People don't seem to see the problem backing a manager with no track record.
Absolutely. It won't change until we get a top class progressive coach.Yes it's tactically crude. I wonder if people think Liverpool, City and Spurs play the way they do just because the players are good. There has to be an underlying system
If we had a system and it was being bogged down by technically poor players like Lingard I would have more sympathy and patience for the manager but we don't have one.
Well, the transfer window is closed, the owners and admin are still in place, and Ole can't take the penalties or officiate, so, I think it's a bit unfair to go off on him after a game like today.I can't speak for others but like I said the problem lies through every facet of this club from the players, manager, board all of these are much more prominent than any refereeing display ever will be
I’m almost certain it’s the board. It happened last summer and in Moyes first.I don't think he's completely blameless. It sounded like he had a fixation over signing British players and we spent all summer chasing Longstaff. We made a last minute attempt at Dybala but it was Juve who offered him to us rather than us identifying him as a target and going after him.
3W 4D 9L in his last 16 is criminal as a Manchester United manager
Do not talk about Mourinho.. he was the cancer .. nobody was looking forward to his interviews.. nobody was looking forward to his games.. there was negativity hovering all around the club.. he is the worst manager we have ever had .. no wonder he is not finding jobs anymoreHe needs to go & should’ve gone end of last season but he got a free pass (which Jose/LVG never would have had with results end of last season) and here we are.
We brought in on ourselves so here’s to another average season with an average manager & average players
Yeah he was really poor when he walked the league with Cleverley and Carrick in midfield.I hope we will not repeat our mistake to sack someone who is not the one to blame. We made massive mistakes over the last 10 years and we need to learn from them. Just want to mention some of them:
1. In 2009, we sold the best player in the world without trying to convince or stop him
2. Last 2 seasons of Sir Alex were awful, we should have forced him to retire after the 2011 final against Barcelona
3. David Moyes didn`t get money for good players, even though the team desperately needed new faces
4. Moyes was sacked before the end of the season which is ridiculous, especially without giving him money for transfers
5. I don`t know why Louis Van Gal was appointed and what was his job at the club, the thing i remember is that we were playing a football good for the second division
6. Mourinho did a good job during the first season, but for some reasons everything went wrong after that and he actually should have been sacked after the end of the second season
and some good words for Ole:
1. The guy loves the club and did a very good job in the transfer window (probably our best transfer window since 2003-2004), Mourinho also had one good though
2. and the best thing, he got rid of Fellaini;
3. Probably, today was the last chance for Lingard and he will no longer be part of ole`s plans or at least in long term;
4. Ole knows how to manage the players and knows what we need in order to be a top club again, he just need 2 or 3 players more
5. If we sack him, who would be better?
SAF used to get flak at times. No manager should be free from criticism. Yes the players made mistakes today and deserve the blame for it,What happened to Redcafes famous cliche of "the buck stops with the manager"? Used to get sung here all the time for 6 years.
At full-time, the camera panned to Ole and he was walking around the pitch smiling pleasantly and shaking hands with the Palace players. After seeing his team get turned over embarrassingly in front of home fans. SAF and even Mourinho would have been down the tunnel with a face like thunder, embarrassed to even be seen on camera after that, anxious to rip into the individual errors and performances that caused such a defeat.
However, not Ole. Because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is simply happy to be here.
Have to agree with that. Those players would have been terrified of the reception waiting in the dressing room. They would have been left in no doubt that the performance was unacceptable. I can just imagine this lot sat in the dressing room moaning about the referee and VAR.
He sets up a team with one plan and one plan only. To counter-attack. How can he shout at the players when is unable to offer them suggestions for a Plan B? He can't. He knows he's out of his depth and that his players know this, too. It's David Moyes v2.0
1) Why is Ole allowing 'Rashy' to have free reign of free-kicks when he is abysmal at taking them?
2) Why is Ole continuing to play 'JLingz' in every single game despite Lingard not contributing to goals in any way since December?
3) Why is Ole seemingly unable to adapt during a game?
He seems to be content to be best buddies with certain players and hope that things fall into place. He is showing no ability to adapt or think on his feet when things are going against us.
Look, the Glazers and Woodward are scum for appointing a low maintenance manager and selling him down the river in the summer window.
But this isn't the Glazers thread, it's not Woodward's thread.
This is 'Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Permanent Manager'.
And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to be gone by Christmas.
Why sack Ole now when we've got nobody to replace him with? And at least our football wasn't as negative and boring as it was under Moyes, LVG and Jose.
During the Summer, a lot of fans seemed to have forgotten how bad we were in the last few months of last season.
I predicted 2 things:
1, Ole will not be the manager on 1st Jan 2020
2, the fitness work that we are doing will not solve anything.
I also predicted that before the Summer transfer window opened, that we would not spend big and would penny pinch.
IMO, we will improve as the season progresses, but we will go through periods when we draw/lose consistently. And it is these periods which will see us stuck in a mid table position. And that is what will see Ole fired.
i do hope I'm wrong though, because this is painful to watch. LFC and MCFC will probably use CP, to work on their goal difference, while CP use us to get 3pts at OT.
Oh dear, after the great start we had in beating Chelsea 4-0 it appears reality has set in.
Still I’m confident we will finish 4th or better.
4th from bottom or maybe with luck even half way.
The result was sure. But the football is more entertaining.Losing 2-1 to Palace at home is pretty fecking negative mate.

Rashford missed a penalty, ref should have given atleast 2 more penalties, Lindelof out jumped by Schlupp who is 4 inches shorter than him, and De Gea with another ridiculous mistake, that shot should never go in at the near post. AlsoWho did we play today?Prime Real Madrid or fecking CP.
He is not good manager. What a mistake to appoint him. We are playing exactly same how we finished our last season.

The best signing we would have made would have been a progressive coach on Ole's backroom staff to help implement technical possession.Absolutely. It won't change until we get a top class progressive coach.

Pretty much this even though we have made 3 poor mistakes that might have cost us 5 points.During the Summer, a lot of fans seemed to have forgotten how bad we were in the last few months of last season.

Than the tumescent shit we served up under Moyes, the aimless boring backpassing with LVG, and parking the bus under Jose? Yah, I find our football more entertaining. Little consolation after a result like today I know. Was it feck.
I meant Greenwood should have come on at half-time.....has Solskjaer really thought Lingard would improve his 0/10 first-half performance to a 8/10 performance in the first minutes of the 2nd half......we have wasted 8 minutes in the 2nd half because it was 100% clear that Lingard would be awful in the 2nd half too. Then do you wait until the 80th minute to make a change ..
Any manager that comes in, any player that comes in , are hounded by the press, social media , forums and hence feel pressurized.. we have owners that are happy to take a billion dollars and not do anything..

My point is simple. Ole had basically free half season last year. Time to know the squad, implement his style and ideas. We looked worse in june. Ok, then came pre-season and transfer window. Another chance and time to build style of play and squad. Now, 9 months after he came, what is his signature? Are we playing better than last year? Running more? Pressing more? Defending better? Attacking better? What is the reason why he should get more time?
Lampard is in Chelsea 2 months, without buying single player and he already have something to show. It is not looking great and i am not saying thst he is good or bad manager but so far his team is playing football, not sitting back. Rodgers also came after Ole and also has something to show.
I said before Chelsea game that Ole's results will be mix of everything. WLDWDLWD and so on. And that will not change i am afraid.

Obviously, I agree Ole isn’t the long term answer. But what can we do about it now? We’re 3 games into the season ffs.So like Jose's first season where we finished 6th? Pepper the opposition and draw every game. In this case, lose at home to Palace. First half was fecking shit as well.

I stopped after his 1st point.Stopped reading after that
Of course he is going to say that, most managers would except of course Mourinho.
