so shit
We don't currently have a single defender who is worthy of playing every week for a team that wins the title, or comes close to winning it.
Arguably most of them aren't even worthy of European football.
Don't go blaming the board alone. So many of our fans wanted him. Oh feck we in trouble. Red cardNice to see the massive investment by the clown board paid off. Maguire fee was the biggest robbery in football history, 50m for a FB that can't control a ball or pass... Now we can't afford a potential WC RW, thing that we've been crying for a decade.
Great timing, broBailly is playing one man defence right now but go on. Feel free to shit on him when his clown partner is the one letting everyone down.
Was always a slow Chris Smalling that thinks he's Beckenbauer, it's crazy.Don't go blaming the board alone. So many of our fans wanted him. Oh feck we in trouble. Red card
Great timing, bro
No he's not. Neither are good enough and that's the point. It doesn't change the fact that he's a far better defender than that cart horse. The game was already over anyway.
Doing fine without Lindelof though.Hope everyone is happy with the results of trying to play the ball out of the back when its not sensible
We could have Baresi and Maldini in their prime and our defense would still be shit. This is more of a coaching problem than a personnel problem IMO.
Yeah
"Ole has made fantastic signings though, we should make him our DOF"
How many times have I read that on here
And again. You know what, Bailly is absolutely garbage and the hipsterism about Lindelof is well and truly apparent now.
Even before the third, he threw himself at a loose shot and could easily have given away a penalty if it'd hit his arm. Such reactionism is not good good defending.
Is it reasonable to say that our attacking players are being hugely let down by the defensive players?
It certainly has looked so since the EL semi loss.
No he's not. Neither are good enough and that's the point.
It's like we watch different games. Bailly was crap for us even before Maguire was signed. So no, I don't think he's a top defender.Yes he is. He's suffering from what Lindelöf suffered: Trying to save Maguire's ass countless times because he's fecking slow and clueless as a defender. Also under a competent manager Bailly have the ability to be a top defender. For Maguire there's no hope as he's absolutely average and that's his ceiling.
Did you like Maguire's defending in 4th Spurs goal btw?
That sounds a great idea to me. Better than any bloody signing at this point. The biggest signing the club could ask for is..
- A defensive coach to organize the defensive unit
- An offensive coach to sort out how we break down a low block
- A director of football
