Was LVG or Jose not competent enough regards coaching and tactical awareness?
Do you honestly believe a new manager will suddenly get these players performing above their natural level?
Might have been better. I would have liked Blanc, he was suggested here by many members. Not sure if the club ever considered him or what he's up to.

Sure, he gets paid less than Mourinho did but there are only 5 managers in Europe who is getting bigger paycheck than OGS.
I seriously doubt that Klopp would get much more from this bunch. I do wonder if Ole and Ed sat down during the summer and convinced themselves that Mata, Lingard, Fred, Pereira, Matic, Dalot are good enough to compete for top four? Our squad is paper thin and it only takes a couple of injuries to turn us into Brighton. The bright spots are that the three signings from the summer all look good and that Tuanzebe and Greenwood are going to make it.
If I could see some hope that the squad is coming together and there is a team forming somewhere in there then I would be all for keeping him. But the reality is there is nothing. Absolutely feck all apart from some soft talk every time we have a shit result which is pretty much every game now. We are a shambles and definitely regressing.

Should have shown some balls tonight, hauled off Mata and Matic at halftime, Greenwood and Gomes moves to their best positions.
He looks desperate and like someone out of ideas already. I think his just isn’t capable and has a poor squad and it’s a terrible combination that only ends one way.

Once we get Martial we will be fine. Just missing some good quality up top. If given a choice i would have swapped Martial injury to pretty much any other player on our team and we would be in a better position.

The team has achieved almost the same amount of points in the league over the sa.e amount of games between Ole and Jose.

Greenwood played as a striker a lot during the game and showed nothing. He switched positions with James several times. Gomes didn't perform. They're young players. It happens. Why you would blame Ole for that is beyond me. Be happy that he's giving them chances. They would never have played as much under Mourinho or most other managers.
Yea i feel this. He needs results soon, as in Newcastle and by 2 goals as well. A dodgy one nil against Newcastle wont suffice.
If i were a betting man i would say like you say 8 to ten weeks and he is gone.

martial really isn’t that amazing, his stock always rises to a ridiculous level when he’s injured, which is often. We do miss him, but he’s hardly a consistent player who can be relied upon.
Clearly, United has the better players. AZ has only two exceptional players: Stengs and Boadu (but he's very young, just turned 18). Then they have some good/decent players like Koopmeiners, Wijndal, Bizot the goalkeeper, Idrissi, mitsjö. But the difference is AZ is a very organised team. United is no team.

He has been worse than Moyes, and I thought that would be literally impossible to be achieved.
He didn't switch them around pointlessly. They were free to switch positions. They do it to try and surprise or catch out the opponent. And I saw Greenwood play up top for large parts of the game. Didn't you? Mata didn't play well no but neither did Greenwood, Gomes, Fred, Matic or Rashford. Williams was one of the worst performers the first half too.
That was the problem though, no shape or rhythm at all. The rough line up was Gomes on the left, James ST, and Greenwood on the right. All playing out of their natural best position.
At least Pogba is under contract until 2021. Keep him until the very last day.

No it wasn't. The problem was the players couldn't even do the basics right, like pass a ball to a teammate or control a ball. And I bet Greenwood played more as a striker than as a winger. Another problem was our off the ball movement.
Until this last match, I was all for giving him time, provided he starts learning quickly.
Given that he seemingly has no intention of doing so, any potential upside isn't worth what we're witnessing right now.
With that said, I think he needs to leave as soon as possible since the season is still very salvageable and every point matters. Especially with our rivals being uncharacteristically weak, we need to take advantage and aim for a Europa League win and/or top 4 spot.

Could you please detail this “plan” Ole has going forward? I really want to know what it is.
All I see is a team void of any tactical nous, of any attacking prowess, and of any plan.
Why is it acceptable for a manager to take over a squad, control a transfer window, and make the team WORSE?!
There is no way if we’d have brought, for example, Lampard in at the same time as Ole, that people on here would be cutting him anywhere near this amount of slack.
Sentiment is clouding people’s sanity. And those who are calling Ole out for what he really is, a terrible terrible manager, are the ones being accused of losing the plot.
