Fleece 10M a year? Ole was on similar salary which is a daylight robbery. 10M for Conte is normal rate.
Why are we giving Ole so much money?? It's not like other clubs are waiting to pounce on him.

Is this from his recent contract?

If we replace solskjaer now we are idiots, so much short termism, he’s done a brilliant job assembling this squad, he needs to be given the chance to turn something around.

He needs to handle this pressure, there’s something not quite right and it needs to be fixed ASAP.

I give Ole credit for assembling the squad but he now hasn't got a clue what to do with it.

He cannot manage the pressure. Looking at him yesterday it was striking how much his appearance has aged in a relatively short period of time. Moyes went the same way. It indicates to me 2 men that were out of their depth

'Considering'

You'd think Ole was SAF with how much our board is desperate to save face for him.

Eugh. I want Ole gone but I'm finding this process and all the leaks very unbecoming.

I think it's obvious that he's going. If he wasn't then the club would've briefed the media that there's no chance of a managerial change and that's that. The fact that we've had an idea day of massive speculation and the club is radio silent indicates that- at the very least- there's serious discussions going on about his future. So they have to get rid. The tiny bit of authority Ole still has is now gone.

Just make the decision and let us try and save what we can from this season.

Better Conte than no one. Tell him he's here for a long term project, given him a two year contract, and then just bring in Ten Hag anyway at the end of the season.

If he comes in for the rest of the season, which would hopefully guarantee top 4, then I'm ok with it, I guess. Then as you said, maybe Ten Hag or someone else at the end of the season.

Who would your choice be?
Mancini -> Conte -> Zidane -> Pochettino -> Bielsa

Let's stop talking about managers who have no idea how to manage the biggest club in the world. We're better than taking a chance on a manager that doesn't have experience at an elite level, we're not a down and out case like we were when we appointed Fergie. We could have any manager we flash our cheque book at now.

Look at you all, already picking your guy, nothing will change with this fan base nor with sacking Ole, standards requirment wont be improved. Instead of all being on the same side, draw a line and nothing under will be acceptable regardless of who is the manager, we gonna get again cults/camps that gonna go acolyte mode for their pick and same shit will be spouted again, shit like how we need to give a manager at least 3 years and 600mil. to bring his players and get rid of deadwood.

Then again, those views are reflection how people see players that we get in transfer windows, fans expectation for those players to win us points on their own, i mean why we paid Xmil for them if they cant put whole shit performance and rest of the players on their backs and win us a game with one moment of brilliance. It actually funny, fans complaining how we are not a team but just a bunch of individuals, while in the same time ignoring our inability to actually play football while expecting players to do something on their own, just so you could say, not a best game but 3pts are 3pts, we move on. Pogba is prime example from day one since his return.

Yet you've named Bielsa

I actually think the club hierarchy has been caught completely on the hop by how bad it's been this season.

I think they genuinely believed that they had their man in Ole. We know that they know nothing about the football and they swallowed all the 'Ole's at the wheel', 'This Club', 'United DNA' and the 'I'm going be successful here' stuff.

The result is that we're now in the middle of a kick bollock scramble to try because Ole's position is now completely untenable and they had no succession plan whatsoever.

I definitely think this is correct.

Weird that you consider him at all after the emphasis on managers that have managed at the highest level
Weird that you ignored my 4 choices before him, and it's almost like you have no idea what Bielsa has actually done in his career. Managing Argentina and Chile are both huge achievements, but why don't you tell me some more about your pick for manager so we can focus on your 5th choice also?

That's what happens when stupid people peddle spin all the time. They start believing it themselves.

No way Ole survives, obviously. Not fair to anyone at this point to let him manage the next match. Give it to Carrick for a week while working out with Conte or whomever. Don't give it to Carrick for the rest of season.

Club football and international management are pretty different.

I would pick Conte.

Great post and spot on to be fair. We’ve seen it all before…..

Are they about to backtrack? Surely he will need to go after all the noise today.

I think there's a damn good chance the board backtrack a bit and Ole clings on until the international break. While the board tap up alternative managers and the media report on it all in what will be a dismal, shameful couple of weeks.

Ole's job is completely untenable now. The players have briefed against him, and there's just no way back from that. And the club are clearly talking to agents and managers sounding out replacements.

I can't believe how the players will perform against Spurs with him in charge after all the briefing about them losing faith in him and believing his tactics are outdated and out of his depth. How will they play under him again after it was made clear like this in public, I don't fecking get it ?

Just put us all out of our misery and get rid.

This can't be serious ? All reports today said Conte is open to the job. Are they briefing Ducker something to shut up the media circus ?
