We don’t need to replace Onana, he’s had a decent season. We have other positions that we need to prioritise

Have you watched Schmeichel's last season? He made more errors than Onana.

Yeh, but he was also suffering a crisis in confidence and felt he wasn't able to be the keeper a world class United needed. So it's not a great argument to use....being better than someone who had started to question their ability and decided they weren't good enough.

He is a bozzo keeper, he thinks he is better than he is and lacks intelligence to keep it simple

Stop being hysterical. He's been mostly good for a year now and has been our best player this season.

He is back to costing us games so I dont see why we cannot talk about it.

One game is a lapse, several is a trend. Let's hope its just this one.

Feck off.

You're not taking this well, are you?

If you're serious then that's pretty embarrassing for you.

feckers can’t wait to jump in here, sad.
It was a joke you fools! Why does no one get sarcasm?!

He is shit though. (That’s a joke too)

Never bought into him. Too clumsy too dumb of a keeper. He always has these mistakes in him.

Because we see posters on here giving themselves nice big pats on the back every week after a player they don't like has a bad game. Why would anybody think this one is any different?

That was the intended parody. Nevermind, my satire is wasted on you lot and the mods don’t have a sense of humour either.

Weird comment. Actually think his mentality is quite level-headed from his interviews - shows a willingness to take responsibility, grow, etc.

He does make some mistakes, but not as many as some on here would have you believe. One of the top keepers in the league right now - pleased we have him.

One dodgy performance after saving us from defeat at Ipswich and preventing a thrashing at Arsenal. Come on guys.

Unless it starts being a common recurrence again it doesn't warrant such a reaction, keepers even the good ones tend to make big mistakes from time to time.

Even though he's done well this season, if you're letting goals like that in you're simply not a top gk. It's as simple as that. However, where we at and who we need to replace and get in he isn't top priority, so he can still do a job for us at the moment. But eventually if we want to win a title and cl title; he will need replacing.

He's been good this season so far but no professional keeper let's that kind of a goal in.
He has some serious clangers in him, a serious keeper can't make mistakes like that

Just another goal for the absolute clangers video that must be quite lengthy.

People do forget that De Gea had an absolutely sky high list of mistakes himself, but we were sold the dream that Onana's ball playing would be a significant upgrade.
Not sure anyone could really argue we've done anything but make a neutral change here.

I hope it's a one-off because he has been very good with his shot-stopping recently. Just a really shit time to concede too.

Please let's not repeat last season.

He was garbage today, but he's mostly been very good this season. Conceding a goal that's basically doing down the middle is unforgivable, though.

Should be coming off the line for crosses, not looking like a deer in headlights every time a ball flies over his box. Someone should tell him the world isn't going to end if he moves.

He always looks like he's paralysed from fear.

He's been great for most of this season, but I just feel he's like Barthez where you know there's an absolute calamity of a performance happening somewhere down the line. All goalkeepers make mistakes but some you just don't feel entirely safe with ever.

He's a good but error prone keeper, you know the type. The number of goals conceded purely due to his mistakes since he joined has to be 10+ at this point.

His clangers are comically bad. Especially last season in the CL.

The second goal was something horrific, it came through the middle straight at him and managed to dodge the ball last second. Anyway I really don't rate him and think you overpaid for him but he's the least of your problems right now.

He's had a good season and he has massively improved since he first came in, but he will make 4 or 5 of those mistakes a season. The question is whether we can reconcile ourselves to that fact, or whether we want to try another new keeper.
