Spurs and Atalanta would usually be bread and butter games for us with City being the real test. However, under Ole I wouldn't be surprised if we lost to Spurs and Atalanta but beat City and that's part of the problem.
If anything gets on my nerves its posts like this, the honour and politeness police.
Why oh why do we need to surpress what we feel or react to whats so obvious and outrageous only to appear polite?
Like I get more broadly its a British thing culturally but who else does that? Even other British clubs dont do it anymore.

I think a season or two ago that would have been true, but his lucks well and truly run out now. I fully expect a spanking from City, as well as dropping points against the other two. We're in Moyes rock bottom territory now, amazing if the club feels this is sustainable.

Maybe the last two seasons I'd agree with that but after losing 5-0 at home to Liverpool I don't think we can talk about the cliche of Ole being good in the bigger games and getting a win when he really needs it.

Shaw made four mistakes that led to four goals, of which Maguire was also partially to blame. Before their first goal, Bruno should have buries his chance. A chance that was the result of high press and incisive passing.

I think this is the same feeling for me and I've supported Utd from Tommy Doc days so well used to the tough times in the 80s when we changed managers and bought unsuitable strikers ( mostly from Forest ! ) trying to find the magic formula. In those days matches against Liverpool were filled with over-optimistic thoughts with the reality we were going to get battered but how many times did we "game raise" and get the crowd behind us to win a fair number of matches ?
That yesterday was different - a vastly improved squad of player capable of mounting a decent challenge for the title but totally outplayed and more alarming totally out-coached. A humiliating home defeat against our fiercest rivals - total embarrassment !
It was so obvious Ole has reacted to criticism by asking his forwards to "try some pressing stuff" and it was amateurish watching us trying to pull it off and then watch our shocking defenders get pulled apart. Maguire has no right to be playing in the side right now and it's a joke he's still captain - blast from the past but if that was Kevin Moran with Luke Shaw in his way the ball would have gone in the stands with Shaw as well.
I want Ole gone now but I still think they will give him until the City match to show some response with at least 4 points from these matches and if we lose those 2 matches he will be gone and it gives us chance to talk to potential caretakers over the next 2 weeks for the rest of the season. Then we should go for a F/T manager in the summer.

Well if you cast your memory back a bit further than a couple of months ago, he actually did alright for a couple of seasons and the board will probably have half a mind on the fact he dug United out of a shit show post Mourinho and the fact we’re relevant again now is because of him, so there’s your credit.
Wether we agree or not that it’s the correct thing to do, he’ll still be here for the City and Arsenal games and we’ll have to suffer more of the same unfortunately.

With the international break it’s essentially four weeks to find/decide upon a replacement. We’re not gonna learn anything new about Solskjaer in those three games, although we might make things worse for us in terms of league and CL positions.

Possibly. In a way we need to consider the next manager very carefully. We know ole isn't up to it or move us to the next level. wanted him gone after the europa league final. So maybe taking a few weeks seems sensible. 2 weeks plus international break to go. Going to be more pain I'm afraid. We need to salvage something this season. Top 4 (ffs) and a run in the ucl. And positive results with positive performances for once.

I don't think anyone can accuse you of wumming mate, it's an undeniable fact. Competent owners/board would have sacked him after the Europa League final.
Competency would be not hiring him full time in the first place.
It's because the bottom line (CL qualification) is all that matters and trophies are irrelevant. Woodward has even publicly admitted this. Heck so has Ole.
