Good to hear, like most people in here I don’t know much about him except the multiple YouTube snippets
There was an interesting article a few days ago, where they discussed with is coach about him starting out what type of player he was. Later he left and he moved to Lecce.

Any other clubs looking at him ?
Only rumors are United and Barcelona. Sport (catalan sports newspaper) did an article last week saying Barcelona was very interested and called him the portuguese Lamine Yamal. Doubt they can afford him though. Next summer it will be hard to negotiate with us because we will have plenty of money due to impending sales of Gyökeres, Diomande and possibly Hjulmand. We won't be cash strapped and will drive a hard bargain in the following deals.

£25m is a pretty reasonable fee especially if it's spread out over the period of his initial contract. now we just need the young lad to hit the ground running bc we are desperate for some attacking options

My negativity is just concerning the price we pay. I don't mind a punt at all, but in my opinion it's too expensive for that, especially considering our financial situation. Buying potential is great, but half this thread seems to expect immediate fireworks

Given how tight they’re being with the money, I think it’s safe to assume that they aren’t being silly with their money here. How much is he costing? £20-30m? This isn’t the hill to die on. In terms of fees we pay, it’s very low. Brighton and other clubs like that are splashing more on players. I don’t know how cheap you expect us to be, but this isn’t a fee that is going to kill us even if he flops.

We signed Diego Leon for peanuts, we might be saying soon how well we have done to sign two really good young prospects for £40m max combined. If he turns out really good then it’s a great fee.

£25M. Pretty decent fee. Just have to hope he settles quickly. I think switching him to LWB and having Dalot (who is out of form but an attacking type) at RWB could help our balance in attack enormously. I don’t expect us to be rattling in the goals overnight mind.

What’s the problem with him being a content creator and posting his videos here? They are football videos afterall and the quality seems good. Some jealous people.

What are you basing that on? He's young, he plays at a struggling team but isnt exactly a standout young player in the league. He has rumoured interest from teams like Napoli, but they arent making bids and havent got involved as we negotiate with Lecce. For all intents and purposes we have a free run at him with no competition. Presumably we're the only club willing to talk about him in the ballpark of what we've agreed to pay for him.

Which, despite my own doubts from watching him doesnt mean he wont end up worth it. But he's not in demand in terms of rival clubs bidding. Lecce just want to make as much money as possible from his sale.

So what makes £25 million reasonable? Mazraroui cost £12.5 million. Brighton signed Barco from Boca last Jan for £7.7 million and he has lots of potential and plays as a leftback...

Probably something to do with the abuse he was hurling at the staff.

I had to laugh at that video posted from this Pythagoras guy. He says he wants to see more variety in his finishing, like volleys and chip shots, whilst his video shows no examples where these finishes would be warranted. There’s no way players go to these YouTube guys for representation surely? And the idea of a coach going to them for tactical advice is almost laughable.

I might be wrong, but wasn't Mazraoui's contract running out? Bayern also wanted rid as he'd been pretty injury prone and they'd practically replaced him.

Barco was a teenager with a handful of games under his belt in Argentina. He's also struggled to establish himself at Brighton, and hasn't pulled up any trees on loan at Sevilla.

These aren't very good examples. Dorgu was linked to Spurs and Chelsea in the summer. Napoli were looking at signing him now and letting him stay on loan at Lecce until the summer, even they'd take him for their first team.

These are much higher calibre clubs than Brighton, which might explain the fee. Which isn't even that high, well things considered.

How do you know that Dorgu would establish himself at Brighton?

Nobody else bid
. Thats it. Nobody. You can try to talk around it, but its a fact. Nobody else bid. Its just us that wants him at anywhere near the price Lecce are asking for. Else they'd get involved because guess what, once he signs they cant sign him

How do you know he wouldn't?

I mean you don't actually know that nobody else bid. I don't think that's really how football transfers work anyway. Clubs might have made enquiries to the player, but maybe he told them he wanted the United move, or that he didn't want to wait until the summer. Why would they bid then?

I know that its currently a much higher bar than doing well at United currently and from watching him I doubt he'll make much improvement. But more importantly you're the one who said Barco isnt a good comparison then listed how he hasnt made an impact at Brighton or on loan. Well hes playing at clubs doing better than Lecce - who watching them this weekend were diabolically bad and he wasnt better. So in all linkelyhood he wouldnt be doing any better. However Barco looks to have a lot of potential as a leftback or even a more ball playing position and cost less than half of what we're paying for Dorgu, also signed Jan but last year.

Wait, Raees is banned? Just for posting his own videos? seems harsh
He wasn’t contributing to the site but was self promoting which is against our rules. He was asked to stop and told the admin to go feck himself. That’s why he’s banned and we will not freely promote his nonsense anymore

I did notice that recently, now you mention it. Any transfer thread post would just be a blanket YouTube link to his video

Just another example of penny pinching. He might turn out to be a decent player and anything is better than what we have at lb but he's not exactly the caliber of player we need right now. We act like Brighton and before everyone says yeah Brighton do well. Yes for a small club they are awesome but they finished 6th at the highest point and are usually what between 9th and11?. There are a million better LB's out there Kerkez, Ait-Nouiri, Antoinee Robinson, Nuno Mendes. Loads. And Im not having this we have no cash nonsense.

 fair enough! I quite liked him, used to crop up on the United hour pod as well
