SERIOUS BUSINESS.

That is brilliant.

I'd very much like to see a Tekken match between Patrice and Ballack.

This has the makings of a great photoshop picture.. But unfortunately I neither have the time nor the required knowledge to perform such a task..

Ha I saw that and wished Rooney's goal was a winner so that he could have done his its over sign. It would have been perfect

Huge responsibilty in providing us with width and he has responded in superb fashion. Excellent defensively today against Lennon too

He's three-lung Evra

thats why hes good friends with park and tevez, hes assimilating their best qualities: parks three lung and tevez's work rate. Tevez realized this and bailed out before it was complete.

all seriousness though, what a class player. bottled lennon up, was firey, got forward with bursting runs and provided width when needed. all around great performance.

That was an amazing piece of work when he turned and darted into the box, shame the shot was just a bit wide.

Evra was awesome today. Best left-back in the world today, and best United have ever had.

Gonna have to disagree with a few people. He had some problems, some caused by Lennon earlier on. After we went down to 10 men though, we pushed him forwards and not only did that batter Spurs' defences down our left, but he had no trouble whatsoever defending down that side. Its something we should have looked to do from the start to be honest, get Evra right up the pitch and make Lennon chase him back all game instead of vice versa. It worked with Messi a few seasons ago.

Fantastic performance today, put in a great shift down the wing and was strong in his tackle.

It's really not at all that stupid.

I'm Irwin's biggest fan but Evra is in the process of overtaking him as our best left back ever.

In the process, maybe. He needs another 4 or 5 seasons to overtake him. People really do under appreciate Irwin

It's Evra's final ball that let's him down. Even though Irwin didn't get forward quite as often and as well as Evra, I think he was more effective when he did get the chance to get that final pass or cross into the box.

It's certainly not a stupid thing to say, it's bloody close between them and if I had to name the best Man Utd team ever I'd probably have Evra at leftback and Irwin at rightback (although obviously I never saw the babes).

Imagine if he had scored that one chance. Caftards and Evraists evrawhere would be having wet dreams for weeks.

He's superior to everything that is, has been and will be.

Just his existence means I may have to rethink my atheism.

Today he exorcised his Lennon.

It's fecking stupid how good he is.

There are a few really good attacking right backs around, but Evra's got that little bit something else to his game. Not only is he a player that people actually to look to pick out on a consistent basis, he actually influences a lot of how we play - he fecking runs that left hand side!

I had to laugh when the co-commentator (Waddle, I think) that started going on about his defensive weakness. For some reason, people immediately jump to the conclusion with full backs that, if they can attack, they can't defend. There have been criticisms levelled at Evra in regards to his size and positioning, but it's mostly bollocks. He can be caught out of position, but if stayed in position a lot more then we'd lose a lot more than we'd gain. He's found an unbelievable balance between the two.

In the last 15 mins or so of the game, I had the impression that Spurs were playing with 10 men not us...

And the reason is because in Evra, Rooney and Fletcher its like you have 2 players in 1...

Evra is just too fecking cool.

He was immense against Spurs aswell, as soon as Scholes went off (and before to be fair, but to a lesser extent) he was like an extra body in midfield and yet sacrificed no defending.

He truly does what he says in the interview... He doesn't focus on the wing player... he focuses on the left wing and helps us add so much pressure, not to mention is an incredible passer and runner when he starts co-oping on the left.

If Evra and Nani can gel like Evra did with Ronnie, our left wing is looking quite fancy.

Evra and Nani are already a better team than Evra and Ronaldo. In fact, they gelled almost straight away when Nani arrived.

I can't watch an Evra interview without grinning throughout its entirity.

I liked how he said it'd be a massive game next week. :)
