It's as if Liverpool has already won it so they can afford to let one slip away this yearWhy? If Liverpool can make the gamble why can’t we? As we aren’t league champions?

I’m not sure we do though? Our front 3 is pretty exciting. We just need more options. It’s the type of gamble Liverpool and Juve can afford to take right now. We find ourselves in a considerably more desperate situation.
I weirdly do think it could accidentally be a stroke of genius if he can stay fit, big if I know.if we can't get sancho, dembele on loan could be a good option. Could be a blinder or an absolute disaster.
I’ve watched both Dembele and Sancho play many times.
If I am truly honest, Dembele at his best has been better than Sancho at his best from what I’ve seen. Dembele at Dortmund was fantastic. BUT it’s a high risk and wishful thinking to imagine we are going to get that same player. He was so explosive and electric but the number of muscular leg injuries he’s picked up will surely affect his explosive nature.
Agree. Signing no one can even do much worse.Because if it doesn’t work out for Liverpool they still have a title-winning squad to compensate. If it doesn’t work out for us we’re left facing yet another season of impotence on the right wing and general lack of quality forward options, Greenwood’s development notwithstanding.
https://www.redcafe.net/threads/robben.264664/It may do, it may not. I can imagine if we were linked with Robben in 2009 people would have been bitching and moaning at the point too.
In hindsight, we should have gone for him!

Fine, those two teams are in a position of strength. Champions of their leagues and able to make mistakes in transfers imo. He's a fantastic player and normally i'd be all for it. But did you not see his list of injuries? I mean, if that doesn't raise alarm bells then i don't know what to say. Let another team fix him and see if he has a consistent season first.
For people comparing to ADM situation, you have to remember it had something to do with LVG man management too. ADM was not his prize signing, and there is clear character clash, that adding fuel to ADM undesire to stick for long.https://www.redcafe.net/threads/robben.264664/
First comment amused me. Sure I’ve seen the very same comment in this thread.
We already have two sulky French players, so what could possibly go wrong with one more?if we can't get sancho, dembele on loan could be a good option. Could be a blinder or an absolute disaster.

I don't think this will end up happening, Ive just watched one of his compilation videos and that's usually the final nail in the coffin.

Just had a read through the first page and 'injury prone', 'greedy' and 'past his best' were just some suggestions.https://www.redcafe.net/threads/robben.264664/

If he is fixed, then he will be worth the 130m Barca paid for him and beyond us.
It is a loan. Your downsize is 8 months of wages, or 10m.
His injury record and attitude are huge red flags. He's everything Ole said he didn't want. He didn't want to leave barça, has an injury record that makes Phil Jones look like captain America, he's always late for training and gives huge disciple issues, can't tell when last he's actually played well, is on huge wages and most of all he's not Jadon Sancho. Why are people so against Dembele on a loan? Have they forgotten what he can do?

And to add insult to injury... We are begging him to come . What a joke.
Rather get sancho and Brooks or Sarr or even Memphis. Dembele was a phenomenal player at times at Dortmund then it all went tits up and he has breadsticks for hamstringsSee my post, it’s Dembele and Sancho
Personal take: seems like Dembélé might've been viewed as a fallback option for Sancho.
Getting dembele literally means you are relying on the same players as last year.I don’t see problem if he joins on loan, it’s a punt and he’ll probably be injured most of time but Sancho deal seems very unlikely and I’d rather a panic loan than a panic buy.
Except he won’t be rotating if he is injured. Plus he will cost us around 20m if it’s a pure loanSo would they be willing to accept only a loan with option to buy are do they insist on it being a permanent sale?
A loan would with us covering his wages would benefit both sides given Koemans reported hard-on for Memphis and it'd be as good a potential stop gap in case of missing out on Sancho that we could find this late in the window.
If he's open and Barca are OK with a loan, I think it would have huge upside for us. Would allow us to really rotate regularly with our forwards without having the massive drop off in quality we currently suffer from

Yeah! It's a good thing we don't have any smelly, drunken, Traveller, paddies in the squad anymore too!We already have two sulky French players, so what could possibly go wrong with one more?
