Its not his fault directly we lost today, but I don't really see it on the pitch what he's brought to this team, we look no better tactically than we have for all the past dreadful years.

I don't know and it's not my job to know. I never wanted Ole in the first place, but there's got to be a manager out there that can work with what we got. Several teams with worse squads than ours play better football than this tripe.
 
He's so one dimension...
This mediocre squad is to blame but his approach is almost identical every match. Oh hey, and 85' subs that does nothing, I love to see it.
 
Early days but nothing he showed at the closing stages of last season and in 3 games this season to suggest he was/is the right one.

You can't argue the players' aren't good enough, he had a chance to fix it but didn't.

This must be how freefall feels like.
 
He’s never been good enough and he never will be. The question was, could he cheese his way through this season? After the perfect gift start from Chelsea, the answer is now a conclusive no and this is going to be as bad as we’ve seen. And we’ve seen such bad things.

I’m not angry, I’m not even disappointed. I’m resigned.

That still doesn’t explain why we lined up like an away team at OT. Why we struggled to create anything at all. It’s all well and good mulling over things but we should be dispatching teams like Palace at OT.

Nah, defense is all right, no depth in midfield or attack, not consistent enough forwards, zero creativity from midfield except for Pogba, our no.10 hasn’t scored in months.
Until Rashford and Martial kick a level or two, we’ll get nowhere.

Team is poor.
 
Back him until Christmas, then sack him if no improvement.
To be honest, I think he is not good enough.

Revenue is only going to come in while the club's name means something. At this rate we'll start being ignored in place of clubs like City and Pool, and end up getting novelty sponsorships that cheapen the club. And then they'll dry up as well and we'll be done. The reason why we're such a "brand" is because of decades of dominance. Those days are gone for any club now so unless we compete with the big boys Woody is going to lose the only thing that makes him useful - which in my opinion isn't that impressive because any twat could get a random Japanese tractor company to pay us to have their name uttered in the same sentence as ours. It's just a question of how willing you are to whore the club out.

No but someone should be able to get this lot to play some decent football at least.
 
Its on OGS; hes not his own man trying to be a SAF replica, with this fantasical notion of buying english talent, who lets face it arent the greatest, and we dont even go for the best any more ie the wayne rooneys and sterlings for example.

He let Herrera, Lukkaku and fellaini go without bringing replacemnts in their position, thinking our current youth players would suddenly become world beaters, prepare for a long season like this. He didnt get the job on merit only through association.

Could be because we were being hacked down every time we got near (or inside) the box.

Different when you're at United, though. Whole different level of pressure.
 
I didn't want the club to hire him but he's here so what do we do? It's what we have for this season so we have to hope the young players getting a lot of playing time will step up. More experienced players like Pogba, Maguire and DDG will have to take responsibility. Getting our knickers in a twist won't help anyone.
 
I love Ole and want him to succeed but anyone with any knowledge of football will know that he only knows how to play one way. That is basically counter attacking football when other teams are over committed and use the pace of Rashford and Martial.
Football needs to be played as the right space at the right time. Which means it is played in a triangle where the player who has the ball has three options of passing to his three team mates. Look at United. They have no clue as to how to play football. Get it long up to the forwards and hope they do something. This is how we beat Chelsea.
Yes today Lindelof was at fault for the goal and we could have won or at least drawn this game if not for terrible individual mistakes but if it is utter insane to play our most creative player as a holding midfield player. Then you see the players have no idea how to play. There is no tactics apart from trying to press and that is it. No variation in our free kicks nor variation in our corners no variations apart from trying to play long ball.
He needs to go and we need to get someone who knows how to play football that will win games in more ways than one way.

The manager is employed to set up the team and find a solution to winning. Today he may have dealt the best hand he had but he had the summer window to prioritise targets to his superiors and push where necessary. I'm worried he might have been too nice and overvalued the quality at his disposal, and might have more situations like today - he plays a strong team, does little wrong in substitutions etc. But they let him down. But he will take the hit for that first, not them.
 
Man, you guys are lost. Solskjaers signings are doing very well and we should have had more signings.

The issue is the players who mess up so much

You see the same shite happening week after week. You get to a point where you start looking introspectivly and start taking responsibility for the situation you find yourself in. This team, manager, coaching staff, ceo, owners are not good enough.

Yeh sure the ref was pretty poor but we've lost far more games where the ref has nothing to do with it. It's just a deflection to say it's on him.
 
Shouldn't have to rely on penalites and ref decisions to beat Palace at Old Trafford. We should be creating chances in abundance.

I backed Jose till virtually the end and il do the same with Ole. I just hope he gets the team playing with a better cutting edge than they have. Otherwise what's the point?

Jose looks better and better, even if he didn't help himself on many occasions saying things publicly that he should have kept private. But the criticism of the club and of where we are and where our ambitions need to be if we want to do anything of note was spot on. I backed him till the end as well, but that was because he is a top class manager with a proven track record and knows how to win. I'll support Ole, but I already believe he's not up to the job.
 
I'll continue to back him, but why the feck did he sub Greenwood on when we struggled to create chances all game, leaving us with 3 strikers and no creativity at all on the pitch, besides from Pogba?

And then look against who we played today. Would any Palace player be in our first 11 except Zaha? That excuse is really boring. We can be outplayed by Liverpool, City even in some away games but against Palace at OT we didn't create anything in first 45 minutes. In second half it was better but we didn't create much clear chances.
Anyway, as i am saying for months now, it is not result what is a problem. It is the way how we play. Tell me honestly, do you think that this is good enough after 9 months in charge?

We played Crystal Palace not Liverpool.
 
OGS may not have his transfers but any manager continuing to play Lingard as a number 10 deserves to be sacked.
 
It doesnt matter who the manager is, the problem is 100% with how this club is run. Its grown more and more obvious every passing season.

We may as well stick with Ole because really whats the point changing. Its rinse and repeat.
 
Not gonna put this one on him really. When VAR ignores a blatant red for them and a blatant pen, and then the one you do get gets missed by the player, when players slip on one v one's with the keeper, when your team is undone by a goalkick and your CB not winning a routine header, and then your goalkeeper drops a clanger in the 93rd minute right after you equalized finally... How can anyone put that on the manager? "One of those days" where nothing at all goes right, even though the performance itself wasn't awful. Just big feck ups at the wrong moments.

Well that’s football for you. And I mean we could do something about it by working on set plays. It’s all bit scatter gun at the minute. I mean I’m not saying Ole needs to go after watching that but he’s to blame today. We shouldn’t be reliant on luck or our own goalkeeper to win us points.

You said on paper, bar Pogba, this team would struggle to finish top 10. I think that is a ridiculous statement.
