Aaaaaahhhhhh…. The negativity…. Bathe in it. Revel in it.

I have switched to Ole out since the Leicester debacle, but I can’t support this kind of crap. People openly hoping we shit the bed vs Atalanta and City. The hyperbole in these posts is just alarming. Ole isn’t the long term solution for us, but I’d rather have him than half the managers in the league. Absolutely no nuance allowed here in the Caf. No gray area. You either are 100% for Ole or you are 100% for sacking him immediately and kicking him in the balls as he leaves.

If you want to call me a Top Red for injecting some common sense into this thread, so be it.
So Ole is not a long term solution (which is obvious for multiple years now) but instead of not wasting any more time with him which we did plenty of already, we should give him more time and money because, you know, he is not THE worst manager in the league  And then the same people call us the biggest club in the world even though our expectations from the manager are like some relegation fodders.

Any United fan talking about nuance after being smashed 5-0 in 50 minutes (could have been double figures if they kept going) at home by Liverpool and no trophy after 3 years of management is either deluded, a wum or a troll.

Absolutely ridiculous lack of standards and understanding of the level we should be competing at. You are exactly the reason why the Glazers can play around with United and feel they'd never catch any heat like at Barcelona or Real.

Well said.

With Conte joining Spurs, that now means that all of the current managers at the traditional 'Top 6' clubs in the division, all have at least one of the following trophies on their managerial CV's:
- Champions League
- Premier League
- FA Cup
- League Cup

...oh apart from Ole!!
But we have energy, passion and desire.

So we're actually choosing to basically operate with a manager on a game by game basis but wouldn't pull the plug for one of the best current coaches in the world because they are only worried about the long term?

Does anyone else see how that doesn't make any sense? "Hey guys the long term only matters (that way we can always talk about the future and trick fans into thinking we care about winning) but our manager is hanging on by a thread depending on the outcome of each game"

It literally makes no sense. The fact that they gave him 3 games, shows how out of touch they are. Because sacking him because he is losing/winning these 3 games, is just so random. If they want to sack him, it should be because he is inept tactically and his team shows zero signs of coaching or long term plan. What exactly will he prove in these 3 games? They are just hoping Ole manages to win a game or two, so that the pressure will go away, and they dont have to remove their yes man and lose some money in the process.

Its absolute shambles. If negative results come our way now this season, and we are stuck with Solskjaer because there are no good replacements, it will be absolutely deserved. We have literally thrown this season away.

What makes me upset is that for the first time in many years we have a squad capable of winning things. And this squad will not stay forever. We have a 1-2 year window at max, because Ronaldo, Cavani and Pogba might leave at the end of the season. And we are wasting it on the worst manager in the league. And we said no to Conte, one of the only managers in the world who was available and someone who can go toe to toe with Pep/Klopp, because he's not a yes man. There are a couple of others(Enrique, Zidane), but none of those are available/interested. Basically we fecked it up royally. And this has set us back years.

Well that's fitting since Manchester United aren't exactly in the trophy winning business anymore

Yeah, but Ole has the United DNA, and is part of a "cultural reboot", which is the equivalent of trophy. Also he can lick the Glazers boot clean he understands the United way. Conte cannot do any of that tbh.

Well, I can tell you what I've not been doing - buying anything from Glazers Inc, including this year.

Generally though, it's this total pathetic attitude that permeates the fanbase that the Glazers and their lackey Ed Woodward have cultivated in the fanbase since SAF left (with his help) that has allowed them to keep creaming fans without any joy for them.

Yes, but are those clubs managed by a club legend that brings good memories of days gone by?

Some of our fans are part of the problem. 15% to be precise. Which other club would accept this shit?

I disagree, he's not saying that criticism isn't allowed, it's this ridiculous black or white that doesn't make sense. And then it starts to snowball and before you know it, Ole is a PE teacher who cheated his way to the job and spends his time playing FM while his coaches do the work.

The hyperbole actually distracts from the actual, well thought out criticism.

Takes 1 win to impress them and a impossible amount of losses to be fired.

Definition of Stupidity that.

If Ole uses 352 going forward it means his vision for the team completely failed.

He spent hundreds of millions building a team that plays 4 attackers....

feck the rest of the tweet. Sir Bobby Charlton was there? That's great to hear.

So now being rational is sign of deluded, wum and troll?

Yes, lets be like two clubs in big economic problems playing games where 30% of stadium are empty.

Yea but all of them are hipsters.

Menagers all over get sacked very quickly, no regrets so ever, it's too easy to just sign a new head coach. The Great Sir Alex Fergusson didn't build United winning team over a season, or two or three. 6 years, before they won their first EPL trophy.
Ole is not doing a great job, so yes, let the board lecture him, and help him, like Sir Alex Fergusson did in the first training after Liverpool game, but sacking and getting a new head coach is not an answer. It's just gonna make new problems and maybe worse.

And what else do you expect after 3 years, that people will be indifferent, hesitating, still wondering if he’s a right man for the job? It’s really simple, you either want Ole to continue, you’re satisfied with progress we’ve made and think United are fine with him in charge, or you think it’s time for a change. Nobody wants to kick his balls but I guess it makes your message a bit more dramatic. Frustration comes from lack of ambition shown by the board and part of fans that accepted we’re no longer aiming at trophies. To me being a United fan and saying “I’d rather have our manager than half of others in the league” means nothing, because that should never even be a question if our gaffer is in the bottom ten of PL managers. We haven’t sunk that low even in the last years and I hope we never will. Oh and with Conte around I’m quite sure a big chunk of our fans and essentially all opposition fan would rather have 9-10 other of current Premier League managers to lead them than Ole.

I'm not seeing any "Ole In" protests outside of Old Trafford. No one but the Glazer family are keeping Ole in the job.

Want him out? Make the fans storm Old Trafford, nothing short of that will force a sacking of anyone.

What the feck has their economic situation got to do with their football success?

Real Madrid are primed for a huge rebuild after Perez has been selling players for a few windows to subsidise new purchases. Watch and learn next summer how they emerge from their 'crisis' with a better squad than us and immediately start dominating again.

And just completely separately, do you get paid by United and if not why the hell should we care about the financial situation when the Glazers have been draining the club for years.

I've just about had it with dumb arguments like the above as if we should be proud of being fans of a football corporate when we've won feck all in the last 3 years and are looking to win even less under another incompetent Glazer lackey.

And also do not come to me with your bullshit level-headedness. It's the nonsense emotional appeals by you and others such as you that have driven us to a point of running a football club for an incompetent guy who is embarrassing us on the world stage. If anyone is level-headed and rational, it's the people calling for this guy (and his mates) to get sacked, so that we have a chance at winning anything or at least competing.

The amount of time spent talking about United DNA, you'd think we're some sort of a biotech. It's frankly embarrassing even having to explain this.

Nah, fans are not the problem. Our board doesn't give a shit what we fans think, they have proven that on several occassions, most recently with the Super League.

Ole is done at the club, he won't achieve even half of what is expected of him this season and will be replaced at the end of it. Until then let's just support the team and hope we don't get too embarrassed going forward.

I mean this in the nicest possible way, football is not for you, it would be in your best interest to take a step back from United.........and realise you are doing the fan stuff the wrong way.

God forsake we are only in the FA cup apparently............I could just imagine how nearly every other Fan of all the other clubs in English football would be looking at your type and laughing at what you think it is to support a team
I mean, I sympathise with this view, and we are extremely spoilt and privileged as a fan base. That guy is ridiculous for not watching us just because it’s not going well. Not the hallmark of a ‘proper fan’.

But, at the same time, it’s really fecking annoyin to watch us languish in mediocrity when we had Conte there for the taking.

? They literally pulled out from the super league within days because of fat outrage. They don't care about what passive fans think, but if our fanbase gave a shit about success, he'd be gone.

EDIT: I typed fat outrage instead of fan but I'm gonna leave it because it's funny

Short of a catastrophic run of results that forces the boards hand, Ole is going to remain in charge for the season. Conte going to Spurs basically confirms that.

Do yourselves a favour, jump on board and enjoy the ride.

That's an extremely passive approach: Support the team and assume he leaves at the end of the season. What if he doesn't?

Our board is utterly clueless. I actually do think they need 'help' making the right decisions. But if what they see is supporters cheering the team, they might think things are good enough.

Top managers are a rare breed and are in high demand.. yet when they have been available we have repeatedly missed out snaring one ever since SAF retired.. We need a progressive manager who actually knows how to win Titles.. Ole is not that person unfortunately.

I'm glad that the United way of flying wingers and promoting youth has been protected from the likes of Conte, who would commit sins like using wingbacks, playing ageing strikers, over-using the same players, benching youngsters, and playing conservatively with an emphasis on defence.

Nah, I'll stick to my beliefs instead of being a fickle fan without standards. I'll probably be miserable all season watching this squad win 3 games then lose 4 but at least I'll have my useless pride.

Including yourself. Making posts on Redcafe isn't exactly the silent protest that puts you in any kinda great light when it comes to making it clear to the owners what your attitude as a fan towards their decision is.

You said that you want people to feel heat like in Real Madrid or Barcelona. Why would we? They are not some great examples of well run clubs. And thats is why I took economics as example.

If you feel embarresed, do something else. Read a book. Watch a movie. I never feel emberessed when club loses. Everyone loses sometimes.

You talking about some United DNA? I haven't mentioned anything about that or even know if something like that exist. So I don't know why you are even bringing it up.

Eh? I've done as much as I can by not buying merch and generally refusing to support their profit lines.

The people in the ground have a self-professed bigger importance and larger voice but they refuse to use it. I've long since given up on trying to convince people water is wet when they're drowning in it.

Yeah, I haven't changed my position on Ole if that's what you're getting at. I stand by my original opinion that he should have been sacked after the Liverpool game, it's genuinely mystifying that he wasn't. But I'm resigned to the fact that he's here for the season now. I'd advise others do the same, you're in for a sad time otherwise.

What's the point in being miserable about something you have absolutely no control over?

Who's stopping you from going to the ground or anywhere else out in the public and make your voice heard?

You're angry that everyone else isn't saying exactly the things you want them to say while you are sat on your couch doing sweet feckall.

Some on here may do that. But if roles were reversed non of 'em scousers would be asking for our manager.

Strange one? Voicing opinions to get people out of their slumber is unheard of to you? No need to take shit lying down. Social media is a powerful tool. And everyone at the club including the club itself can be made to heard the truth on various platforms.
Still strange, put it out !
