.Played for penalties with one of the worst keepers at saving them. Yeah that makes sense. And of course made no subs against the team that freshened half of their team. Utterly clueless. Paralysed by fear. Klopp takes Salah and Mane off and replaces them with inferior players. Why? Because he sees it’s not happening and he’s trying something different. It’s called proactive management. But never mind that, Ole wasn’t even reactive in that game. And half the opposition team were fresh. It just beggars belief. And now we have the ultimate irony of Pep also making no subs. In a Manchester derby. At Old Trafford. Not because he was paralysed by fear but because he simply didn’t need to, cause none of his players were even tired. They literally only worked for half the game. The second half was a training session against the under 23s. Embarrassing. Do we have no pride? We talk about United DNA, well that’s one of the most shameful performances I think I’ve ever witnessed. I’ve seen us been beaten and chasing shadows against Barca. But was prime Barcelona and they were simply better than us. Nothing like yesterday. We have the players. We just don’t have the coaches or manager. Hopefully tomorrow that will become permanent.
It maybe a crazy idea but as he is local maybe Pep could come and coach us in the afternoons and evenings.

I'd argue Ole had the far tougher test with Villareal and Emery than an very young but talented Ajax side and lost on penalties, its a lottery at that point.
Thing you miss though is, Jose finished a whopping 19 pts off City, that is not a challenge at all.
Again, after showing season on season improvement and finishing runners up with a final it was completely acceptable he continued into this season.

Mate, in my case, I don’t remember directly calling ole a P E Teacher. But I did compare his managerial qualities to that of a P E Teacher. I was clearly referring to Ole the Manager. How is this an insult on Ole, the player? His failure as a coach has nothing to do with him being a club legend as a player.
Also, managers like LVG and Jose also deserves respect. They have done a lot to the world of football and are legends of football. Players like Lukaku, Fellaini, etc. also deserved respect. They were called real bad names, remember? Didn’t see any moral values being kept or words being auto-edited at that time.

Every single oppo pundit can see he's the problem and they're loving every single minute of it. Shearer, Richards, Owen, Carragher, Murphy. The list goes on. So why can't United?

Tougher or not, at the end of the day - Jose won it, Ole bottled it. They don't give you places for facing tougher opponents. You either win the competition or you don't.
That's unfair to Jose because City had a freak season that year finishing with 100 points. I f I remember correctly, the first team to do so. In contrast, in the last season when Ole finished second, City finished with 86 points. What's baffling about all of this is that after Jose finished 2nd instead of giving him reinforcements, the clown board told him to deal with what he's got. And then the idiots decided to splash 500 million on Ole whose yet to achieve anything of note. His second place was done with 74 points. That wouldn't even get you in top 4 in most seasons. In Jose's 2nd season Liverpool, who finished 4th, had 75 points, so in Ole's best season he wouldn't even finish in the top 4th in Mourinho's second season. It's utterly insane when you think about it, but it says all about what competition Ole has had to deal with. In the previous season he got into top 4 with 66 points.
Norwich have higher standards.
I've also noticed that Ole's name is now being dragged through the mud. The board need to do the right thing and put him out of his misery.

Since pur humiliation to Liverpool at our own home, 3 managers has been sacked, Ole is not one of them. FFS.

It wasn't the following season it was 2 years later and the squad had matured a lot by then and also changed a lot.
With buys / sales - they made nearly 70 transfers in a 2 year period of the EL final and the CL semi final appearance.
Quite a lot of new faces in the CL team compared to the EL final team.

I actually want these teams to go above us as it might ram home the point to the board that this simply isn’t working anymore and cannot continue.
Let's stop defending Ole at this point. He knows what he is doing. If he had any care for the club, he would have realized he is is simply not good enough and dragging the club down with ih. But he obviously cares more for himself than the club. He has no one to blame but himself for his name being dragged through the mud. Better men would have resigned and have been remembered far more noble despite their short-fallings. Ole seems intent to be dragged out kicking and screaming.

They told Jose that he could not have Maguire for £45M. The following year they bought Ole, the same player for £80M.
It's like when Fellaini was bought, above his release clause.

Let's also not forget that since Ole and his coaches arrived, our players have not improved.

Arsenal - Who had one of the hardest and worst starts out of the ’Top 6’ or so, are now ahead of United who had one of the easiest starts to fixtures.
Truly appalling run of results and performances.
Trailing Arteta's Arsenal is some accomplishment.
If 2 of the most humiliating defeats of the PL era in the space of 2 weeks against your fiercest rivals aren't enough to hammer home that it's not working, I doubt arsenal being above us in the league will.

I really like Ole as a player/person and thank him for everything he's done for the club, but this is just unbearable now a change is needed, surly Keano/ Scolesy could come and coach the midfield players into some kind of effective unit, saying that the defence don't know what they're doing either. Its a shambles.
Desperate times. It’s starting to look like getting sucked into a relegation battle is the only way the board will get rid of Ole.
