Is Ole a good appointment?

It would be one of our greatest nights period, feck it lads just play without fear and go for it, if we get pummelled then so be it. However, if we get the first goal, its going to be panic stations galore for PSG, I'm optimistic but accept we have little chance. Win, draw or lose, just put up a better fight than the first leg at OT!
I’m just getting into my bed in Paris it’s 4.55 and i just witnessed the greatest comeback of all Time ...exclude Juve and Munich ...comment

That one loss is due to unavoidable unfortunate circumstances. He is truly invincible.

Give him the job. From next season with the correct additions to the squad,I'd like for us to learn to control games a bit better. Yes,we can counterattack all we like, but against the big teams esp in Europe, we have to learn to at least have 40-45% of the ball.

There would be riots if he didn't get the job at this point. But no chance that he doesn't. Long live Ole!

Deserves the job he has more then earned It and I am sure he gets a lot of advice from SAF which is invaluable. He can do big things at the club and deserves all the backing even when things turn sour which they inevitably will.

Neville in his Lukaku interview: "I heard the players singing his [ole's] name".

:D

I remember Caftards telling us how they voted for Tuchel after the first leg.:D

Unbelievable turn around and especially tonight with a injury depleted squad. To go through with all of our problems is miraculous, and Ole deserves all the credit.

Im lost for words , in Paris and just so happy to meet reds , it’s just surreal

okay so he's beaten PSG away with 10 injuries, no Pogba, an in-game injury, and made UCL history as the first team to go through after losing the home leg by two goals

but City is the real test...
He’s played nothing “

Happily admit that I had my doubts up until now due to his lack of track record. But well on board with this now. He's done everything right and has earned his chance.

Lack of track record or you don’t know his track record?

He has done evrything and more asked of him. Tonight was such a SAF performance with half the first team out. Give him 4-5 new players and we will dominate. What a player and what a manager. The tactics tonight were perfect. We knocked a depleted PSG out with half a bloody team. That is legendary.
Left out having 4 reserve youngsters on the field.

He could have used the injuries as an excuse, but he turned a negative thing into something positive by saying that means we have fresher players coming in. Really impressed by him on all accounts.

And THAT is why he should get the job more than anything. Hes brought back that character and espirit de corps that Fergie built and made the players far greater than the sum of their parts. Seeing Fergie, Evra, Neville, Becks, Cantona and all the old legends back cheering for the team and meeting Ole and the players we seem like a big family again, which makes the players believe they are playing for something bigger than themselves. When people says Ole "gets the club", it sounds like an empty soundbite, but this is what they mean

Any advantage to holding off announcing Ole as the permanent manager? I certainly think he's earned it (and will rightly get it) and don't necessarily believe in jinxes... but it's just all going so well right now. Not sure I want to be fecking with anything and make any changes to the current winning recipe.

No harm in waiting until the season is over. Even if the discussions are going on behind closed doors, I wouldn't distrupt the current streak. Also don't want to appear reactionary so close after the incredible comeback. Steady as she goes.

Everyone knows he's getting the job in any case, even before the PSG result. Nothing to worry about.

Probably just waiting for the international break to sign and announce it. With games coming up so quick would hate distractions for the manager.

Good lord, 2011 when he said that!:wenger:

Ole definitely the best of the lot at this moment.

I dont think Fjørtoft is known to many outside of Norway, but hes a strange case as a pundit. He has some really cringy moments, his jokes are the worst, but between those awful jokes and weird moments he really has some insight that i've seen in few others

The greatest thing for me is that we do not look like 11 strangers on the pitch anymore.
It really is unbelivable watching Utd play like this. What a man!

"and how do you think I can stepping in between them two"

 fabulous, the man is sheer class.

The atmosphere on this forum.

Watching the game and reading the live match thread first half was abysmal.
90℅ negatives postings (under reighning circumstances) made it unpleasant and disheartening to read.
Why can't so called supporters try to be less harsh and negative, why the urge to post it? Keep the sh** away and enjoy the match. In hindsight, many of you besserwissers just look like fools. Especially after this perticular match for the history.

And one more thing: do we need supporters that still think Ole is a bad interim manager? Is that really a valid and sane opinion or just trolling at this stage? What about putting a posting ban on these negstive trolls for the rest of the season and improve the forum climate for the rest of us. Just MHO

That's okay. Don't take match day thread too seriously. Those are spontaneous reactions without much analysis. That is what watching live is all about. It gets your adrenaline pumping. Those posts are emotions. Enjoy the thrill. You will have plenty of time afterwards to ponder.

Agreed. I tend to miss most Match Day threads due to the crap but a person shouldn't take it seriously.

PSG were without Neymar and to be fair, they are a regular bottle in Europe too. Now Arsenal, the real "specialist for top 4" would be the real test for Ole and us this weekend.

Hmmm..thanks. It helped looking at it that way. You should be a shrink.
However, the Ole-neysayers can't be excused under same logic.

Finally. The club named "Manchester United" is relevant again to the world.

We are back, boys. What a time to live in, thank you so much Ole.

Manly tears are nothing to be ashamed of.

We have scored 3 or more goals in 8 out of 17 games under Ole.

Imagine the meltdown if he's not given it now (a very very tiny part of me wants to witness it)

I would honestly question whether I share the same values as this club any longer if he's not given. Don't care how the season goes at this stage I've seen enough in him to tell that with some summer reinforcements and injury free with proper pre-season we will have our United.

Give him the job now. He brought back the sense of belief to the players. All week he was talking about the great comebacks teams had in the past. I guess the players buy those belief and go out without fear in the game.

Shoudln't we change a note on a thread? Yes technically first PSG game was a loss, but over the two legs there is no loss, so from this standpoint OGS is still undefeated
