A couple of years ago I was involved in a poll and the Caf did it for me too. It's the best
Havent laughed as much in years. Some of the posts in this thread are hilarious, you clever bastards.
Dawn wants to donate the painting and get it raffled/sold to generate some money for a charity up there. She is going to speak to the organisers today to see what they can do.
She will donate a cash value to charity too
Any suggestions of a good charity that works with children or community groups?

Has she definitely won then? Is she delighted?
Has she read the standing orders?Dont know and not at all.
She got a text from organiser saying the poll is closed and result will be announced on Wednesday.
Genuinely she is all about the art and this voting competition tainted her memory of the whole experience of being up there just painting.
The day she found out about the other one getting tweets from politicians really killed any resonance of anything to do with the art

have you noticed any change in her yet? has she stopped trying to hide her feelings of superiority around you? does she scoff at the clothes you wear now, saying how the colours are off but you wouldn’t understand art and colour like she does? has she started coming home in the early hours of the morning, smelling like art galleries and those long thin things people smoke cigarettes through? does she walk through other people’s houses, tutting at their objet d’arts? does she look at a new social media post and titter and dryly inform you that you wouldn’t understand?

Does she know a bot won it for her against the politician tweet?Dont know and not at all.

It’s a crap experience all around after what seems a nice local paint competition, I feel for your wife in all honesty, would have been better judged on the day to feel atleast a little sense of achievement for a great painting. She knows that the Caf made it happen. She told me multiple times to stop it.
She did have whopping support from people all over the world. The poll was being shared in SA, Australia, USA etc but she still wouldnt have got near the duffster
Regardless of what happened with voting shenanigans of various kinds, Dawn's picture is the best and she is a deserved winner. Hope this hasn't affected her passion for her hobby, or her desire to participate in future competitions (because this thread has been an absolute joy).
She's just arrived in the kitchen wearing a Poloneck
Turps.I voted once @McGrathsipan but I feel dirty for doing it how do I wash this off
Frank 6l already the pain won't go awayTurps.
I'm in tears was in this thread days ago, voted, left and just caught up with the last 20 pages. Surely thread of the year this. What an absolute cnut Duffy is. Imagine begging for votes and getting politicians to try and influence the voting in a fecking 'amateur' art competition. Absolutely hilarious.
@McGrathsipan the best painting won though, so hope your wife can look beyond the vote rigging and enjoy the win.
@mods this has to go in the classics
Cry some more biatches. The Cafe (and Dawn) won.
Reported.
Can we also upvote one of the others so Duffy doesn't even get in the top 2?
A bot could easily set up 1000s of email addresses for the purposes of rigging your competition.
