Oh I see. Makes more sense but cant see the glazers bothered about anything but raking it inNo I mean large part of fan base. Akin to 2010 g&g campaign.

Who would we go for next if Ole doesn't make it?
I can stomach finishing sixth if the likes of Greenwood and Gomes are given as much game time as possible.
However, finishing sixth whilst insisting on playing turd like Mata and Matic, then he can feck off.
Better start thinking of how to win in spite of the Glazers because no one is giving up a billion dollar asset because they aren't liked. It would bother our sponsors coupled with the fact that we’re already in the mess they may just decide to cash in and put all of our shares on the stock exchange.
Yeah, I get that another poster said that. My initial point was that if you (in this case, the original poster) write off some of the good results as "luck", then you should also consider the same for the bad results. I think we both agree that luck wasn't a significant factor for the overall results under Ole last season (3rd place counting only his games in charge).Well first things first, i never said we were lucky during our good form. I never mentioned anything about luck at all, in fact. That was another poster who said that. We had some good performances, some where we over performed, and others where we were clinical while not playing great. Saying that, our biggest result (PSG) was due to a very controversial penalty that many believed shouldn't have been given (i think it should've, personally) so you could look at that as fortune.
Anyway, as i said, i never said we were lucky so you're asking the wrong guy. I just vehemently disagree with your definition of "bad luck". We were just shite, quite frankly.

Why...?
If we finish 6th and Greenwood / Gomes / Chong are given lots of game-time, all it'll prove is that they either aren't good enough, or weren't coached right.
Amassing players and managers who finish 6th - whether young or not - is not what Utd is about.
It's very odd that so many people have been hypnotized into this idiotic mantra of - "failing's fine, as long as it's youth failing under Ole".
6th isn't good enough - youth or not, Ole or not.
facts
After 2 decades of being equated with prestige and succes under Fergie the united way is now that complete failure is okay as long as we play youth.
Never going to happen. Even a reduction in sponsorship money is unlikely over the short or mid term. You know what it will take for sponsors to stop throwing us money? When the sponsorship deals dry up and there is massive discontent within the fan base then maybe they’ll feel like cashing in. There are rumours that only of the Glazer siblings is fairly interested in United so that could play a part.
So not reaching top-4 in the hardest League in the Word is a complete failure ? Not good enough I can buy...but Complete failure ?

Many fans have gone through every possible scenario it will take to get the Glazers out and they all come down to buying the club or organising the entire fan base in a way that's logistically impossible
Facts ? Saying that 18-19 year olds not taking a club higher than top 6 in the P.L are not coached right ? What a joke
Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick, Jamie Vardy, Ruud van Nistelrooy … where were they at the age of 19 ?

I’d say top 4. Of course there could be mitigating circumstances, like winning the EL to get CL next season. Would be an assessment to make though, based on several factors.Where do people draw the line when it comes to Solskjaer's and Woodward's respective level of accountability?
There has been an outright failure to improve the squad by the chief executive which clearly limits the manager's ability to deliver success.
Therefore what is the minimum we can now expect of Solskjaer as manager before we could consider him to be underachieving regardless of Woodward's own ineptitude?
He should improve our players and playing style and the mood of the club. I’m fine with judging him on those things.Where do people draw the line when it comes to Solskjaer's and Woodward's respective level of accountability?

I'm pretty sure this transfer window has sealed Ole's fate: gone this time next year
First two matches I think will determine a pre/post Christmas exit for him. Get at least 4 points and he’ll build enough momentum. Less and I think the season won’t really get off the ground.By xmas.
He can be blamed if he fails to improve the players at his disposal. Can’t be blamed for not winning trophies though. But the football on display will be down to him. He’s been stitched up. I hope the fans remember who to blame when the shit hits the fan this season (by October at this rate).
Wonder what excuses will be tomorrow for pre match conferences regarding recruitment and players tomorrow.

Yea I think if he’s a good coach then 5th should be relatively secure (with healthy Pogba) and we’ll be in it for 4th. If he’s not a good coach or it’s an unlucky year for injuries then I’d expect 6th or worse.Yes, although that may be somewhat subjective for some. Perhaps it should result in a more tangible form of evidence like a cup win or an improvement to our league position from last year even if it was just one place?
Which he obviously does behind closed doors. He doesn't need to tell the press everything. He'll really improve Matić, Mata, Lingard?
As if players are some kind of delicate flowers who cannot be disturbed. Tell them they aren't good enough in some parts of their game and demand more, it's called constructive criticism to which you expect response from the players. Painted everything as rosy and great while Matić takes 2 minutes to turn around won't make any difference. Telling him to up his game or he'll be out of the door might just work.
By Christmas possibly. This team simply will not compete on any level.I'm pretty sure this transfer window has sealed Ole's fate: gone this time next year

Ole's not going throw his toys out of the pram and walk away from his dream job just because he didn't get as many players as he was promised. He watched SAF get the best out of his players for years and that's exactly what he's going to try to do this season. If there wasnt self interest, if he feels Ed lied to him, if he feels betrayed, if he thinks Ed didnt deliver what he was promised, he should resign and walk but he wont, after all its free for all. And if things dont go well for us, he will pick a bill, get sacked and money, Ed might hire Sam Alardici and he will wonder why we allowed Carrol to join Newcastle.
If JM just walked instead of spreading his poison all around him, there would be different views of him but because he already set the sacking plan in motion since contract renewal, he stayed and pushed toxicity till sacking and then sound of $$$$ as reward.
I actually meant he'l walk.. but yeh, Dickwood would sack him without taking a breathDo people seriously think Ole will be sacked? Really? He'll not kick up a fuss and will defend the club. More chance you'll see Ole's legacy at the club tarnished before Woodward sacks him. The bar has never been lower for a manager to do well at this club. He'll outlast Mourinho and Van Gaal.
