Oscar to Shanghai SIPG for £60 million

I doubt it, too, but it's okay to dream!

And yes, apparently Roman is prepared to really back Conte over the next couple of windows. Doubt there's much you can do in January when it comes to top players, though. Not expecting any splashes next month.

Yessss! We should at least tempt him.
Why didn't Abramovich back Mourinho like that after the title win? I don't really get what's he's up too. Sometimes the stories are about breaking even and others about spending big

Probably just some good old fashioned money laundering.
Every time we make a big sale this is said.

Annoyingly, the board thought the same side were good enough to win the title again with very little changing. Mou said exactly that when the window shut.

That is so fishy.

You know it's true and I'm sure that you think the same. 60m for Oscar, seriously? :D

If it were any other club from a European league even I as a Chelsea fan would think there's something going on. But these Chinese clubs don't feck around! They'll pay whatever it takes. The Hulk, Ramires, and Jackson Martinez deals should say it all. Oscar is younger and probably more famous than any of those.

Nobody is doubting this will actually happen?

Not every club is owned by a man like Roman Abramovich.

Of course they are. It's the Daily Mail.
That's what I said at first. Many other outlets saying it now, too. Looks like they were told this by people who would know. Even say he's keen to go! It's like a dream that a fan would think up.

Not sure why a fan would dream of one of their players being transferred (unless they hate the player!). It's not as though my tickets will be cheaper if this goes though.

Worrying if true, I think conte will spend that money right, he won't go out and buy shite like stones, bravo, fellaini, Depay and so on.

All these average Players going for stupid money, Rooney is the name that could generate loads of cash for us and for them.

The scenario I meant. It's like something someone would pull out of their ass. Silly money, China, AVB, and the player is perfectly fine with it apparently.

Almost couldn't make it up.

Why is there always a meltdown by football fans whenever Chelsea make a sale?

Chelsea aren't doing anything, the Chinese clubs are just shit at buying players.

If they had a brain, they'd try to negotiate a much smaller fee for a player who's barely featured this season.

It wouldn't be that surprising given the deals they've got for Luiz, Ramires and [to a lesser extent] Mata in the last few years.

Clearly some high level corruption involved if it does go ahead though, that's mental money for Oscar.

Because we are giving our players for free while they get huge amounts for average/solid players.....

£60m, really? Surely £50m would have been enough to convince Chelsea. How do these Chinese jokers negotiate?

They've wanted him for a while now. I remember rumors over the past couple of transfer windows of them bidding silly money. Now they have AVB and Hulk they probably see Oscar as the big "superstar" to top it off.

Christ, his body looks look that creepy beast from Pan's Labyrinth.

£60m? Jesus. Even the producers of Chicago paid less for their Oscar.

This is the type of bid, where on FM your chariman intervenes and automatically accepts the offer.

Career over at 25. Not that I blame him.
I was thinking this. When he's old and his grandkids ask about his career I wonder what he'll think?

I made a feck load of money, I guess.

They've been taking lessons from Ed.

A £30m bid would have probably been enough. This deal just seems so fecking dodgy. Oscar is a fraudster himself, so maybe Chelsea are into some elaborate fraud also

Rooney's sheer marketability is bigger than Pelle, Oscar, Ramires, Lavezzi etc combined. We should sell him for 150 mil and threw Fellaini in too for 50 mil or so - they'd make their money back in a month selling wigs.

Feels like cheating :(

Matt Law reckons its been accepted now. £350k a week he will get.

There is nothing fishy about this sale at all. Annoying when people cant accept some clubs will pay silly fees for players. Especially the Chinese who also paid 50 odd mil for Hulk. Teixeira was £40m ish. Its just the Chinese throwing money at attempts to improve their league and reputation.

Further enhances Conte's budget for Jan. Can see them going balls deep for Nainggolan and a CB

Never rated him, he's bang average. I remember some on here used to be fawning about him. Anyhow, stupid move considering he's quite young and could easily get another decent enough European club.

Ridiculous amount of cash being thrown about over there. Perhaps they might be interested in Sissoko for a bargain £50,000,000?

The Chinese tend to buy players for huge money that have either been top players or have been at top clubs, he's shite and so are his two previous clubs.
