Hope he leaves for his own good. The most underappreciated and underrated player by our own fanbase for a long time. The amount of hate and shit he get's is unbelievable, if he leaves we are back to shit.

Class player and a better midfielder than De Bruyne, surrounded by abysmal fullbacks and central defenders.

Who is this guy?

I take it you watched on a foreign stream. The central talking point leading up to and during half time was Pogba's injury.
Mourinho himself said Pogba had no injury problems and the way he was talking showed a lot about how Jose felt in the situation. He is definitely not happy with the Frenchman's performances.

Pogba doesn't have the intensity in his game to play as a box-to-box, he isn't a box-to-box, he is an attacking midfielder. View him as a #10 instead of #8.

Doesn't excuse his shady mentality lately. I kinda hope he was injured today, because he looked very weird on the pitch today, either that or he has become in fm terms "disillusioned" by Mourinho's approach to him.

Very subdued, didn't run the ball, moved it on simply a lot of the time, didn't dwell on it, but looked a bit laboured in his mobility.

I know he's playing under a coach that has no idea how to use him, but damn for 89 million I expect him not to be bossed by jonjo fecking shelvey of all players. He has no intensity, no discipline, and no maturity. He plays like a kid in a playground who chases the ball regardless of his positional responsibilities. He's gonna be 25 in a month, he ain't a kid any more. We need him to be better and to be smarter because for all his talents, for all his gifts he is a headless chicken on the pitch.

So he can only play on the left of a 3 in 433?

What a bizarre excuse this is. Aside from an above average 45 minutes against Everton, he's done very little for 3 months. Certainly not enough to warrant the team being built just to accommodate him.

Would you honestly rather have Pogba in your side?

So... Say we had KDB instead of Pogba. Would it not be Lingard out on his arse and a gaping hole where Pogba should have been?

As in they are not like for like as one is being asked to play #6 while the other roams as he pleases.

He hasn't been the same ever since his mate Mhki was sold, very poor and disinterested. They do share the same agent, don't they? Something might be going on there or i may be seeing too much into this

Do you though? Is he good enough to build a team around? I'm honestly not convinced.
I know people have different, quite polar opinion on him, but from my point of view, he is our most consistent and most important player. He proved he can produce world class performances when we build team around him, but asking him to play deep in a 2 man midfield he will always look average at best.
Last few games his form dropped a bit, as well as Martial's - Although Martial won potm he also didn't looked lively today, especially in second half.
I think they are both suffering because of Alexis arrival and being shifted to different positions. I'm not a body language expert but I do think they are not very satisfied with their roles, especially as they performed superbly just recently.
I don't know what to think, I really hope we try something like this in near future:
-Martial-Lukaku-Sanchez
------Pogba--------------
-Matic-------Herrera-

But I'm afraid this game today will result in dropping Martial and maybe Pogba, but it will solve nothing. We must play 3 man in midfield and Pogba in advanced role, there is no other way.

He's an immense talent but talent only gets you so far. How many amazing players have we seen come and go due to attitude.

I personally don't care if you're instagramming all the time, hanging out with pop stars, having a cool hairstyle etc. But when you're not performing on the pitch, something has to give. Now these things may be unrelated but they also could be related.

We know he works best in a three. We know he is out there to express himself and almost play for himself. It's about channelling that and getting him to express himself, play his game and have that contribute to the team.

Take Ronaldo. Loves to express himself, loved to take the limelight but he was pushed towards getting the limelight via scoring goals (helping the team win).

Otherwise he would be a highly entertaining show pony with a good highlights reel but overall a detriment to the team.

With Pogba I firmly believe he needs freedom on the pitch and midfield support. Now Carrick is back, him and Matic plus Pogba should work. Almost like Juve with Carrick at the base in line with Pirlo and Matic more a Marchisio player. Pogba on the left and let him run the game.

Think he injured himself in the warmup and tried to play regardless. One of his worst matches was the result

Dude are you kidding me or? I stated my mind, made a guess based on the situation development and circumstances, after which you come and tell me I have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about. After which I ask you for your opinion on the situation, which you say you dont have.

Hey if you have problem with people making guesses, I don't care, that's your problem but don't go around and telling people they have absolutely have idea what they're talking about just because the guess is too far fetched for you to accept.
Do you not know what guess means? You're using my point as proof against it.

Would you honestly rather have Pogba in your side?

KDB is the best midfielder in the league currently. However, Pogba was voted one of the best two central midfielders in the world when he was at Juve, he won 4 titles in a row, reached the CL final and a major international tournament final that year. You can't rewrite history I'm afraid, it is what it is. To say that KDB is 'twice' the player is risible nonsense given what Pogba has already achieved in the game, achievements KDB still aspires to despite being older.

Seems like Jose's patience with him is wearing thin as well.

In the post-match interview he said Pogba wasn't injured, and declined to comment further.

Hope he's dropped for the Chelsea game. N'Golo Kante and Drinkwater will probably run rings around him on this form.

Pogba was injured. Jose is just trying to deflect blame away from himself. Jose has also blamed players for not playing through injuries so I can understand Pogba's performance. It's the managers responsibility to ensure that everyone playing is at 100% otherwise you bring them off. Anyone could see he wasn't moving freely. I picked up on it after 10 minutes.

Do people not realize by making so many excuses for him, be it the coach, the system, the position, the stars, they're effectively saying he is a very limited player?

The only redeeming thing is that he is still young for a centre midfield. Most only develop the maturity to become world class at 25 or even 26. Before that they usually cannot find the right balance between attack and defence, between verticality and control and knowing when to take risks and when to play it safe.

Anyone remembers when we signed Pogba, how JM told him that he/we will provide him best platform to be best in the world. Dont remember last time when DM was a best player in the world.

Do you not know what guess means? You're using my point as proof against it.

Do you understand that this isn't communism and we're free to voice our opinions and guesses?

Let me repeat it once again for you, if you have problem with people voicing their opinions, I don't care, not one bit, don't read them.

You see - this is a poor argument imo - you may disagree (and you may be right) but football is a team game and a player who happened to play in a dominant team in a league - such as Juve and wins medals as a result is great but it is not proof of that player being amazing. Lots of good, decent and pretty great players played in winning sides. Would you rather have KDB or Pobga in your side? If you asked any fan in England of any club apart from Utd they would all say KDB.

Why do people keep using this excuse when Mourinho very quickly disproved this notion in the post-match as being untrue?

So Mourinho said he wasn't injured? Pretty shocking performance from Pogba if so.

He can only play on the left of a midfield three managed by St. Pep, in 13.5 degrees weather or warmer with mild-moderate humidity, next to a destroyer and a box-to-box midfielder, with 4.8 million Twitter followers and playing to a dance track. It's all Jose's fault he ain't fulfilling his potential.

I can't buy that for a second. Guessing Mourinho is basing that off Pogba claiming he didn't have an injury because he wanted to play.

I take it you watched on a foreign stream. The central talking point leading up to and during half time was Pogba's injury.

I watched on Sky, where Jose said there was nothing wrong with him...

Something definitely up, either injured, ill or pissed off.

Either way not a good sign and I could see a problem developing between him and Jose.

It’s a bit worrying really, I thought it watching him for juventus, his football brain isn’t there, it’s actually incredibly poor. He not a CM, maybe he can be carried as one in a 3, but ultimately he’s an attacking player as the rest of his game is utter shite.

I can't buy that for a second. Guessing Mourinho is basing that off Pogba claiming he didn't have an injury because he wanted to play.

Or not wanting to admit that a player played a match with an injury that could have been made worse. Mourinho is hardly the most honest source but who knows, maybe he was injured maybe he wasnt.

Probably get a lot of shit for this but feck it....If Pogba doesn't improve dramatically between now and the end of the season i think we should look to get rid. We paid a world record fee to bring him back to the club and this is what we get in return?

I know people will say he's not being used correctly but so what? That doesn't excuse his clear lack of effort and at times appalling decision making. He seems like a spoilt brat who spits his dummy out when things don't go his way, not the mentality we need when we are trying to get back to the top. For me he is all style and no substance, I hope he turns it around and proves me wrong but at the moment I just don't see it. He has all the ability in the world but I just don't think he's capable of applying himself consistently.
