Journalists giving him a easy time, if this was Jose in the same form they’d be absolutely hammering him.
Fans would've been angry but if the club actually had a plan and had confidence in what they were doing they wouldn't have listened to outside noise and appointed the right man at the end of the season. We would've still seen United go into bad form under Ole and most fans would come around to the idea that Ole isn't the right man in the long run and we should go with somebody else. Problem is the club had/has no plan or direction and just went with the popular choice at the time.Just hindsight bias.
It's obvious how this forum would look like if they decided not to give a permanent contract to Ole and go with a different manager who - let's be really - wouldn't get any spectacular results with this squad either. Had to try the former legend experiment once and it was the right time.
Only them? Look at fans. More than 60% think that he should stay after all this. Remember pundits? Neville and Scholes were destroying LVG and Mourinho. Watch what they are saying now. Scholes is quiet and Neville is blaming everybody except Ole. I don't understand why is Ole this protected. Sure he is our legend, he is nice guy but he is not fecking Cantona or Becks or Giggs.Journalists giving him a easy time, if this was Jose in the same form they’d be absolutely hammering him.
Let's see what happens against Newcastle, it might be good. If not then I am dreading the Liverpool game.
Mourinho is one of most decorated managers of all him. When he took over quotes of how United will return to the big boys were all over the shop. United gave him a lot of money in his first two seasons to build the antithesis to City. In the end the results weren't special, i enjoyed him, but for most people he isn't their cup of tee.Journalists giving him a easy time, if this was Jose in the same form they’d be absolutely hammering him.
Sacking Ole won’t change a thing unless we restructure the footballing side of things and appoint a director of football etc. I also agree with the poster who suggested appointing Ole as DoF.

Look, doesn't matter what you think about Ole In/Out - the following cannot be denied.
IMAGINE Jose Mourinho overseeing this run since Ole was made permanent, and the absolute fecking pelters he would be getting from the media? Just imagine it. OGS is absolutely spawny in terms of being so fortunate to be a renowned 'nice guy' and not a player that divided crowds because he would be torn to shreds by the media, here. Let's think about an actual confrontation that might take place and probably did, under Jose:
JOURNO: - "Jose, previously you pointed towards your players being unfit and unable to play a fast, pressing style. You said this would change and your priority was to produce a United team that would top the league in terms of running, fitness and pressing. Can you explain why your players look so lethargic so early into the season and why so many muscular injuries are occurring?"
Or what about:
JOURNO: - "Jose, during the summer you mentioned that MUFC was all about attacking football and this was something you want to make the centre-piece of your United team. Well, tonight you didn't have a single shot on target against AZ Alkmaar and you haven't score more than one goal since the opening day of the season. Not to mention, you've scored 11 goals only in 10 games. This doesnt seem like attacking football, to me?"
99% of the fans on here wanted him and bit the head off anyone who disagreed.
His post match sounds like Moyes.

Solskjaer rues penalty decision
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been speaking about the penalty claim, Brandon Williams and Jesse Lingard to MUTV:
On the performance:
Very happy with the boys, we come away with a good performance. Should have been three points, a nailed on penalty. You cant even discuss it.
Good performance against a good opponent on a very bad surface.
On the penalty appeal:
I just couldn’t believe what I saw. Same as Arsenal, the handball that should have been 2-0. It’s frustrating now these little things because the boys deserve more.
On Brandon Williams:
Top class, top performance for a full debut. So happy for him. He’s got no fear, he’s brave, wants the ball, takes people on, tackles, he’s physical. So happy for him.
On the Europa League campaign:
If you get your draws away from home and win your home games you’ll be fine. We go to Belgrade wanting a win and that sets up up nicely.
On Lingard’s injury:
I think he felt his hamstring, I don’t think he’s too bad. Probably not Newcastle but ready for Liverpool.
Looks like it's real.

You wonder who is advising on transfers. Some of the reasons we haven't signed players. With the same structure we have improved from Moyes to LVG to Jose and we have regressed all the way back and even worse under Ole. Yes, structure is a problem but better managers can compensate for it. And we are not asking much out of his squad, just to beat bottom half and league one teams?. Is that too much of ask of any manager with this squad?
Also, this idea of Ole as DOF has to die for sure. I mean if we did the due diligence and had a formal process, he wouldn't even be in the top 10 of contenders. What makes him a suitable candidate, because he signed a target from last summer? or because he signed the best RB in PL last year outside the top 6?
I mean what are we going to tell the new manager?, work with the guy who sucked at your previous job?. Its laughable to even suggest that.
Just hindsight bias.

He reached lvl10 on a Moyes scaleHe has turned full Moyes since the start of the season.
How much worse can it get if we replace him?
Seriously, there's basically no risk, we are appalling under him.
Bring back Tommy Doc.I don't know, but the next manager will be in for one hell of a culture shock when he arrives at the club and slowly begins to realise just how bad this squad truly is - like Ole before him. I honestly think it could be one of the worst United squads ever assembled.
I don't think it matters who takes charge of the team at this stage of the season. We look like a genuine run-of-the-mill midtable outfit. Scary.
Shows how deluded many are. There were more than enough that didn’t want him permanently though.
Just hindsight bias.

Or alternately, we get someone competent in who'll bring in an actual style and train his players to commit to that philosophy. We make football seem like its so difficult to grasp. It really isn't. Right now, we don't even know the basics of the game. Pass and move, Ole! Tell them to pass and fecking move!!
Looks like it's real.
Bring back Tommy Doc.
Even Keano going soft on him.Because they are friends.
Ole will still be a legend and nothing will change that. It´s nothing personal. He is just not the guy to take us forward. Still like the guy and would like it to stay that way.
When did Neville destroy Mourinho and when was the last time you heard Scholes say anything?Only them? Look at fans. More than 60% think that he should stay after all this. Remember pundits? With "spectacular results" I meant challenging for the title against City/Liverpool.Posters say this as if it's accepted wisdom but it's rubbish. Look at the PL table - let's just pretend we found a manager who was able to get a bit extra out of this team (which we know is possible) and has a bit of tactical nous. Most of our games have been very winnable and the usual suspects bar Pool and City have been off colour, we could have definitely been top four given, even with our atrocious form, we're only 3 points off. it doesn't have to be spectacular this season but it needs to be better than this.
I don't think it was wrong to go with him as an interim, it was stupid to give him a permanent contract though and stupid, post PSG, to stick with him.
