Perhaps the new haircut will bring a change of fortunes for him on the pitch. The international break comes at the perfect time as well. Couple of games with the national team and the change of scenery should build his confidence for the last part of the season

Was gonna do a standard old fart post about preferring the good old days when nobody talked about hairstyles but then I remembered how every one of Beckham’s new ‘dos made the back (and often, front) pages. So I guess this is nothing new. If only Pog put in as much effort on the pitch as the bloke who paved the way for his high profile haircuts :(

Yeah it's nothing new at all is it. Especially for Man Utd.

I can still remember the frantic gossip spreading that Beckham had actually shaved his head back in 1999/00 (before it was revealed to be true).

Brylcreem and thousands of young men with copycat blonde streak haircuts left devastated.

If only he put as much energy into his performances on the pitch as he does with his haircut. It really annoys me he's forever posting silly dances or another haircut.
Paul if you are listening, we need your dynamism and power and effort in the middle of the pitch, not sat in the barber's chair.

Agreed. I thought I was the only one who thinks that. Seeing his endless posts of his dances and haircuts especially after a bad result really grinds my gears.

Wow that haircut is disasterous Pogs! And yes, it does actually put pressure on him to perform. Having hair like a peacock and playing badly does make it worse. Bring back the blonde 3mm and we’re in business again.

Pogba is definitely still immature but at the same time who the feck are we to criticize what he does off the field. Do we know for sure his childish behavior is the cause for his shitty performances at the moment ? I would say so no so criticizing his haircuts is just unhealthy hatred. Make no mistake, I have my opinion of the character because that is what it is but I don't judge him by it. All I care about is the football he is playing and at the moment it's dreadful. More than that is unhealthy hatred.

You're proving your point wrong by yourself, great.
So you're saying because Hazard and Pogba both played great in their first season under Mourinho, their heavy decline in the second had nothing to do with their disconnect with the manager and his tactics?

There’s been no “heavy decline” from Pogba. His first season was just as flaky as this one.
In fact, he’s arguably improved this season. That’s what the stats would indicate anyway. Right up until the recent sulking anyway.

Definitely improved this season. There were times early in the season were he was our best player for long stretches and whenever he was missing we would play like crap.

His decline this season started with the Arsenal sending off, he's not looked the same since, and post the January window he's been diabolical.

Massively hoping he has a couple of good games in this international break and comes back firing and ready to at least end the season on a high.

Comments about his hair cut is an absolute joke. What's he suppose to do, get a prison hair cut as punishment for poor performances. People forget football is a job and what people choose to do outside of it (within the law and does not put the club in disrepute) is up to him and him alone.

His form maybe poor but anyone who thinks there are not deeper underlining issues at the club haven't seen the Jose pre-match interviews.

The comparison itself is ridiculous actually.

You can say Hazard dropped in form because Mourinho restricted, even if it's not true I can understand the logic. However Pogba is a fecking midfielder, and I haven't seen any midfielder in my life that is supposed to not defend, unless you play as a second striker and he's banging goals nonstop (I.e. Lampard, and Mourinho played him there).

The clown has got a new haircut. Yippee.

:lol::lol:
People genuinely believe this and get wound up?

Can’t wait till we move him on, sign up Fellaini and then get another pair of elbows in place of Pogba.

It could be worse, could try an Elfrid Payton. Basketball player for those who do not know of him, not sure how anyone can take him seriously with a style like that.

He has now come out and said that he would like to play for the same team as Neymar.
Would not surprise me in the slightest if he’s downed tools on purpose to ease a move through. Hard to trust him and his agent.

 That's a standard answer. Nothing controversial.

I think the message that dropping Pogba is sending out to the rest of the squad is fantastic. A kid like McTominay being preferred ahead of a £90m man. Ball is in Pogbas court, he’s the one who can reverse this situation but passing the ball to the opposition and lolloping around when he loses it is not the way forward.

The closest we'll get to his best ever Mohawk haircut (Juventus).

His instagram showed the other side.

It's like the Nani thing all over again. The player is probably a really nice guy irl, but just looks like such a douchey twat, it probably affects people's perception of him.

Yes, he's free to get any haircut he wants, obviously.

The worrying element of what Pogba has said is not that he wants to play with Neymar. It’s the players he wants to emulate.

Besides Modric none of them is really known for helping with the defensive work. Pogba clearly does not model his game after box to box players. Tactically that’s an issue. It suggests he won’t change his game to suit 4-2-3-1. Long term that’s an issue.

I’ll go and get my tin hat then :wenger:
Honestly though, how has he become a player that can’t even make a short pass to his own team mates?

Because he's been playing while injured.

I was watching a video of him and Lingard doing a popular dance craze, for his birthday last week:

Compared when Lingard took over instagram last month:

He's clearly not quite fit, and that has showed in the last few games. Obviously it's not an excuse, but he hasn't just suddenly forgotten how to play football.

The answer was practically pulled out of him to make the story. And Sky conveniently left it out.

The interviewer initially read out an old quote from the Brazilian ace (Neymar), in which he said: 'I love the way he is and at some moment in time we're going to play together.'

De Bruyne helps a lot with his defensive work, Iniesta is also pretty disciplined in his role. Either way, I think he and Jose will have to meet halfway in the end to make it work imo. Pogba giving more work-rate to the team and Jose allowing him more freedom in attack.
And I also have doubts about him being fully fit in the last month. It will be interesting to see how will he play for France in these 2 games.

He could dye his hair polka dot pink as far as I’m concerned as long as he plays the way we know he can play. I do often think that these youngsters spend too much time partying about with dance routines and fashion instead of practicing taking corners for instance, something we are rubbish at.

Get your game right before the other stuff.

He said "if".

Players often make comments like this when struggling for form. If we win a major trophy, he starts performing and we offer him a new contract, he will sing a different tune. Fickle sport.

I doubt if PSG makes an offer similar to what they did to hire Neymar our board would refuse. But yes, players often say things like this by "desiring" to play with player X or Y.
