That's now a run of really good, productive performances from Pogba. I just hope he can keep this up, finishing the season with a few more goals/assists, 2nd position and the FA Cup would do both him and the team wonders in terms of confidence.

Why? Nobody said the same about Zidane. Or Iniesta. That isn’t his game. I think it’s only a real problem if he isn’t good at his own game, but if he is, then others can be more focused on being good at theirs - which happened in the case of Herrera.

Jose frequently does this in games puts and extra body up top to try catch out opposition on the hop in first 15 mins.
Thought it was very clear watching it Sanchez was up top.
Once we moved to 433 and tucked him little more inside and Sanchez out left we completely dominated the game in my opinion and it helped both pogba and Herrera to establish foothold in the game.
I keep thinking about how good his cross for Alexis' goal was, to put it not only over the head of the defender but also at just the right height for someone who is 5'7 to head in quite something. Not sure if Alexis made it look better by scoring a difficult to pull off header or Pogba's pass was that good that it enabled Sanchez to head it in.

It's both. Alexis is very underrated aerially. He's scored some beautiful headers in many of his seasons, expect to see some more from him.
But that pass was beautiful, if Alexis wanted to he could have even volley'd it to the GK's near post.

I guess it was like a 4-4-2 to begin with, with Pogba tucked in a la Iniesta for Barcelona. It was like the way Juve played in their second game against Spurs too, with Matuidi having that inside role and Sandro as the advanced fullback. Contrary to popular wisdom, I think Sanchez can help Pogba thrive. Sanchez can move into the middle and allow Pogba to move out wide, which is the position the latter played at Juventus. It's very similar to what Rakitic and Messi did for a while at Barcelona so I don't see why it can't work.
He just means no-one knows the future. He said he wasn't even thinking of the transfer window so why would he be thinking past that?
Neither Mourinho nor any other manager is going to get any praise when a top player plays like a top player. Nobody praises Zidane for Ronaldo playing well for example. But the manager deserves criticism if a top player isn’t able to play to his abilities. Now I agree that there have been a few performances where it seemed entirely Pogba’s fault that he played poorly. But as fans it’s not entirely crazy to think that we can differentiate between a player being poor due to lack of focus versus him not being able to express himself due to the tactics being extremely rigid.
I agree with what you're saying and I personally don't believe Mourinho deserves praise or criticism for Pogba's form.
My original post was perhaps a little too sarcastic that people may have taken me literally, but it was intended as a pop at the fans who rush on to the Caf when Pogba has played badly and blames Mourinho for ruining his career. I find it odd that people can think this, so I sarcastically said something in the lines of "right where are all the posters who criticised Mourinho now?" but all the replies I got seemed to think I actually do believe Mourinho deserves credit, but I don't. I actually think he deserves neither credit or criticism for Pogbas good or bad form.

A bit of both. It was a great cross from Pogba, and exquisite definition from sanchez. Alexis has great skills as a header although being short, plus his killer off the ball movements.
The cross was exceptional, it was like a golf shot with spin and fade. Enough to lift over the defender then dip. Spin to direct the ball exactly where it needed to go. When you look how he played it....it's genius
So I look at James out there and I can't help but think why can he play deep in a two but Pogba can't be expected to have any defensive responsibility and needs two people beside him to do all his work.
