wasn't sloppy today, did great for the most part, unable to disposses him from the ball. love him, he's slowly becoming consistently great, which is what I expect from him!

Brilliant player, but won't get his dues until we are at least in a title-race. Nobody knows or cares how well the left-back at Southampton is playing, when judging the best left back, their brains scan the left-backs of the top 4 or 5 clubs and pick from there.

He can't possibly be recognised as the best midfielder in the league while playing for a team that gets more criticism than praise.

Playing it much simpler today and was much better for the. If he continues like this, we have one helluva midfielder on our hands. His dribbling and close control is only matched by Modric. Sometimes Pogba overdoes it, but I like what I am seeing.

This is very true.

Looking at his physique, he's already an incredible specimen but I feel he could add on even more weight.. if he could fill out just a tad, he'd be scary as feck.

Don't wanna go too far with that, he's pretty nimble and adding bulk will take some of that away.

Best midfielder in the league, always feel confident with him and Zlatan in the team

So you think he's the best midfielder in the league now. You were saying he's an ok player not too long ago. Your opinion on players really changes with each game doesn't it?

Definitely agree, just a tad being the operative word. He sometimes loses shoulder to shoulder challenges, which he shouldn't.. plus I feel it would give him more power with his running. Don't want him going all Ronaldo on us, but abit more strength and power would enhance his game.

Luckily he has a man with a perfect muscle/agility ratio in his body to guide him

In terms of all around midfielders there aren't anyone else even close to him the way he's been playing for the past couple of months. He does everything form shutting the opposition down defensively to starting our attacks and finishing them off.

There are a couple of players who have provided more end product thus far this season, so I suppose you could argue that they contend with him for "best midfielder in the league" (even if none of them are traditional midfielders in the sense that he is). I suspect it won't be long until he's matching their numbers in terms of direct contributions as well, and at that point there won't be anything to debate.

One thing I know for certain is that there is not a player in the league I would swap Pogba for, midfielder or otherwise. The boy is 23 and his ceiling is sky high, and the prospect of him staying with us throughout his best years fills me with glee. I have a feeling those £89 million will end up looking like something of a bargain.

Rated him higher on Wednesday personally but I understand the aspects people enjoyed from today's game. I can't wait to see some of the performances he'll turn in over the next few years as he develops. And when one of those rockets fly in its going to be special!

Lallanas been better actually.

Pogba will be the best midielder before long, but he hasn't been this season despite a good last couple months.

Yeah just for how many row Zs we have to deal with in order to witness the said rocket.

It'll still be worth it for the feeling that one rocket will give me.

I reckon I'm looking down the table at Pogba and United.

But is he good enough to start for Spurs ahead of the best Box to Box midfielder Dembele and Alli who at the age of 20 years and 8 months was better than Pogba when he was 20 years and 8 months.

His holdup play is consistently incredible. We've got a very special team player on our hands.

He just looks a proper United player. He loves it.

I don't even need to waste my time analysing his performance or performances because we all know he is superb. It still surprises me though how easy he makes it look, bearing in mind how young he is.

He is excellent again, but I still think his first touch needs to improve, there is some instances that he had bad touches but he can get away with it because his physical ability allow him to protect the ball easily, but if his first touch can get to the level of Iniesta then he'll become such an immense player for us, even now he is such an immense player for us though, cannot imagine how we cope without him and Ibra

I thought he was quite average to be honest. He wasn't bad but didn't do anything outstanding, and was a bit sloppy a few times.

No complaints other than the stupidity he shows quite often when he'll try to dribble out close to our box and loses the ball. Hope he cuts it out and does it a little further away.

He still makes a couple of wrong choices each match, but seeing how young he is it's understandable. I also get the feeling he tries very hard to impress at times and this also leads to him making some unforced errors.

Once he lowers his shoulders a bit i suspect him to do less of those.

perfect muscle/agility ratio indeed :lol::lol:

Get out the GIFs!

Some of the passes and dribbles in the first half.

Him, Carrick and Herrera basically dominates every opponent they're up against. Long may it continue.

Pogba was immense yesterday. One thing that's really impressed is how difficult it is to get the ball off him. He hardly ever loses possession, except from the odd stray pass. He's definitely on the right track to becoming the most complete midfielder in the world.

Great though this was, the first thought which rang through my mind was that it could have been me if my application for a ticket came through the ballot

Honestly, when he joined and said he felt like it was returning home and that he loved us, I put it down to PR guff and that he was just a mercenary (which is absolutely fine, almost all modern day footballers are), but when I saw him in the flesh at Selhurst Park celebrating with the fans on Wednesday, and now this, it really comes across as him being one of our own. I fecking love him, and anyone who knew me before he joined us, knows that my impression of him was almost the total, polar opposite

Yeah but he only joined us because Real Madrid didn't want him...

I actually thought of you at that time and thought if only we hung on against Everton, Pogba might have come over then as well.
