Ole's problem is that he thinks Rashford and Martial are reliable, top class forwards. Both can't be relied upon to stay fit and score goals consistently. I just don't see where the goals will come from in this team.

Back him. Back him to the hilt. I have to question everyone saying get rid of him and question what sort of fan really says that at this time. We’ve had 5 managers of differing experience and qualities all before him and all have failed. Oles picked up the shit end of the stick now and has to oversee the biggest phased rebuild we’ve ever had. Let him do it. It’s going to be awful doing thru it but we will be better for it long term. The biggest issue at Man United is majority of players can’t pass a ball to a team mate 5 yards away. Or can’t play one/two touch football or can’t play with their heads up. A wage deduction system for every school boy lazy mistake would sort this bunch out but it can’t happen sadly.

Don't even try, mate.:lol:. There is something seriously wrong here. People don't want world class manager like Allegri because he is "defensive" manager while we have limited and average manager who plays on counter attacks.

It's hilarious isn't it. It's the same who constantly moaned when we finished 2nd and now we're even worse, they think we're playing well.

The problem is, most of the managers in the PL are better football coaches than Solksjaer...

So while people love him, and he says the soundbites that many lap up - the reality is that Wolves, Burnley, Foxes, Southampton, Bournemouth have a better manager than Man Utd does.

Last week was a prime example - for all his failure at Liverpool, Roy is a better coach than Solksjaer, albeit with far less resources at Palace, and thus he out-foxed him and got the win.

The reality is that Solksjaer, by PL standards, is a really poor coach.

And admitting that doesn't mean that you 'don't love the club', or even that you dislike Solksjaer, it's just the truth.

This squad might not be amazing, but it contains a decent amount of quality. But the manager in charge is barely of Championship level.

This is what Ive been saying all along. But no... He loves the club, has the clubs best interests, knows the United way etc etc..

I don’t think he does. It is blatantly obvious that they aren’t. I don’t really see why anybody would think they are, let alone a top level professional manager.

I still back him, just hope that we get a proper structure above him. If he can bed in the young players this season, then that would be a big positive.

Therefore the problem is less Ole and moreso those above him - most notably Woodward.

Its like Ed and the Glazers consider it some sort of trophy-like victory to have banked Lukaku's fee and offloaded Alexis' wages.

That has been the problem for a long time, the fact that we still have not got it right is worrying. Just how many times can Woodward fail before we get a DOF in.

Is Allegri a world class manager? Its not unfair to suggest that United shouldn't play the brand of football Allegri offers, you said there are lots of managers that could replace Ole, do you have any other suggestions?

I haven’t looked at the table, I just can’t bring myself to look at it. We have to back Ole and cheer the lads on as much as possible, it’s the bastards in the boardroom that deserve our venom.

We only got one man that can unlock defenses, so yes, our squad is shit, and we lack quality on the ball when up against teams that defends low.
If we had a true system or identity, we wouldn’t have to rely on Pogba taking on 3 players.

That's the problem. Woodward has been the only consistent player during our 6 years of mediocrity. He doesn't have what it takes to make football related decisions here or anywhere else. He has to go.

what a shit situation. poor squad with a terrible, out of his depth, manager that fans are willing to give all kinds of breaks to due to emotional attachment.

He needs to be more ruthless during games, be more proactive with changes instead of how passive he's being with everything. Takes way too long for every sub and refuses to change systems during games. A perfect example was today. They get the red, Greenwood should INSTANTLY be coming on for McTominay or Lindelof, and we switch to a 442 with Greenwood next to Rashford. It's a no brainer sub. Instead he waited 10 minutes for the sub but kept system the same. Like he's too worried about doing a dramatic change when the game is in the balance.

As well as this, he also really needs to light a fire up the players ass. No urgency. Too casual. I have sympathy for the situation he's in and I do like a good amount of what he's trying. We're going to be inconsistent because of how young our side is, I really like his transfer business that he managed to do, though of course hes hamstrung by woody and the board not fully supporting him/not managing to do what they should have. Also given our squad make up, its understandable that it'll take a bit of time to integrate the youth fully, but as a result, I think itll look much better in general as the season goes on.

Anyway, he has his faults, nobody is expecting him to be amazing, but I do think he has us going in the right direction for now. Saying that, needs to just be sharper in his in game management instead of being so passive.

Erm...do we have other strikers available that the rest of us don't know about?

So let’s replace him with one of the greatest coaches of the modern era in mourinho. Tried that and that failed. Experience in LVG- didn’t work. Premiership seasoned Moyes- didn’t work.

Whilst even I accept Oles coaching credentials may or may not be as regarded as some one like Hodgson who’s been a coach since the 70’s, there’s far more to it than that as the previous great coaches proved. We are rotten to the core mate the players need to wake up and earn the huge wages that take home each week

Agreed, the problem is that the ones who can decide that is probably the Glazers themselves, and I have no hope in them.

He dropped Lingard today like people wanted, he moves Pogba to 10 at one point, then when Southampton get a man sent off he drops Pogba back and brings Greenwood on like anyone who knows anything about football would have. How can you blame Ole today? We dominated the game, he can only work with what he has.

Us losing was down to the players today nothing to do with Ole.
I’m not sure if OGS has the ideas and capability to lead us out of this quagmire. But I am certain that this current squad is far worse than any that Moyes, LVG or Mourinho had to work with. He won’t get to prove anything with this lot.

This windows cull was quite comprehensive, but lack of like for like replacements has left us dramatically short of quality and experience.

Bissaka is still a kid finding his way, McTominay has yet to have his ‘break out’, James is a kid making a huge step up, Rashford still only 21.

And we have teenagers who should only be in league cup squads regularly getting PL bench places.

Have never known anything like this at a club with elite ambition. Our competitors must think we are quite mad.

Agree with everything you say and I would like to see Gomes, Garner, Greenwood and Chong get more playing time.

Honestly, any other PL manager probably. There was a reason why he failed in Cardiff and went back to Molde without having offers to stay in England.

A long season ahead lads but just have to accept that we are no longer a top 4 team. Very average squad. Ole is a yes man and glazers are happy the club will just keep making money outside football reasons. Ole was right last season it's the Leicesters and the Newcastle we have to watch out for. So far he is right. Only thing he has got right. Joke how the club is run. Not looking forward to playing city or Liverpool this season. We will be chasing shadows.

If anyone believes we are a top 4 club then I am more worried about them than the club itself.

1. There are literally thousands of better coaches than Solksjaer in World footy

2. Mourinho actually won trophies here

So who out of the players we sold or were not playing today do you miss or would be better?

It's zero sense to sack him. It's his team and he favors youngsters. So give me this entire year so see how it works out.

A new manager without a proper transfer window is a 100% disaster.

Hodgson most certainly didn't out fox him at all, Palace were a defensive error/penalty scored/De Gea mistake away from not winning the game. All of those elements were on the players not the coaches. Hodgson's game plan was to play for a 0-0 like he did last season when he faced Mourinho and lucked out due to the above

Why the feck should the Molde manager be in charge of the rebuild? Because he used to play for us? People need to wake up.

He spent around 300m+ pounds net. That is a staggering amount for the shambles he left the club in.
And a barebones of a team that you have now with many of the senior players gone and not replaced, should we pin that on him also?

Seems that Jose is the sole perpetrator for all of our woes.

When will you accept that money wasn't the issue? Pochettino didn't want to leave Spurs and didn't want the United job pure and simple.
With the current circus of clowns in charge? No. I’m sure he didn’t want it. An ambitious Manchester United with a clear vision, structure and strategy for the future willing to spend what it takes to return to the top should have been able to get him though.

We’ve been horrific since the PSG match, of course we can and we should be blaming Ole, just like Moyes, LvG or Jose were blamed.
That doesn’t mean its all on him, but our form since PSG would make Moyes blush out of embarrassment.

We should have kept him on as caretaker, his record since permanent boss has been a shambles.
