He isnt one. Plenty of posters said the same, that we should have gone for amore proven option once we sacked Jose. Thats not necessarily my opinion, since it would mean appointing someone on a permanent basis and rushing a decision
Not true, they've got the option to extend Toby's contract if they want to. That triggers a clause that allows him to leave in the summer for, I believe £25m, but it could be £40m

I understand the point you are trying to convey, but still it had come to point where hanging on to mourinho was toxic, regardless of what he has achieved.
It was a misfit from day one. His style did not suit the club, regardless of what he has won or will win.
OGS is only in for half a season. I can understand it. They could not offer Blanc only six months, he would not accept those terms.
I understand that opinion. He's literally making comparisons with Moyes and he's an history of this before.

I think the guy was using Moyes as a hypothetical to try and illustrate the point that many of us are jumping way ahead with Ole.
And he's right that Moyes (up until he left Everton) has shown far more as a manager than Ole has at this point.
If the poster is a WUM, I don't wanna be seen making excuses for him or whatever, as I'm aware it's not popular opinion to question the Ole appointment and I've done so myself - but have only done so because I Love this club and want us to make the best decisions for the club itself.
I'm also really wary of the 'give him the job if he plays some decent football' mantra that has already started. But again, I'm not trying to piss on anyone's good times, just very wary of cronyism.
Either way - I'm excited and utterly fascinated to watch his first few games and I'm hopeful that he can serve as a bridge to our next permanent manager in the Summer.
It'd also be great if this job got Ole another shot in the PL at a suitable club after his 6 months here.

It should be remembered that Solskjær took over the United subsidiary in 2008, where he was so impressed that he received an offer to lead Norway the following year.

I have thought about this alot and something that people need to consider is that we have a large group of players in our squad that are already suited for attacking football which OGS wants us to play. I think most of the players that we have signed under Jose are best suited in an attacking setup.
Pogba, Fred, Rashford, Martial, Sanchez, Mata, Herrera, Dalot and Shaw would all suit playing attacking football. Even Lukaku for Belgium plays very high with creators behind him giving him service and not expecting him to track back loads. OGS Implementing a new style of play might take the players a little time to settle into it as it been 5 years since they were given any sort of freedom on the pitch. I'm not saying it will be perfect, free flowing, swashbuckling attacking football from the off, but in my opinion this group of players will relish this appointment. They will all be hungry to go. It is a fresh start for everyone to impress and express themselves on the pitch.
Our CBs are not of the ball playing quality that we would like in an ideal world. Smalling, Lindelof and Bailly can all defend though and are more than capable of playing in the system until the inevitable happens (maybe as soon as January) and we buy a defender, one that can play out from the back and start attacks from deep.
Jose has gone and we should all be exited for change. A good run of games coming up with Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Newcastle and then Reading is the perfect start for OGS. I cant wait for Saturday evening!

I do not know why the comparison with Moyes? Moyes also took Sunderland down too. Just like Ole took Cardiff down. But in Ole's case he only took charge in mid season while Moyes had the whole season. I would say Ole is as good and of not a better coach than Moyes from the way he sets up his Molde team to play. He won the group that had Ajax and Celtic in it.
I know it's only temporary, but when Ole takes that first press conference in his United suit and red tie, it'll feel exactly how it did when Giggsy took his first presser post-LvG. Everyone will feel giddy, even for just a moment.

You’d have to be the dourest United fan imaginable to not be even a little bit happy at the prospect of a living legend managing us.
For me, and I’m sure for many others of my generation, he’s in the top 5 all time United heros along with the likes of Cantona and Keane and for many he’s only second to King Eric.

Added to this it’s just going to be nice having a personality manage us who I actually like. That of the three last managers Van Gaal was far and away the lost likeable as a person says a lot considering he was a nutcase and not totally averse to egotism or throwing players under the bus.

For the first time since Fergie retired I feel excited to watch united again... Am traveling around Cuba at the moment and doing my best to find a place to catch the game. Compare that to the LVG or Mou eras where I couldnt be arsed to catch a game at times even when home. Could Ole 'fail'? Sure. But for me it's a return to the United I grew up with and loved. It's awesome to have a man you love and respect at the helm again

Eikrem and Daehli were both fairly highly rated at the time. He still trusts Eikrem a lot, and brought him back to Molde. Daehli now plays for everyone's favourite German, hipster club, St Pauli, so he's not doing too badly for himself.
The problem he had at Cardiff was McKay spending the entire budget on shite the summer before, leaving him barely anything to sort the squad out, which is why he ended up reverting to cheap and free signings, and a couple of loan deals.
