He seem to rate Josh King.

I don't get it, always seemed an average player everytime i've seen him play.

“You've got to be concentrated.

Josh is strong and quick, with loads of energy about him, so you've just got to be aware of him.

Josh has really developed since I had him in the Reserves here. It's great to see him having such a great career. He's doing well for Norway, so back home he's one of the few that we can really enjoy watching in the Premier League!

But I hope the Norwegians won't enjoy watching him in this game, because hopefully we can stop him.”

Why is he choosing 2 holding midfielders vs Bournemouth at Old Trafford?
Slightly worrying imo.

We'd be challenging of this had happened sooner. Shocking we left it this late.

Incredible impact he’s had. You’re actually enjoyable to look at.

Mourinho convinced a section of the caf that 2nd last year without mounting any real title challenge with these obviously division 2 players and backed with the second biggest spending at that time was a miracle. He made alot on here lecture his preachings about how we have shite players and pogba/martial needed to be sold.

In comes manager who tries to attack and press, let the players play a little. And who fecking knew.

Only 3 games in, I'm actually getting sucked into this whole make-him-permanent-manager propaganda. Never been happier with our team in 6th place.

Any interim manager in this situation is very limited in what he can do but thus far he has done it perfectly.

If he does get the job permanently the first big task he has will be to fix our shite defence.

I'm not so sure.

Still feels like our defense is lacking. Almost like Liverpool before VVD. But you can see the definite improvement.

Our defense isn't as bad as Arsenals and we just scored 11 goals in 2.5 games.

Look, Ole is not a big name manager. But this sample size proves he would have us beating most of the other 14 teams in this league by 3-0s atleast. For a title challenge, that is half the battle won regardless of how he fares against the big teams.

I think we would have seen a monumental United-Pool-City rivalry at the top if Ole had started the season as manager.

He has done an amazing job man managing these players and creating the right environment since coming in. Also, adding the elements of dynamism to our team.

However, this is still very early and I am not on the Ole train yet because I believe a lot of progressive manager could have done what he is doing.

Three matches isn't a large enough sample size though. Six months will be enough time to decide whether he's the right man for the job long-term.

The difference Ole has made - particularly in attack - in such a short space of time is clear.
  • Pogba has been playing further forward which plays more to his strengths
  • Rashford is a hell of a lot more confident and decision making has improved already
  • Martial making forward runs off the ball and playing on the right just fine
“I’m not shocked by the talented forwards we have at United because we've always had top, top strikers at this club. Always. I've played with so many good ones and, to win games, you need to score goals. To score goals, you need top strikers. We've got top ones. It's about confidence as well." - Ole

You can tell he's actually been coaching these players and trying to get them to play to their strengths.

We haven't played good football in years.

This is a pleasant surprise for us too.

Our defense is a problem though. 31 ue goals conceded this season.

You’ve conceded 3 and scored 11 in 2,5 games under Solskjær. If you keep up scoring all those goals, it won’t matter much. At least until you meet one of the better sides. Will be interesting to see how you approach the Spurs game.

It's been a great start.

But we are yet to see how he would manage a difficult period which is bound to happen with every manager.

However this 6 months give us a good glimpse into that.

Challenging. I think a world class CB and maybe another very good midfielder and we might expect to win the thing but that's getting ahead of ourselves.

Agree. Aside from anything else, we're only beating teams we should definitely be beating thus far.

Solskjaer also has a bit of an advantage in that he's inheriting a squad who are already highly motivated to play well (in order to prove Mourinho wrong) but have no reason to take issue with him even if he doesn't play them (as he will be gone in the summer anyway). A permanent manager would have to deal with longer term concerns.

We have conceded a number of chances too. That is what worries me. I think we need Smalling back to deal with Spurs aerial threat.

It will be a good test though. But we have plenty of other games before then. Newcastle away too which is never easy for us.

United suddenly free-scoring, pressing and attacking even when in the lead.

We might concede more than under Jose, but there's no way we'd have scored three before half time with Mourinho at the helm.

It's night and day.
