Is Ole a good appointment?

Needs to start dealing with the sloppy, lazy football now.

Although we won, we played without energy, and without any real tactical input when we were behind the pace.

Be interesting to see how / if Ole fixes this - because it's been there for a number of matches now.

People will always question decisions that they wouldn't have made but we won. He's got the group working. You have to win ugly sometimes. The last game and this game were just as valuable as winning easy.

There's people complaining about the performance after a 1-0 away win at Leicester. This is how far we have come since Ole took over.
Give him the job
We would have and were complaining about certain wins under Jose aswel. It was a shambolic display after we scored.

Yep. The performance today was the norm under Mourinho without any of the result.

Hope he gives them a good bollocking. We give the ball away disgracefully.

My worry is that he'll give nice guys like Young and Mata a free pass in the summer. We need a manager who will come in and be ruthless with this squad.

It is worrying how knackered we look late in the game, been a trend under him so far

The period of us looking supermen is over I guess. We're now back at 'human' level, winning but not sweeping teams away like the earlier games. This month and the upcoming one will very interesting and if he manages to keep the result as good while we're under our current level, he should take the job.

Playing completely different to how Jose had us. Doubt you can change too much with fitness during the middle of the season.

Fellaini was sold almost instantly, Valencia is apparently getting phased out and Darmian is barely getting a look in. He's about the most ruthless manager we've had since SAF.

I'm happy anyway. Sometimes you have to win ugly. On to the next game.

Going from Mourinho's "get your shape back" style to a pressing counter attacking team halfway through a season is probably going to take its toll on the players. We look very knackered at the minute. The fact we've went from not out running a single opponent to now pressing and catching sides on the break every week is both a blessing and a curse. But we keep winning, so long may it continue.

I feel the same. He's too late in making changes and whilst some might say who could come off especially in midfield, but we can't go all season playing them 3 all season. I think that's why we looked tired...
Hardly his fault that the previous guy had no idea how to build a proper midfield at United.

It is even a good thing that he pulled Ander out to get this kind of midfield atm.

Sometimes we forget just how much shite/deadwood we have in the squad.

Fellaini has been sold, Valencia/Darmian are on their way out. We still have likes of Rojo, Jones, Young, Mata on big wages.

It's going to take time to reshape this squad, can't sell everyone at once.

Ten games, what an achievement for the man and yet another result that will go a long way in deciding our position at the end of the season. That really was vital with Chelsea winning.

His management of this game was terrible in every aspect today. We somehow ended up being much poorer in the second half despite the first half also being pathetic.

Judging from the games against Spurs, Brighton, Burnley and today he seems to have no clue on how to change a game tactically when it's running away from us. He's done fantastic up to now but these concerns are marks I'd have against him if deciding on whether he gets the job.

Yep. Should be picking up three points in games like this.

Didn't we stage a comeback vs Burnley and amass 28 shots?

Thought the players let him down today. What I will say though is that the depth in midfield is poor as we saw on Tuesday and that is severely hampering Ole's ability to change the game.

We got back from 0:2 vs Burnley, Spurs are good side so that can happen and what exactly happened vs Brighton?

Ugly wins are essential for every team. Really tough fixture, great result

Not pretty today. But 3 points away from home against a team that had a real go at us

I think his in game management is a bit suspect at times, but our squad is so shite his options for changing things are limited.
Yep, that's about where I am as well. I really don't know whether it's a weakness of Ole's that he doesn't know how to change things when our strongest team isn't working, or whether the players we have underneath our strongest 11 are so far away from what we need that there's nothing much he can do. He's changed things up in a few matches, but each time it's just been by bringing on the player that he's been resting who is normally in our starting 11.

I assume Ole will rotate a bunch of players til the fulham game. He needs to! Pogba and Matic looks so tired. Hope people dont hammer Ole for that, but he has no other choice.

Agree. Just seems slow in reacting and whilst the subs are limited, we are looking tired quite early in games...

He's squezzing 120% from an underwhelming squad with too many squad players and very few artists of football.

Staying or not, respect for Ole.

We have so much deadwood. Mata, Young, Jones, Lukaku, Valencia, Rojo.. the list fecking goes on. Major work needed in the summer to finally clear out the players stinking up this club.

It was always going to be tough. Did you not see Leicster at Liverpool. They should have beaten them.

Ugly win and we looked tired.

It's often the easiest subs he makes where today the issues for me weren't necessarily the forwards and we needed to win more balls in midfield.

Don't shoot me for saying this but, I still have major doubts about Ole being good enough in the longer run to coach United. It's been great what he's done since Christmas but when it comes to building his own team at this level, his tactics etc I'm not convinced.
It is not just Ole. Every single manager on earth except probably Pep will have same issue as if they can get the job done here.

Let's not be spoiled children and take a look at where We were two months ago and today.

10 games unbeaten, 9 wins, 1 draw. Battered smaller teams, won against Arsenal away, Leicester away, Tottenham away. The players are enjoying themselves, Martial signed a new contract (even though He could have just waited till the end of season to see if things went well, tells you a lot about the squad's mood).

All under a caretaker manager. You can always say "but but We play ugly", that also happened under Sir Alex! do not pretend it never happened. Playing ugly and still winning is a title-winning form. Since Ole took over, no other team in PL won more points than us. I'm sold, give him the job. It's not his fault We have Young in RB and that our right side of is non existent.
