Looks like a guy that’s just won the lottery and can’t believe his luck, he’s just enjoying the ride while it lasts and if the statements from the club are anything to go by that‘ll be a while yet.
A healthier team is a team with less "noise" and less drama. Beaides the Pogba saga we have a very quite dressinf room despite all of our problems. Under Jose everything was toxic.
I also think people are exagarating in the footballing part. Yeah we aint always playing good football, but we have showed clear signs of improvement in a lot of game this season. Our challenge has been consistency, and Ole has done a bad job in keeping his players consistent and thata on him.
But with all that said, we have less deadwood this days, well probably get rid of a few more in the next 18 month and either Ole or the next manager after him will have much better foundations to work with than the ones LVG and Jose left. Its up to the board to bring in adequate players in their place. To say I trust them to do that? I dont. But if we dont make champions league a few years in a row, revenues will plamit and even our bpard will have to act. And I want to believe we wont get to that.
Everything seems to be a joke to him
So as I said in the post before, all the passing on a healthier team is basically saying there’s not a toxic environment at the moment. Hardly a thing to recognize a manager for.
Please elaborate specifics, which are this clear signs of improvement? All I see is counterattacking football and “Jesus at the wheel” tactics, hoping for a moment of brillance from our strikers to break the opposition rather than a attacking style of playing patterns.
Less deadwood? This is also a repeated opinion here, he got rid of which deadwood?
Sanchez on loaning so he’ll be comming back without a doubt, Darmian who didn’t played at all so it doesnt makes any difference having him here or not, and also let Smalling, Lukaku , Herrera and Fellaini go away all of them would be starting or getting fairly amount of minutes.
He also extended Mata’s and Jones contracts so if anything he made sure we keep those two in our deadwood list.
He isnt clearing the squad, he got players in and out, as much as any other manager would have.
Giving him credit for that would be like saying Mou was clearing the deadwood because he sold Rooney, Schweingsteiger, Schneiderling, etc.
The thing is that theres so little to defend Ole with that people uses anything and twist it to make it sound as an achievement.
He isn’t measured with the same stick as other managers, he gets away with all this failures because his history here as a player, but he’s had worst results than Mourinho when the team turned from him and that was a Mourinho team without any reinformencents and a toxic environment.
Did not think it was possible to hire someone as inept as Moyes but we managed to do it somehow.Amazed people still back him. He's more out of his depth than Moyes was.
Hope to feck Sanchez doesn't come back.Great point about the deadwood, it’s something people just spout without actually thinking about. More deadwood was retained than sold and Sanchez will definitely come back. Any manger would have sold a player or two, anyone who replaces Ole would as well.
Spot on. Just being too nice will get him nowhere. It seems he hasn't learnt much from sir alex after all. Maybe just the "no value in the market"bs
The manager should not be allowed to buy players or implement his own style?
We might not need 11 players, but not far off after the Moyes, LVG and Mourinho years.
Hope to feck Sanchez doesn't come back.
By his people ? Shouldn't that be our people, you know like our medical people.Ole: "Pogba? Three or four weeks maybe, I don't know. He's been advised to have an operation by his people and he'll probably do that." #mufc [BBC]
Change the word operation with transfer and it makes perfect sense.
Which players do you think are running the club can I ask?Sounds like the players are running the club again. At least Jose had the bollocks to stand up to the players.
I have to agree with RVP that he smiles too much.
The last manager frowned all the time. This one smiles all the time.
The players must be so fecking confused
He is working with what he has he’s just doing it to his level of ability which isn’t very good. He’s a manager who would have spent rest of his career in Norway, not even at top the table. That’s reality of who we have in charge, there’s no logic or precedent for him being a success. It’s be a miracle if an outdated, limited manager turned all this around.
It is as permanent manager I think. So they exclude almost half his league wins doing that.I saw this and was going to post but because it was so shocking, I didn't believe Ole's win percentage was that bad.

Maybe. Although I also doubt it. He's out with tendon injury until at least mid January. Depends what he plays like when he gets fit and if he can get back into the team and put some form together and show that he is not finished at the top level. it's a big ask.Maybe a good manager could make him good? We will see if Conte manages it when he is back in Italy.
I personally doubt it, but Falcao did find form after being terrible for us and Chelsea as an example.
His body might have declined too much, but I would not be fully sure about it.
Not that it's a foregone conclusion or anything but if, if, it does transpire that Ole has been lieing to cover up for Pogba all this time it will count as a giant fecking betrayal.
You think SAF would ever do something as spineless as let Pogba walk all over him and make him look a liar and a fool, or any half serious semi-competent manager for that matter?
A manager should be allowed to buy his players but inst allowed to be justified to play without any style or pattern if not given an entire new squad. He has 3 new players, if anything the team should play as if only one or two positions away from a great team, besides a clear number 10 in which we all agree we need we don’t really know which one is the next urgency.
We need a number 9, but hey Martial’s great, we need a RW but keep playing James/Greenwood, we need midfield options but McTominay and Fred are great Ole has improved them so much.
The reality is we should be playing better and with a defined style at least, no one knows what Ole is trying to achieve, we don't know if we’re a possession based team, a counterattacking team (since we only play this way against top opposition), we don't know which player is Ole targeting besides “young and hungry” because we don't know what’s the football he wants to play.
You saying he should or shouldn't be allowed better players/his players? I don't understand.
He has spoken about what he wants the team to play like. Higher intensity is needed for this style. Many of the players we have can't play that style for a whole season. We train for this during the summer break, of which he has had one. And then, of course, buy players to suit the style.

Or maybe just not having to inherit the worst and most disjointed United squad in memory.Just heard more excuses to be honest. We should sign him the whole Man City team so he can finish 4th.
Ok but we have never even heard of him trying to be anything but a positive influence in the dressing room. When Chelsea’s players forced their managers out the same names came up of players downing tools, who amongst ours have there actually been reports of doing this?Well it certainly seems like Pogba is allowed to do as he pleases.
Or maybe just not having to inherit the worst and most disjointed United squad in memory.
If you disregard that and us missing our best player all season who happens to be the only world class outfield player we have, then you might as well disregard everything that is relevant to the discussion and continue to stamp your feet for the second coming of SAF.
If you accept the rebuild, and the hard times it will take during it, then you may start to see the wood for the trees.

Ole and the club are the ones begging him like they're helpless without him. It's clear he's ducking his first team duties and needs to be shipped out asap. This is like Moyes-Van Persie all over againWell it certainly seems like Pogba is allowed to do as he pleases.
Im saying he was already allowed to get players, he got three in Maguire, AWB and James. No manager is going to have the benefit of the doubt to keep getting players if he doesn’t shows results.
Regarding all the intensity are just words without substance, we have a young team if anything we should be able to maintain high intensity if properly coached, or at least be playing like Arteta’s Arsenal gassing out in the final minutes but showing the style for most of the match.
We dont show any style what so ever, the games we played better we have counterattacked the opposition, surprisingly effective, and yet Ole never speaks about this. All he talks is totally contrary to counterattacking football.
Because of what's been bought by previous managers, we need better players. Be it Ole, one of the previous managers or a new one. We needed and need to buy better. I believe most of this forum is in agreement of that. What he has bought was needed. Maybe bar James, who at the very least look like a pretty good squad player, long term.
How is it words without substance? If he ain't got the players, what's he supposed to do? What should he have done differently?
Why the feck is he smiling?
My partner hasn’t spoken a word to me since the game ended, because I’m sitting here furious with a face like a smacked arse.
Yet our manager is cracking out a smile. No wonder the players simply decide when to perform.
