I don't back him but sack him wouldn't change much.

Lingard starts every game is his fault, he has no game plan and to make the Greenwood change after 53 minutes was totally ridiculous.
Then do you wait until the 80th minute to make a change ..
Any manager that comes in, any player that comes in , are hounded by the press, social media , forums and hence feel pressurized.. we have owners that are happy to take a billion dollars and not do anything..

Its touching that, despite the repeated failures, people still think sacking a manager will change things.

Keep banging your head against the wall lads. Sooner or later than steel door will give...

...maybe?

Big few months for Ole, our fans are so beaten down we don't even expect a title challenge we just expect progress and not seeing anything.

Im not even gonna talk about transfers or anything just the lack of ideas and tactics are all on him and i see nothing good at the moment.

It’s not oles fault for the transfer window. Our recruitment team, board and owners are the problem.
Now, I do think oles team selection and in game management has been poor. Shaw should have come off straight away because maguire had to shift out wider to cover him with the injury.

I don't think he's completely blameless. It sounded like he had a fixation over signing British players and we spent all summer chasing Longstaff. We made a last minute attempt at Dybala but it was Juve who offered him to us rather than us identifying him as a target and going after him.

Sack him and then what? Hire another manager? Who?
Is there anyone out there who still thinks we have a shot of glory under the Glazers? Time and time again they set up the managers to fail and our idiotic fanbase keeps filling up the stadium and buying official shit.
"Top reds" keep serving as the loyal guard of the Glazer while the rest of the local based fans do nothing but call our "armchair supporters" the "most toxic in the world".
If only our fans really love the club massive boycotts and protests would be engineered.
Instead some want the head of a well-meaning club legend while the Glazers keep counting the money with their greasy fingers.

Sack him the moment a decent alternative is available. This is shit. We should bide our time but I doubt he does anything significant for us.
And get who? Who will come to us ?
Tuchel? Poch? Mourinho? Ohh wait ..
Unless we spend wisely and get some decent players in, we will be shit..
The change has to come from up top.. the owners and Ceo

Are people seriously calling for Ole’s head already?
Look at that team on paper, Pogba aside they would struggle to finish top 10.
Already? He is here 9 months. But why do you underestimate our squad this much? Sure we need two or 3 players and we are not good as City and maybe Spurs and Liverpool but outside those two, our squad is better than other teams and is equal with Chelsea and Arsenal.

I would have wanted to see him get sacked (or better yet not hired in the first place) at the end of last season. Since he got the gig and the summer I don't see any point in sacking him now. The current squad isn't much better than what we've seen in the first 3 games and the whole season is going to be like this I feel. I predicted a 6th place finish and 3 games in I've not seen a reason why that would be wrong. Wouldn't shock me if we clinch 4th but I don't think we're as good as Arsenal and we're even further from City, Liverpool and Spurs than we were last season.

Realistically Ole, Woodward and the Glazers all need to go.

I said it earlier, if you appoint such a novice (at the top level) manager, then you need to fill the squad with world class players to compensate for the managers shortcomings.

What an absolute clusterfeck of a situation.

The team is missing one additional creative midfielder. I don't think other than this there is major weakness. Yes, there are some weak points but that is with even every top team. But to win you need goals and you need someone to actually create opportunities for those goals. Everyone looks clueless around 18 yard box. There is no method or purpose in attack. This team needs a General on the pitch.

And get who? Who will come to us ?
Tuchel? Poch? Mourinho? Ohh wait ..

That's why I said, the moment a decent alternative is available.

I hope we will not repeat our mistake to sack someone who is not the one to blame. We made massive mistakes over the last 10 years and we need to learn from them. Just want to mention some of them:

1. In 2009, we sold the best player in the world without trying to convince or stop him
2. Last 2 seasons of Sir Alex were awful, we should have forced him to retire after the 2011 final against Barcelona
3. David Moyes didn`t get money for good players, even though the team desperately needed new faces
4. Moyes was sacked before the end of the season which is ridiculous, especially without giving him money for transfers
5. I don`t know why Louis Van Gal was appointed and what was his job at the club, the thing i remember is that we were playing a football good for the second division
6. Mourinho did a good job during the first season, but for some reasons everything went wrong after that and he actually should have been sacked after the end of the second season

and some good words for Ole:

1. The guy loves the club and did a very good job in the transfer window (probably our best transfer window since 2003-2004), Mourinho also had one good though
2. and the best thing, he got rid of Fellaini;
3. Probably, today was the last chance for Lingard and he will no longer be part of ole`s plans or at least in long term;
4. Ole knows how to manage the players and knows what we need in order to be a top club again, he just need 2 or 3 players more
5. If we sack him, who would be better?

Don't fecking sack him before Christmas if you are going to sack him. I'd take 10th ratjer than 6th and be forced to play in the Europa League.

Then we get a new shiny manager coming in right after the season ends, and he can spend the summer getting to know the squad and implementing his ideas in the pre season.

Winning against Palace at home is his fault. We are not asking for a league title. The way he set the team up was already an alarm ringing

Want to know something more worrying? It's probably our strongest 11.

Already? He is here 9 months. But why do you underestimate our squad this much? Sure we need two or 3 players and we are not good as City and maybe Spurs and Liverpool but outside those two, our squad is better than other teams and is equal with Chelsea and Arsenal.
Arsenal have a better team than we do now, you’re overrating Rashford and Martial.
Their attack and midfield are easily better than ours.

Why do people keep going on about him saying he was happy in some interview? What's he supposed to say exactly? "No I wasn't backed, the board have no ambition beyond making profit for themselves, my squad is shit, and we'll barely be able to finish mid table with this rot"? Are people really that delusional that they think he's truly happy with this squad? How anyone can keep focusing their anger on the managers after all these years is beyond me.

22 shots to 5. Centre back that can't head a ball, keeper that can't make basic saves and a penalty missed. It's the manager's fault.

People ridiculed him for saying it was the biggest achievement of his career. Perhaps a bit hyperbolic given that he's a treble winner, but the gist of what he was saying was very sensible.
People bashed him for saying that but now the same people are saying how our reality is fighting with bloody Wolves for 6th place and are happy with point against them.
There is huge gap in mood towards Ole now on CAF. Half people want him gone and other half is defending him with all possible excuses. It is like civil war here:lol:

Squad is too weak. That's down to the owners.

Players celebrating hard getting an equalizer against palace when they should be grabbing the ball and going for 3 points is very telling.

Not necessarily Ole's fault. But he needs to rectify this. Will he be tough enough?

It’s hard to tell because he’s been handicapped by Woodward and the Glazers in the transfer market.

I have no idea why our spend is so low despite supposedly making a lot of money. Either they don’t want to give a ton of money to the unproven OGS so he can spend it on more dross potentially, or they’re waiting for their next manager to give a money too since undoubtedly that person will demand the money will be spent or the Glazers are looking to sell up by not spending as much.

I cannot think for a second that he is happy with just those three signings after the players who have left and may leave in Sanchez’s case. Probably trying not to rock the boat.

I personally believe he’s putting a ton of blind faith into ‘Rashy’ and ‘Jesse’ to turn it around for him too. I’m certain of it for ‘Jesse’ but I’m willing to be proven wrong on ‘Rashy’

Ole at the wheel, tell me how good does it feel?

Replacing manager is not going to solve our problems. We still have some turd to get rid of and must invest in new core.

You can coach players to move without the ball. You can blame the players not being good enough in their technical ability but it is entirely up to the coach to coach them to the best of their abilities. What is this way Ole wants us to play? All I see is trying to press and then try to counter attack. Teams like Palace would not give us the way we want to play. Now if we had managed to score first then they may attack us and give us the space but Ole has no clue how to play against teams like this.

This is what 80% of the forum fail to understand. We could have fielded a world class midfield, if they aren't coached to break down the opposition they will render themselves useless.

We have what's happening now fans blaming the refs and circumstances that has nothing to do with the run of play for failure in results. On paper we had more possession etc but we aren't doing anything meaningful with it.

Let me stop you here... we kept him a whole extra year! He wanted out the season before!

You would think with how Ole is blamed that they did, as that is the time that he should be blamed. No matter who the manager is, the mistakes that happened today can happen to anyone, and the manager can't do much about these things.
The problem is teams don't have to outplay us. Against a bit of defensive organisation and a little quality in attack, we're vulnerable as feck.

Sure, that may all be true but unfortunately it doesn't change the fact that he's an absolute horrendous excuse of a football manager and it's us who are stuck with him.

What happened to Redcafes famous cliche of "the buck stops with the manager"? Used to get sung here all the time for 6 years.

3 wins in 13 games (competitive) since PSG !!! That's bad.

I think he’s running out of excuses.

Shaky defense.
Thin midfield.
No creativity except Pogba.
Inconsistent and without any ideas in the final third.
Players still looks mentally weak.
Easy mistakes all over the place.
Slow in out build up, pedestrian, sloppy passes and none existent game plan.
Relying to late on players out of form and players not good enough.
Using youngsters who’re not ready to step up at this level when we’re one down, that’s bad management.

How many more poor performances before people starts to wake up?

Question marks.

All that talk about mentality, pre season and incredible fitness is fine, but where's the tactical plan and cohesion as a football team ? This isn't the start of his United career. He's already had his honeymoon period where he was given leeway last season. Time to produce now, Ole.

How many shots were on target or those shots were from clear cut goal scoring chances.

To be frank we had two chances in the whole game. First when Martial was fouled and not given a penalty and the second was James goal.

The reason why we lost is because yet again OGS played the wrong team and the tactics was shit. It was clear Crystal Palace is going to surrender possessions and we did feck all with it.

Playing Lingard really hurt us and then replacing Mara with McTominay was even more stupid.

Missing a penalty is part of the game. The issue is we had not made enough clear cut chances to win the game let alone draw it.

OGS is at fault and rightly should be blamed.

Hopefully he realizes lingard doesn't present any value and starts integrating Gomes
