The fact I have to google the spelling every time I want to use his name! It's hardly a spell as it sounds name!

English isn't a spell as it sounds language, that's your problem actually. You spell his name as it sounds, you just have to forget English spelling and pronunciation conventions. His name is actually simpler than Rooney's, for example, or Cleverley's. Or Scholes, just think of that name. Based on how you pronounce it you could easily spell it Skohls. Why not?

I get your point, but I disagree. Janu is fine to remember, its the zaj bit that screws you up!

I clicked on the thread thinking it'll be "New season is beginning. Football. Yaaaaay!"

Instead, it is more like "We haven't signed Messi. Hence United sucks"

So how do we think the transfer window will turn out, which half of our moaning fans will win, will it be the where are our signings brigade saying I told you so after we end up with no transfers or 2nd class transfers, or will it be the moaning fans who moan about the moaning fans saying well look what we have now, didn't I tell you.

Being in the first group myself, I'm happy to fall back to the anti moaning at moaners told you so with a but if we had signed them sooner we would have had better pre-season training. Then the moaners who moan at the moaners will have to wait all season for the next chance to say I told you say if we win the league, and the moaners will say, but we could have won everything with a proper pre-season. And before you know it we are back round to another session moaning in pre-season.

Don't you just love to moan!!

It might not be long till the new season but we've still got a fair bit of time to conclude business in.

Given the difficulty of our start to the season, I don't think this is a summer where we should be allowing transfers to run right up until the deadline. There's a lot of vital points at stake from the very beginning.

Everything so far points to a potentially fractious start to our season.

Good point. Will give Chelsea a great lift if we're to have a bumpy start to the season. And if we go in with our current midfield a tough opening run could cause us problems.

17 days, hey? Well one lesson Moyes hasn't learnt from SAF is to do business early. Suppose he's getting to know the 30 or 50 new players he's got. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't sign anyone until January.

37 days* or something.

Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea and more have all still to do their most important business. Although I'm quite enjoying seeing people lose their heads over some transfers.

I'd be surprised and very annoyed. You don't go forward by standing still.

Everything's gone so quiet on the transfer front at United. We need to get things moving.

I'm starting to get rather nervous.

Its might be required. From the pool of United's players, he needs to build his own team. He might see weaknesses during pre-season or it might take him longer. It might also depend on how much advice Moyes takes on aboard from others at United.

It simply shouldn't be.

If we go into the new season failing to make any significant signings then I worry for us.

It might be quiet but I'm sure things are happening behind the scenes. It was quite uncomfortable and chaotic when our transfer info was being leaked left, right and centre last week. Most of Moyes' targets so far have been spot on imo (Thiago, Cesc) so it at least assures me that he knows the standard of quality that our midfield needs.

A day or two without being in the headlines could be no harm.

Both good points but I'll choose to ignore them in favour of blind panic thanks.

That would be a huge mistake. Even ignoring the deficiencies in our squad (that Moyes himself has recognised), or ignoring the fact that our rivals have strengthened, it's never a good idea to leave your squad unchanged imo. Even the best squad goes slightly stale without regular injections of new blood and quality. If we don't add players this transfer window then I genuinely don't see us winning the title this year, despite probably still having the best squad. Still, I'm fairly confident we will have a few new arrivals so it's all good.

How can you go a whole summer with signing no one. Deep down i know this would happen i remember it happening for him at Everton then he went and brought panic buys in January. This is not Everton Moyes fix up.
