JR = Jeremy Roenick - again not sure of the spelling. Hasek is a quality Goalkeeper or tender whatever you want to call it. Scott Stevens also rocks! i think he canadian though.

As I said erlier we had no chance against you, congratiolations. :)

Now we´ll beat USA.

Do you reckon we´ll beat them Jac ?
well, if only your forwards can go to the net hard and wind up jack johnson early on, AND if Tuukka Rask plays like Justin Pogge did for team Canada, the bronze medal will be yours.

oh.. and i'll be cheering for the finns, GO RASK!!!

Jeremy Roenick was left off on the US roster going to Turin. Not sure why but they didn't pick Brian Leetch one of their best Dmen, so no surprise

Scott Stevens - yes he's canadian, but we've got more than enough supreb, *and younger* defencemen on our squad.

When you allow 2 gays to marry, that means they are allowed to adopt chidlren. What consequences will it have to the development of the child? This is like a murder.

Nice to see Finland win the Bronze medal game 4-2... What was that chant I heard the Canadian fans singing towards the USA? That's it "Over rated", for a gold medal winning squad, which is what they were touted to be, they sure have proved they weren't that good.

Tonights match is going to be interesting. Russia has been quite hot so far in this tourny, and it wouldn't suprise me to see them win, but the Candian's are are home... Pogge has to stand on his head tonight to give the home team a chance me thinks....

i'll be watching the game, i'm so excited... reminds me of 3 years ago(2003) when the canadian last took on the russians.. finland won the bronze that year also... same in 2002...hope history won't repeat itself :p

Russian players are great. They seem to fly on the ice. Their passing game is marvelous, they know how to play physical and hit players.

I hope they win

HURRRRRAY!!!! CANADA RULES. The gold medal stays where it belongs!

to be fair, it should've been a 5-1 victory instead of 5-0, blame the international rules if you wish. Justin Pogge, told ya he's good. a new shutout record.

Tuukka Rask(Finland) was the top Goalie of the tournament, deserved it, *although to be fair, Pogge was outstanding also.* anyways...53 saves and a shutout against the swedes, unbelievable. and he's the reason why the finns could defeat the Americans.
Marc Staal(Canada) the top defender of the tournament, 2 consecutive extraordinary defensive plays against the Finns and the Russians.
Malkin(Russia) the top offensive player of the tournament, top scorer in the toury.

Brent Sutter as the Canadian head coach's now 12-0

now off to Turin! :) GO CANADA!

Third and humiliating Sweden no the way, good result for us.

The yanks were somewhat thick yesterday, taking a penalty in the last minute when they needed to score. When will they fecking learn that it is passé, old school, to try to outpower and scare the opposition.

Very impressive performance from Rask. Finns have top young goalies for the future. Lehtonen, Toivonen and Rask. :)
Lehtonen is my favourite.

Dont forget Mika Noronen, he isnt that old either.

dirty players? look at Jack Johnson

Canada were lucky the ref were on their side with north-american type of decisions. International tournement are not NHL type hockey :nono:

The refs controlled the game from the beginning, they broke the confidence of russian players when they went to the video for that famous goal. They should have given the goal or not go to the video. This incident was running on russian minds and it proved to be the turning point.

Canada are brainless lumberjacks...
