Didn't some posters said that Ole will resign if things go down?
He will never go by himself. Even if we slip on 20th place he will say that he can fix it

Hard to defend what we say today, but I'm not sure what else he could do.

They players aren't good enough, decades of under performance in youth has left us putting on players like Chong that are miles off where they need to be; Greenwood might make it in the future, but he's nowhere near premier league standard today.

Without Pogba and Martial we don't have the class required to win premier league matches.

People seem to want miracles from Ole, but no one could win with that squad.

He has no system. Almost every half decent manager has a system/style they want to play. Klopp at Liverpool when he came was all over the shop because he didn't have the players but pushed through. Despite his troubles everyone could see what be was trying. Same with Guardiola, Poch, Sarri, Conte etc. You can say they 'failed' but they were never this bad.

Solskjaer has at no point shown any evidence to us fans he has a specific way he wants to play except "attack"

How is he comparable to Moyes who had a title winning squad?
He could have any squad the outcome is the same. He is not a top level coach and that’s evident with a shit squad or with a good squad. If he was not a man United boy everyone would be outside of old trafford with pitch forks.

Monday is a big day. I hope that Ed will do like with Jose after Liverpool and fire him. I simply don't understand why would Ed still stick with Ole

What does this even means?
He was asked why nothing seemed to work no matter the changes made. That was his reply. Seemed to reflect some doubt.

He always said his biggest mistake in Cardiff wad making too many changes hence why he must be trying the opposite. You can tell he's a bit confused that isn't working either

I agree that we fecked up after him. And i agree that he acted like a twat and that he deserved to be fired. But nothing of that would happened if we backed him last summer and gave him players. Just that. That is why i am saying that club fecked up with Mourinho.
He was backed, though!

He didn't get one player. Pep didn't get, what, like 5 players? What did he do? He didn't self destruct - he carried on doing his job and built the best team in the country. That's the difference.

Is this a situation worse than the post Busby-Pre Fergie era ? People say the late 70's and early 80's were bad...but was it as bad as this ?

No, we guys are just saying to you guys that we had fantastic manager and we fecked it up. And it is becoming obvious after every day.
11 points off the top 4 after 17 matches, let's not act as if he was the right man either.

30 games left, 5 points from 4th spot. Now we have 14 days without games. It is not too late to do right thing and replace him. More we wait, damage will be bigger and bigger

Ring Poch to see the situation there. Maybe he can discuss a mutual termination with Levy. Give Ole a token role on a transfer committee or something because we and he have fecked up his career prospects after this disaster showing. Feel bad, he isn't getting another job in world football if not at this club

It's worse because of the level of investment and the competitive advantage the club had established over most of the year.

The league was a lot more unpredictable in the 70s-80s. By the time sir Alex retired, there was a hierarchy of top clubs established who have more money than the rest to spend. We're still in that group and we still spend a feck load of cash more than most of the league, but our results are bang average.

I guess the question is can he turn it around with millions spent in January, if the answer is no then get rid

One things for sure we can't not spend (a lot) in January now if that's what they were hoping

Just because there were no expectations for top 4 doesn't mean Ole should get a free pass. At the bare minimum, he needed to keep this team in the top 8, he's failing to do that. Even with injuries, you should beat likes of AZ, Newcastle. We can keep on saying it can't get worse but it can. This team is teetering towards a relegation battle. That's is unacceptable, it's time for Ole to go.
A new coach, Poch, probably won't get us to top 4. But at least a better coach can keep us in the top 6 and give us a respectable chance of the Europa League. Ole isn't the biggest problem at UTD, but he's most immediate. We need to act to save this season. Long-term, structural changes are necessary. An experienced DOF with enough financial backing and autonomy is a MUST if we are ever going to back to where we were

It’s the managers fault to end up with such a weak squad.
It might be (we don't know 100%) but what good will sacking him do now to expect another manager to salvage something from the same weak squad.

That team we had today isn't better than Newcastle's line up. They've spent £80m on 3 forwards since January, we've spent £18m on James and are relying on Mata and Pereira for goals.

If he's unsure of what needs to change to make things better then he needs to leave. That's literally what his job is. If the club aren't going to get rid then he needs to walk. The De Gea interview is going to be damning. He's fuming and said the right things without being too nasty about it. You haven't scored in two and the goal you conceded was from your own corner. Just shite. It's a depressing time to be a Spurs/United/Everton fan.

Ole, do you think you can turn this around?

Yeah

Ok, have the rest of the season

:wenger:

I like to think I'm one of the ones who advocates giving a manager time. However looking at our play we just do not look like scoring.

We are lacking goals. The performances would come if we could score the horrible goals. We cant.

It seems dramatic and over the top but if we continue in this way do you trust this lot to drag us to safety in a relegation battle? ( I dont think it will come to that.)

In short I'm not worried about the performance levels we are where we are but if we dont find a way to start scoring in drab games we could be in serious trouble. Never thought I'd say that.

His press conference was awful. I'd expect more from an interview with a Sunday league manager. Awful.

You're right... this season we could finish 8th or 9th the way it's going.

Lets be fair here... he wasn't hired for his tactical ingenuity. It was because the players liked him and he got them firing. Now that they no longer respond to him, he's lost his purpose.

True. He’s clearly out of his depth. Smiling and making everything seem like it’s a natural part of the process and transition.

But what do we do?

Just keep our hands in our pockets and let Ole continue.

We are in genuine relegation form since he became permanent manager, we've won 2 in 13. There's a very real chance that if we give Ole another few weeks we'll be in the relegation zone.

Are Ole's performances as a manager damaging your affection for him as a player ?

Only way I can see Ed sticking with Ole is because they share the same fate.

Or maybe that's more wishful thinking on my part.

Strange how Lampard is doing quite well at Chelsea whilst Ole, who has had more time to adjust is driving us off a cliff.

Think it's time to find a mercenary manager to try and salvage that top 4, which is still attainable considering Spurs have also been going backwards and Arsenal will eventually start being shit again.

Lampard is pretty much the evidence that Ole shouldn't be here any longer. It took him no time at all to get Chelsea playing the way he wants and he did it with incredible limitations and losing their best player to boot. Ole has no excuse.

No. You probably dont remember 99. He gave me my greatest football memory. He is a legend and this is awful. I hate seeing this. I want someone to do the right thing for him.

That stat alone would have got Ole sacked at City, Real Madrid, Liverpool, even Watford

No, why would it ? If people didn't come to online forums they probably wouldn't be so mad at him either. Social media makes people toxic.
