moaning with Lingard and that’s about it.

This is how I see it as well. Don't think it will have overly negative impact, he has not been an important cog in the machine this season. Rest of the team will have a point to prove.

Totally agree and very well said.
The fact that he believes that he is 'unable to express himself ' is down to himself and nobody else. Yes he has great ability. But what is missing is due to the 4 inches between his ears; committment and application. Sad waste of talent. But he has been found out by teams who close him down and give him no time on the ball.

I just don't think Pogba is best suited to the PL. When he's at his best, it doesn't matter what league he's in, he's unstoppable, but when he is not playing really well, his style of play is detrimental to the team. He probably got away with it in Italy due to the different in pace of play, but it is harshly exposed in the PL. I'd be very happy if we got rid, and got a properly good DM, I think a midfield 3 of a DM, VDB and Fernandes would be quality.

He needs a slower league for his football to excel. This is why He done so well at Juve and for France.

You don't get pressed on the ball like in the PL.

He may end up at Juve and look fantastic again but this is not the same Juve side either. The defence isn't as good and the midfield is not as functional.

I really hope he leaves in Jan.

Not entirely , I think he means he wants to play in the number 10 position and/or offensive left midfielder in a 4-3-3.

But if he hadnt openly flirted with Madrid last year we might not have gotten Bruno , so.

I always avoided the Pogba threads, and was pretty apathetic about him. I was fine either way, but after this I want him gone. Lack of talent I can understand, but a lack of commitment and blatant disrespect to the club is unacceptable, especially after being supported so much already.

I don't have a problem if players want to leave, but discuss those things in private. Doing this now is a very scum move.

I'm sure we'll get our side of the story the second Pogba's out of the door, I should imagine our journalists are licking their lips at the prospect of it.

The difference between World class players and world class luxury players is;

When the team are playing crap and nothing is happening, the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, De Bruyne, Fernandes grab the team and drive them forward for the win and take the responsibility on their own shoulders. Thats world class!

Pogba, an extremely talented world class player, but a luxury player goes missing and doesn’t have that elite maturity to drag lesser talented players forward and set the example needed to be a leader!

Leave him with the reserves.

Feck that.

The young players we have coming through the reserves are just about the most exciting thing happening at the club at the moment.

Keep him as far away from them as humanly possible.

I think the truth is Ole doesn’t want him anymore! Lots of credit to him for benching Pogba so often and making the team and fans believe we can function perfectly well without him.

Such public humiliation along with refusing to give him a new contract seems to have broken Raiola and his client. It’s already first week of December so Pogba is now desperate to move in January, hence the media fuss now.

But this time I think the club is in full control, having already signed a replacement and making Pogba periphery to our needs.

It’s now upto Raiola to convince potential suitors to pay up, else his client will rot on our bench for rest of season.

fans who attach themselves to individual players rather than a team.

This is a good point and something that has irritated me throughout this whole Pogba drama. Their view that somehow the club has failed him, that somehow he's just misunderstood or a myriad of other reasons for his failure here other than the fact HE has been a failure and has shown the club huge disrespect time and time again, allowing his agent to show the club disrespect and openly flirt with other clubs while doing so. Just a disgrace.

There's obviously players over the years that fans latch onto and describe as favourites, I've had plenty, but usually those players have earned that favour by effort and contribution. Pogba was given this adoration for what? Simply being a star? I have no problem with footballers becoming stars at all but I can only really appreciate those who claim the status by performances on the pitch.

Becks was huge, probably one of the most famous people on the planet and he courted that stardom constantly. It didn't matter though because he was still curling those free kicks into the net, crossing into our box giving and our forwards a feeding frenzy and running tirelessly up and down that right wing. Same with Ronaldo. And while they were here you couldn't help but love them to bits, but it has to be because they are wearing the shirt and producing the goods while doing so. It always has to be about the shirt otherwise what are we even doing on this forum? United.

Pogba though ...

I only recently watched All or Nothing Manchester City the other weeks and it reminded me of the time, just after it had been revealed Riaola had been courting City with Pogbas signature, that in the Derby that year Pogba scored two and produced a MOTM performance. Usually performances like that against City get enshrined in legend (Rooney OH kick, Owen etc ...) so what of Pogba? The only thing that struck me was that after his agent was found trying to move him to City, he went onto the pitch with City blue hair.

I know, I know, I should'nt mention hair but that was a massive feck up. He always maintained it was because he'd played for France a week or two earlier but I never bought that. His hair was City blue, not France blue. If Roy Keane had been in the team or SAF had been in charge he would not have been allowed to go onto the field with that hair. No way. If it was only for the national team, he should have known the controversy it would cause and cut it off but no, let's play against our biggest rival, who my agent has just been trying to offer me to behind the scenes with my hair dyed their colour. Just incredible. I had actually forgotten that but it kind of typifies his stay here.

He always knew what he was doing and I always have struggled with those who say they support United but have always seemingly fallen on the side of Pogba.

Pretty spot on I think.

But bad time Frank, we are trying to sell him.

When this dabbing prat finally leaves I hope this cancerous part of our fanbase follows him.

I genuinely feel sorry for any Utd fan who idolises this fool. I'm only 35 and he's not even in my top 50 United players. Maybe not even top 100. I'd take a Nicky Butt over him any day of the week. Might not have the natural ability but more than made up for it in fight and balls.

Pogba will go down as one of if not the biggest flop in PL history now. Its all on him.

Good riddance to the circus. Its finally leaving town.
What you fail to realize is that most Pogba supporters are not even Manchester United supporters. Its a bit mad that i dont care whether he stays or leaves. i just want the club to prepare for his departure which should be much easier now than last year when this clown fiesta started.
