Why is there always a meltdown by football fans whenever Chelsea make a sale?
Because it always seems to be for a fee that screams "BENT".

HOW do Chelsea do this season after season? He's not even been a regular this season! And apparently he's worth two thirds of a Pogba.
Matt Law reckons its been accepted now. £350k a week he will get.
There is nothing fishy about this sale at all. Annoying when people cant accept some clubs will pay silly fees for players. Especially the Chinese who also paid 50 odd mil for Hulk. Teixeira was £40m ish. Its just the Chinese throwing money at attempts to improve their league and reputation.
Further enhances Conte's budget for Jan. Can see them going balls deep for Nainggolan and a CB
Chinese are ruining the transfer market. They clearly impact other leagues with their irrational spending. I´m still mad they paid 13M for some Bremen striker, whose name I forgot, while Darmstadt got just 3M for Wagner, although Wagner is much better than the striker whose name I forgot. But now Bremen had an additional 10M in funds for that player, while broke ass Darmstadt got virtually nothing for Wagner. Wagner has 7 goals and 2 assists for Hoffenheim, while shitty striker has I don´t how many goals for I don´t know what club in I don´t know what league.
He's certainly not shit. He's just...decent.
Far too good to retire to China. He's good enough for a club around Everton or West ham level. Somewhere that he can start week in and week out and be the star player.
This news coming after Conte's press conference this morning in which he refused to guarnetee that Fabregas will stay beyond January has me thinking if he has a big target he wants in midfield.
There's a certain little Italian beast in Paris that he knows well...
But there's no point when he will probably receive more for three years in China than he will receive for 20 years at one of them, and besides he will still be young enough to return to European top tier football after 2-3 years of Chinese exile. He's certainly not shit. He's just...decent.

There is nothing dodgy about this deal. Chinese have been throwing around absurd money. The FA should spend their time investigating Chelsea's sales of players. But then again, maybe they are in on it too. Coincedence that Chelsea get a fine today, make it look like they are against Chelsea, but in reality, they are profiting from dodgy transfer deals.

Besides if these transfer sums are not real and just get reported by Chelsea as real, what's the gain?
Why is it so "dodgy" that a Chinese club, who (a lot of) have massively overspent on almost every signing, have now overspent on Oscar? It isnt. There is a pattern with their clubsI can imagine you thought the Qatar world cup decision, general world cup bidding, and Man City using a sister company to sponsor them for a huge fee were 100% legit too.
"Nothing to see here"
Shanghai are nuts though. AVB loves Oscar too. Hulk they signed in summer for something astronomical tooI can understand Mata's fee, even Luiz to some extent considering the lack of top class CBs, but this is unreal. Chelsea must have a book of dirt on everyone.
haha unbelievable shout. Dead ringer.Christ, his body looks look that creepy beast from Pan's Labyrinth.
Still only 25. Can consider this a lengthy holiday where he can earn global superstar wages and move back to a European club in a couple of years if he's still good. This thread could be retitled "Oscar retires from competetive football".....what a waste, surely he could have went to a team in Spain or Germany.

Yeah, I doubt he'll ever play for a big club again but I'm sure clubs on that second tier would take aTwo years out of top level football will make it very hard to get back in at any EL lervel club IMO, it's not like he's so good that teams will be following his progress in a dead end league.
Crazy offer, and I'm sure its partnered with crazy wages. Not to mention the possible attraction of China (not saying it compares to London, just personal preference).
I don't think the deal will happen. I'm sure Shanghai would bite Chelsea's hand off, and Chelsea vice versa. I just can't see Oscar going to china. Quality player on his day, would be able to find himself other clubs across Europe.
Depends on his motivation. If the bookies start accepting odds, I will gladly have a cheeky flutter on him staying away from China.
I hope this is the case.
But i think there is a big chance it will happen too.
Dario Conca (Brazilian) plays there, they probably have talk and Conca is a pioneer of players at their peak going to China, and probably has only good things to say.
Conca went there in 2011 and was making 12 million dollars back in 2011 (more than Messi i think), so imagine how good are gonna be the wages for a player with a higher ceiling than Conca.
Also, Conca went back to Brazil but only stayed one season. Went back to China after 1 year, so i can only imagine its not a bad place to play football.
Hopefully its not the case. Oscar could be great in Serie A, Spain...
It probably won't happen and Man Utd aren't owned by a crook. If tomorrow a story comes out saying they want Rooney for £80m will people here still cry fowl and say it's fishy? Of course not. You'd be creaming yourselves.
I'm well compensated for the hardship of living in one of the best cities in the world. Honestly, Shanghai is great. Can only imagine how good it would be for someone on wages like Oscar's.Are living conditions in China that bad that players need such obscene amounts thrown at them to be convinced to come? @Keenst What kind of wages are you on?
Didn't a Chinese club buy teixiera for 40/50mil this summer? There idea of a negotiation seems to involve sending the other team's negotiator into shock with their first offer.I call BS. Why would they bid 60m when it is obvious chelsea would accept less for a player that has stalled and not really need much anymore?
It's Oscar wages they would need to throw the big bucks at, to convince him to actually join.
