The season is over before its started. Out of one cup, out of the title race (with Ole in charge-another manager, please not Brendan, might get us back in the hunt) two tough games in the CL…what is the point in waiting? Sack him before we lose further ground
That window has come and gone with Conte moving to Spurs.

Conte as caretaker until season end and then going all in for Ten Hag or something like this made far too much sense. But since its United we're talking about the easiest decisions are often the hardest.

The board is a complete and utter joke.

Rodgers is not good enough, we missed out on Conte, and Ole is terrible. I think best solution is to get a caretaker until the end of the season then go for Ten hag or Poch (preferably Ten hag), all this would’ve been avoided if they went for Conte after the loss to Liverpool. Absolute joke of a board.

No matter how much our fanbase bangs the caretaker/interim drum they aren't going to appoint one this time

Why isn't anyone talking about Arsene Wenger? Look at Arsenal without him. Top class manager playing beautiful football. He said he wants to manage Utd previously and can come in as an interim. The players, the fans and oppositions (except Mou) will respect him. The owners will love him because he keeps his mouth shut against incompetent owners. He is also Fergie's friend and therefore ticks all the boxes. Look what he managed with players like Bendtner, Giroud... his one touch football will work so well with Jadon, Lingard, Pogba, Donny, Bruno, Rashford, Martial, CR etc

Kevin De Bruyne: "The day before a game we usually train tactically, based on how the opponent play. Before Man United, Pep said: 'We don't know how they are going to play. We shall see'. And we stopped training after 10 minutes of so ........

To be fair to Pep, they did resume training when the ref blew the whistle

The board are hopeless but even if they weren't what makes you think they'd have been able to convince Conte to be just a caretaker?

Mate you seriously need to stop calling him a clown, I'm Ole out aswell but this just isn't on. Mods need to start doing something about this because it's constant and not necessary no matter how angry any of us are at the situation.

This is just crazy, how much longer are we going to be kept in the dark about what we're doing? I get that IF they are trying to move on from Ole they need to have a replacement in place, but this is taking far too long. Manager on holiday, players not training... What a club.

I suppose we're now seeing the downside to having a successful manager for 26 years, what with the noisy ex players running their mouths, jobs for the boys and antiquated club culture, and Ferguson protecting an incompetent manager because they're close.

Like with everything in the universe, for every action there's an equal and opposite reaction. We couldn't have over 20 years of continual success with no negative consequences. 8 years and counting so far... I just hope we get our act together a lot sooner than it took Liverpool after they fell off their perch.

As a well behaved member of this forum, I am all for keeping standards. But the only problem is that this standard seems to be only applicable in Ole’s case. I am one of them who got banned for 3 days for comparing Ole’s managerial abilities to that of a P. E . Teacher (amazing isn’t it? and more Childish and RAWKish act from mods).

Why the double standard? Why no one got banned or at least reminded of standards when Rooney, Pogba, Neville, Fred, Fellaini, Jones, Mourinho, LVG, Moyes, etc. etc..ect.. (I can go on and on and on) where called all sorts of names, I mean real bad words like c’nut, twat and worse? The so called abuse Ole is getting now is not even 10% of what former (and current) players and managers used to get.

The mods and Ole lovers has a problem with Clown, Fraud and P. E. Teacher (:lol:). But they are okay with c’nut, twat and worse.

@Sultan.

@sepulturite Mate, again, I am all for keeping standards and I am one of the members who stays away from name calling and abuse. But I am very curious now, could you please show me few instances where you raised your voice against those who abused our former (or current) players and managers? Thank you.
@Rightnr
Well I haven't been on the forum for very long and I barely post anyway, the only reason why I felt the need to say something is because that particular poster has been calling Ole a clown in nearly every post I've seen him make in here, it was getting a bit tiresome that's all.

And if I had been active on this forum back when our former players and managers were getting called every name under the sun then I would've said the same thing.

We can criticise performances without the name calling is all I was really getting at.

You know things are bad when all my non man utd friends are saying the Irish Manager, Stephen Kenny is better manager then Ole, actually has a style of football that he sticks to :)

Maybe that word is a bit harsh but I am desperate for something to be done because this constant dithering is driving me right up the wall, the thought of him still in charge against Watford next Saturday makes me feel so fed up and certainly not in the least bit interested in winning the game.
Yeh I hear you mate, I'm exactly the same, it's getting infuriating. It's time for a change, I just wish the board could see what all us fans are clearly seeing!

If this true (it's so hard to tell these days when news are legitimate), then it's pretty telling. No identity, no philosophy and as a result we cannot really move forward.

I think I remember you calling Jose with some fancy words  . If I remember correctly, we had few exchanges during Jose era :smirk:.

To the point; as I said, I was banned for 3 days for comparing Ole’s managerial abilities to that of a P. E. Teacher. With this yard stick, and if there was no favouritism from mods, about half of caf would be permanently banned imo.
Could be! I never warmed to Mourinho whether before, during or after his time at United. But at least he wasn't handled with kid gloves and one always felt there were expectations. With Ole now we just seem to have settled for mediocrity as you know he gets us, which is more important than winning.

My word.

It's obvious that we have no idea what we are doing so Pep would have no idea either.

I agree. I tend to stay clear of abusing players or managers although I must have slipped up at some point but Mourinho, LVG Moyes and loads of our players get called all sorts of things, without repercussion. Some mods are obviously hyper sensitive when it comes to their favourite Ole.
People aren't really offended on Ole's behalf because he was called a clown. It's just deflection tactics.

What are the chances that Rangers activate Ole's release clause and free us of this trauma?

Fair enough mate.

Name calling and abuse must be stopped. All I am saying is that Ole is getting a very special treatment; from the board, from the 92 mates, from some of the caf mods and from some fans as well.

And, I don’t know how one can relate words like Fraud, P. E Teacher, Clown, etc., as abusive as long as these words are used to describe Ole’s managerial abilities (not directed at him personally). In terms of the way we play and the way we conduct as a team, yes we are a circus now and Ole, the manager, is one of the Clowns in that circus. I respect Ole as a player and I also believe that he is a fine human being.

Decided to take a short getaway for a few days to clear my mind off this farce and because there’s no football this weekend anyway. Visited the capital and we enjoyed the cuisine at a few famous spots and also visited a few pubs in between and also did a bit of shopping for souvenirs for some friends back home and we definitely enjoyed the boutique hotel that we stayed at and WHY IS OLE NOT SACKED YET??

Ole is doing exactly what you did. The board is probably doing the same.

The board and owner thought united fans are fickle minded.
They thought every bad feelings will be blown over once the International break is over.
Trying so hard to cocoon these useless noobs.

Watford will give them a shellshock.

Heard an Everton fan on the radio mocking us by saying the only manager he would hate more managing them than Benitez, is Ole.

We’re a constant joke at this point, and rival fans continuing to sing Ole’s name and hope he is not sacked is showing how far we have fallen.

We’re barely better off at this point than we were when he took over, the difference now is we have the squad to do something and need a manager with the ability to get them playing that way.

It’s a ridiculous notion. What I would say though is that Fergie recommended Ole and Phelan, and is pushing like hell to keep them, because he would love it that little bit more if it was his apprentices that did it.
That would no doubt be the same story for 99.9% of us in fairness.

For interim they were initially looking at Bruce, but ended up with Ole. Maybe SAF recommended Ole, let’s be fair Ole worked out as an interim. I agree SAF probably pushed for Phelan to come back and was a good decision.

What went wrong was when our board reacted to fan and pundit pressure and abandoned their poch plan to give Ole the job permanently

I do find this still extremely hard to comprehend. Imagine doing shit at your job, and getting a weeks holiday. The players and the manager should be working harder than ever right now.
Sancho learning how to play RWB on Fifa.

I think Ole justified his vacation to the board by saying "too much water, kills plants" in a Mr Miyagi way.

A couple of years after SAF left I was visiting Liverpool and chatting to a scouse taxi driver, remember him saying "it'll soon be 20 years since you won a title, it comes around quickly". I so badly wanted him to be wrong but we're nearly half way there already

We actually have a squad that could win it within the next 3 years but without a top class/world class manager we will waste this group of players.
