Just delaying the inevitable, going through the motions because as per usual we have to draw out the obvious.

This club is handled by morons.

This can't be serious ? All reports today said Conte is open to the job. Are they briefing Ducker something to shut up the media circus ?

I think hes just talking for the sake of talking now. Luckhurst seems a bit more consistent.

Conte would be an awful appointment so I hope it is indeed very serious. We need to figure out how to get to the end of the season and appoint Ten Hag.
Silver lining is that we will not be rushed into another decision.

This club is run by clowns. Might as well replace Woody/Arnold with Michael Scott and Ole with Mr. Blobby.

Way to ruin any chance of salvaging something this season.

We're really the worst run club in the world. Makes me want to cry. At any rate, this is just delaying the inevitable.

Calling it they’re doing this so it looks like they painfully had to come to the decision to sack OGS, so it didn't look like a complete unanimous decision that it really was when they met. It’s posturing to make it look like they didn’t discard the playing legend so nonchalantly.

Dont forget United love to use that PR spin machine. It probably forced their hand to do something when Di Marzio, a very reputable Italian source, is reporting that weve been talking to Conte in the last few hours.

Well the silver lining is they won't be appointing someone who they don't feel is correct. Fair play to them.

Chelsea sign Tunchel 24 hours after sacking Lampard. We are doing a Spurs. We’ll end up with Southgate I’m convinced.

I actually reckon we'll beat City. We're so damn inconsistent at times we can't even keep a bad run going.

Mark my words: 2-0 to us and Ole lives to fight another day.

There is absolutely no way this happens. Pep has lost to him to many times to let this one go, I will be surprised if they score less than 3 and most likely will end up 7-0/8-0 to them (I’m not even joking, before the weekend I was also saying Liverpool would do a similar scoreline on us).

I don’t see us finishing higher than 8th with him in charge this season either. We’ve been found out and every manager with a clue knows exactly how to beat us. We will still pick enough points against bottom teams due to difference in players quality but that’s about it. Realistically we shouldn’t even be on 14 points now but closer to 9-10.

Fair play until you realize that the current manager isn't correct either and never has been, yet has been in his job for nearly 3 years now.

Yes, instead of rescuing this season, let's wait till it's fecked up completely chasing a manager who might not be interested in leaving his team, then find ourselves stuck with an out of his depth manager for yet another year.

Conte definitely wouldn’t be winning the league this season and very doubtful he could close the gap next season either.

So that leaves the CL, a competition in which he has an absolutely dire record.

Probably a case of just needing a bit of time to make all the changes, 3 tough games until the international break so maybe them just waiting until that. It would make sense. Ole isn't toxic enough that we need a caretaker manager in - he can be his own caretaker manager until the break when we replace him.

Of course if he survives past the international break, then I'd fully support a full riot and Old Trafford invasion until the manager is replaced...

Ever break up with someone and then you both end up stuck together for a bit of time before you can both part ways? Awkward as hell for everyone involved.

The board don’t have a clue, they don’t understand the severity of what is happening on the football pitch at the moment. They are going to be sitting in that board room asking themselves the same questions about Ole in the next week or so, and that says everything they need to know.

I can’t. I can’t watch another game with him in charge. It’s too much. This isn’t about losing games, this is about watching a man fall apart now. It’s like a vet refusing to put a suffering dog to sleep.

All this means is he’s not being sacked this week. He’s a dead man walking, there’s zero chance he turns this around. City will do it, if he lasts til then.

I refuse to believe he'll be our manager against Spurs. I just can't imagine it actually happening ffs !

Nightmare.

Are you suggesting that they signed the knock off version of Tuchel?

Exactly. FFS I can't imagine watching him standing on touchline against Spurs. I feel like I'm living a nightmare. I want literally anyone else coaching the Spurs game, even if it's fecking Woodward himself till we get a new manager.

Might not even be a case of another couple of weeks.

Could just be briefing that his position hasn't changed tonight. Doesn't mean he'll still be in a job come Saturday.

Clearly it all depends on whether we're going for Conte or whether we're sounding out a raft of other managers. If its the latter then the board will shamefully keep Ole in the job despite the tsunami of negative briefings and with him in the knowledge that the board are sounding out his replacement.

If the players have lost faith then he has to go. No point keeping him around until we are relegated.

We are still in a good position in the CL so a new manager is needed ASAP.

For all we know Ole night have resigned and they're trying to buy time to find a manager.

Are people really surprised that they aint pulling a trigger and sacking him? This board couldnt even stick to their own plan when they appointed Ole. Then again this place didnt mind one bit that they abandoned their initial plan to give Ole interim job till end of season, while looking for DoF and then review his work at the end.

The fear now is that we beat Spurs and City and he clings on longer than he should yet again. The Glazers are desperate for excuses to keep him on because they love his compliance.

I know, what a disaster if we beat city.

State of some you, give your head a wobble. United royalty you lot are slating, granted he's not good enough and should be moved on but the lack of respect is a disgrace
