Fred Pereira mctominay our main midfield this season so far, it's hard to argue with our position in the table with that.
Gotta give credit when it's due. Hopefully we keep the same midfield and same general structure. I hate 3 players at the back

I'd say we need an experienced back up striker more than we need a RW now that James is proving dangerous on that side, what I liked about his early pass to Rashford was that he raised his head and did the most unexpected thing - pass instead of running, he will do well on the right but without Martial our attacking play suffers too much. For January we need a striker and a holding midfielder then, funds permitting, see about signing a No.10 and Sancho in the summer.
As for Ole I think this run of winnable matches will define how long he will stay, if he survives Christmas and he is hovering around 5th or 6th then the board have to give him Mandzukic and a holding midfielder - Fred is too inconsistent to be relied upon and Garner is a couple of seasons away. This is the only we are going to salvage the season and be able to rebuild from a position of strength in the summer.

Whether you like it or not, the opinions of match going fans will hold far more weight in deciding Ole’s future than what people say on football twitter or in an online forum. Most people are very aware that online posting has become little more than amplified negativity. One big competition to see who can moan the loudest and the longest.
Match going fans have never turned on a manager but guess what we fired three already, the chosen one banner was still being displayed for Moyes when he got the sack. I don't think the Glazers put much consider what either set of fans think when making these decisions. Ultimately it will be results that determine Ole's fate just like in any other job in football.
Most match going fans I know were happy to see Moyes go and not bothered about Jose going either. Just because they weren't holding up banners demanding they leave or booing them at matches... it doesn't mean they wanted them to stay. The Moyes 'Chosen One' banner was organised by a small fans group at the start of the season and I am not sure that it still being fixed to the stand towards the end of the season is that indicative of how they felt. You'll notice there was no discontent about the sackings from fans in the following matches.
You would see a very different reaction from match going fans if they got rid of Ole right now.

Also, match going fans will just get on with it if Solskjaer is sacked. There won't be some huge revolt. It will be the same as with Mourinho and Van Gaal.

No doubt this season is going to be rough, realistically we all knew that before the season began.
Everyone has been crying out to "clear the deadwood" and Solskjaer has really got stuck into that task.
Fellaini, Valencia, Lukaku, Smalling, Sanchez & Darmian have all been shipped off within his 1st year.
Matic isn't getting a look in, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if by the beginning of next season, Solskjaer hasn't removed Matic, Bailly, Rojo and Jones from the squad, possibly Young and Mata too.
For the first time in years, I feel that the club is making the right decisions, we are clearing the players that need to go, and bringing in the likes of James, Maguire and AWB. I am excited to see who the next three new signings will be.
Yes of course we have an enormous amount of work to do, and it's not always going to be plain sailing, but I do feel that we are finally heading in the right direction.

Who said anything about riots? I said the match going fans would not react the same way if Ole were to get sacked now. In the wake of Moyes and Jose's sackings, fans were positive, happy and upbeat. If they now sacked Ole, I can guarantee there would be very vocal support in his favour as well as some very vocal attacks on the board and Ed Woodward.
The worst they will do is sing Ole's name and that's it. I have never been to OT myself but I always get the impression that match going fans place far more importance on supporting the team than on expressing a particular displeasure. When Moyes was sacked he still had the support of the match going fans but I think a lot understood why he had to go. Results are paramount.

One question do you go to the matches? If not then unfortunately anything you say is pure conjecture with regards to the feeling amongst the bums on seats.
Every poster here who is a regular match goer myself included are telling you Ole has the backing of Old Trafford and people would be pissed at Woodward if he was sacked. We can see first hand all the play not what is shown on TV and you can feel the positivity even in times where we fall short.
I really don’t mean to come across as sanctimonious so sorry if it seems that way but go to a match and see for yourself. Make your own mind up.

I’m not saying the OT crowd is not backing the manager, I’m saying that there is probably not going be a huge difference in the crowd behaviour if he is sacked. I’m sure there will be songs backing him up and some anti Ed/Glazer stuff. But so much that it will affect the club and that the powers will take serious notice? I just don’t see it.
Bit of a ridiculous example that isn't it? Of course that would have a bigger impact, but its something that will never ever happen.
There are many factors that the club will consider... but why would they sack a manager who clearly has the support and backing of the staff, players and fans? Hiring and firing managers is expensive business and there is no guarantee a new manager brings trophies and top 4... and then you are back to the costly business of hiring and firing again.
