ooh, Batman's on ITV

Stop the press! Who's that!?

Vicky Vale! Vicky Vale!

Kim looked the part, she just wasn't a very good actress, but then she didn't really need to be.

Do we even know if there will be a 3rd Nolan one?....I'm not so sure he'll do it...He's a clever enough bloke to know topping Dark Knight for hype and success will be nigh on impossible. The difficult 3rd album syndrome ...I think he'll leave it to someone else to feck up, who'll bring in Robin and then it'll die again like it did under Schumacher. bat nipples an all... I reckons

They really shouldn't of used the last 1/4 of DK to do what they did with Two Face...it wasn't needed and was the perfect segway into 3

touché but you know what I mean.

I'd be happiest if they cast as little known an actress as possible. Same goes for whichever villains are in the next one.

I can see him doing it, but it might be titled Batman Ends. For monetary reasons alone it's a no brainer, and he has a very interesting plot line now to go with from the ending of The Dark Knight.

They ended it with a clear line into a 3rd for sure..I'm just not sure he'll do it....The 3rd in a trilogy is always the shitter, especially when they're written off the cuff and not as an all encompassing story... However I'd agree the best way would be to End on and proper definitive ending. If he killed off the character (if not necessarily Bruce himself) he could justify it. If he did that it'd be a big deal plot wise and something great to work with, and would ensure it remained it's own self contained Batman franchise and couldn't be fecked up by some other gimp the way Burton's were.

I don't see how they can bring in many of the villains from the comics and so on into this new serious batman. Penguin would be too ridiculous and people like Manbat and Clayface would be just terrible.

Riddler would work if done properly, Harley would be easy to bring in and i think Bane could work as well if they toned down his size a little.

I agree, it has to be done like that IMO, leaving it open-ended would not be a good thing. I doubt that Bale or Freeman or even Caine would do another one if Nolan wasn't involved.

Bale has said that he'd only do a third one if Nolan was involved iirc.

They should take their time with the third, wait until Bales an old man having to return to save Gotham whilst its in epic decay... reminscent and staying true to Frank Millers comic 'The dark Knight returns'.

The likes of penguin etc would be shit.. needs to be somone more dangerous and hardcore than the Joker..good luck with that.

Completely...Thing is, if he does it, there will be other Batman films after. That's a certainty. It's too big a franchise culturally and cinematically to not be done. It may take 20 years, but it will be done, so he needs to stamp his authority on these ones and make sure they end. Killing off the character would work I reckon. I think he needs to do it really, it'll probably upset the fan boys though, but it'll give the trilogy a proper arch...I agree, it's the only way to do it

Good idea, it might work, but then it risks doing a Godfather III and being a bit out of sync. I think he needs to do this one soon-ish, make it the definitive Nolan batman series and then let someone else do something different with it later without tainting these ones....cos it will be done otherwise, it's unavoidable

And as for the villians, yeah it's a problem. you can't have anyone too supernatural and you can't just do a re-hash of the joker (which the riddler would probably be) so it'd have to be Catwoman or a periphery one

Give Bale grey hair and make him look like Jose.. doesn't necessarily have to be ten/fifteen years down the line in real life.

Truly ain't got a clue when it comes to the villian, they peaked with Ledger.

Why on earth are people saying that using the penguin would be ridiculous?

Originally the penguin was Oswald copplepot an underworld mob boss. Tom nurton bastardized the character by making him a fecking mutant.

A source material version of the character could and most probsbly will work very well within the Nolan universe.

He was indeed a mob boss, he was also not insane just ruthless. Although he wasn't called the penguin for nothing. He was obsessed with birds and even modified penguins to do his bidding. He also had high tech umbrellas that could do a varity of things such as shoot bullets, release nerve gas or keep him dry on a particularly damp evening.

Now he would be a decent character if he was just a mob boss, but he's not a Kingpin character. He's a short fat bloke that has funny umbrellas, now how would that not come across as ridiculous in these new "serious" batman films.

Why can't they come up with an original villain?

It would probably work and be all the better for it as people wouldn't know what to expect.

I don't think that you would need to. The Riddler done right would work very well.

Absolutely right. The riddler if written and acted right could be very interesting.

People need to forget what jim carrey did in batman forever, that performance was about as far from faithful to the source as you could have got.

The riddler is a dark, super intelligent, OCD suffering SOB.

Wasnt Eddie Murphy linked to the role of the Riddler a couple of months ago?

Yes he was mate. Warner bros released a statement strongly denying it.

There is more chance of Weaste playing the riddler than eddie fecking murphy.

It's very cliche, but Depp could potentially do a very good Riddler.

How about two villains. Daniel Day Lewis as Deadshot, hired to kill Batman (by the new mob?) and Johnny Depp as the Riddler. That would be amazing.

Vicky Vale! Vicky Vale!

Vicki Vale, Vick-uh Vicki Vale, Vickity Vale!

I think if they hadn't gone and killed Two-Face at the end of the last one the plot for a third film would be pretty straightforward. Mockers, I'm a Batman fanboy and I wouldn't have a problem with him being killed in the third movie, as long as it was done properly.

It's too much like the joker....lanky social outcast with chaotic personality....It would fail to live up to Heath, and be compared. They have to move away from that

I to am a Batman fanboy but i would hate it if they killed Batman off.

Killing Bruce Wayne off made me boycott the comics.

Some things just shouldn't be fecked with IMO.

On a side note the stunner from Chuck would be more than welcome as VV.

I think its pretty much sewn on the sleeve that the Riddler will be in the next Nolan helmed movie (He is returning guys).

I think we will see something completely different from the Riddler.

Can't remember what the examples were, but I recall reading that there were lots of geeky links to the Riddler in Dark Knight. Almost certain to be him.
