Ousmane Dembele

All the people saying "feck sake" will be saying "omg he's so good" in a few months.
Dude the I told you so will be so sweet when Demenele proves to be the best player at the club. This is such a gift from Barcelona should the deal happen.

Who says 26 Million fee?
Dembele costs Barca €26m per year (€130m/5). They need his departure to fund Depay (also costing €25m). What sense would letting him go for any less make to them? They might ask for a bit less as if he comes without a buy option, it's a great deal for them. But he's not going to be coming for cheap regardless

We have a first option on Depay dont we? Surprised Ed hasnt put in an offer just to wind Barca up

You talking about on a loan basis or a permanent deal because wasn't too sure

Can you stop posting fees out of thin air? Everyone is asking for a source and you are giving us your theories

I want this deal but now that we got Traore I dont see this one going through.
We arent getting two right wingers in one transfer window, makes no sense.
Traore should appease the base and thats that.

Traore is 18 years old (I believe). At senior level, he has played a grand total of 6 matches.
Do you remember a player called Dalot? He has similar experience to him.
I assure you, that he won't be playing many games for the 1st team this year. He may get on the bench, but that's it.
We'd hope that in 3-4 years Traore would be a genuine option, but that's only if he improves. The odds of that happening ire VERY low. Most players don't make the grade.

Regarding Dembele, logically it won't happen, but knowing our board, they'd absolutely loan in an injured player, who played a grand total of 5 league games last season. His injury record is worse than Phil Jones.
I would take Dembele, but only on a pay as you play basis and only if he genuinely wants to play for MUFC. My understanding is that he does not want to play for MUFC and wants to stay at Barca (similar to Di Maria and Real Madrid).

So you then. Anyone with actual reputable sources?

Why is one fee (including bonuses that haven't all been paid as far as I know) being amortised and the other one isn't?

They're obviously going to make a loss on him, because he's lost a lot of value.

Nobody knows yet, but he's not going to be coming for cheap that's for sure. Okay i'll stop.

Coutinho who was more expensive, was loaned for 8.5m last year.

I'm not sure Barca wanted him sold purely due to how they view him as a player, but don't the board need to break even or face having to pay debts from their own pockets? Maybe them trying to balance the books...

Okay, my ignorance then. What do you think of this loan deal? Better deal for Barca than us no? Do you not think it's worth it to pay the ~€60m to buy him instead?

I really hope we sign Dembele and Traore. What are the chances of this happening, I don't want to get my hopes up and end up with neither and fecking Sarr instead.

Feel like there's more than enough time for this to get straightened out and we end up with him on loan.

Then it's just a simple case of praying he stays fit.

I've wanted us to sign a left footed right side attacking player for God knows how long and it's possible we might sign TWO?!?!?!?
Please be true

It's a terrible deal for Barcelona, they need cash and they won't have it. And no I don't think that it's worth it to spend 60m on a player that could be damaged good, a loan is ideal for United in particular if Dembélé doesn't extend with Barcelona.

Provided that there is desire for Utd to push for it

Player wants out if he's correct.

That makes perfect sense for them to not allow it without the added year. If the loan is off the table, we might be able to get a cut price permanent deal now, if Dembele tries to force his way out some more.

Think Utd still harbor hopes of getting Sancho in the summer hence why they are only interested in loan deal
